Ted Morgan
Edward "Ted" Morgan, 91, of Southworth died April 11, 2001, in Port Orchard.
He was born July 7, 1909, in Des Moines, Iowa. He graduated in 1927 from high school in Des Moines.
He married
Gladys Barker on Jan. 4, 1930, in Des Moines. She preceded him in death in 1992.
He enjoyed traveling and golf.
Survivors include a son, Homer of Southworth; a sister, Grace Earl of Grass Valley, Ore.; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A private memorial gathering will be at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kitsap Cremation and Burial Society.

Robert Drew
Robert LeRoy Drew, 62, of Bainbridge Island died of a brain tumor April 17, 2001, on Bainbridge Island.
He was born April 17, 1939, in South Gate, Calif., to Walter and Florence (Harrington) Drew.
He was a 1957 graduate of Morningside High School in Inglewood, Calif. He graduated from Whitworth College in Spokane in 1963 and from Louisville Presbyterian Seminary in Louisville in 1967.
He married
Peggy Larmon on Aug. 3, 1963 in Los Angeles.
He was a United Methodist Church minister for 28 years, retiring in 1995.
He was a member of the Kiwanis and the Bainbridge Ometepe Sister Island Association.
Survivors include his wife; his stepmother, Mary of Perris, Calif.; a son, James of Seattle; a daughter, Sherie of Redmond; a brother, Tom Davis of Des Moines; and a sister, Patricia Machal of Carson City, Nev.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Kass Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 7 at St. Cecilia's Church on High School and Madison roads, Bainbridge Island.
Interment will take place at Kane cemetery.

Gertie Sargent
Gertrude "Gertie" Sargent, 87, of Poulsbo, died
April 12, 2001, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center.
She was born June 18, 1913, in Puyallup to Albert and Rosa (Barrett) Walters. She attended Montesano High School.
She married
Lawrence T. Sargent on Aug. 15, 1931, in Shelton.
Survivors include a son, James of Carmichael, Calif.; three daughters, Lois Johnson of Santa Margarita, Calif., Kathryn Leetham of Morro Bay, Calif., and Darlene Moore of Bremerton; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a granddaughter, Gale Boyle.
A graveside service and interment will be at noon Monday at Satsop cemetery, 2001.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whiteside Family Mortuary in Elma.
Marjorie Coalter
Marjorie Lucia Coalter, 78, of Port Orchard, died March 26, 2001, at Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born June 3, 1922, in Chatsworth, Calif., to Vincent and Mary Marguerette (Simmons) Smith. She attended business school for one year.
She was a bookkeeper for 40 years, retiring in 1985.
She enjoyed solving word puzzles and jigsaw puzzles.
Survivors include a son, William of Port Orchard; a daughter, Sandra Bishop and husband Lawrence; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Madeline Gordy
Madeline Lucille Gordy, 79, of Bremerton died April 15, 2001, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 26, 1921, in Westerville, Neb., to Edmund and Nellie (Clark) Ochsner. She graduated in 1939 from Gooding High School in Gooding, Idaho.
She married
Melvin Gordy on Jan. 30, 1967, in Coeur d' Alene. He preceded her in death in 1997.
She worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in the planning department for 28 years, retiring in 1981.
She enjoyed collecting coral, shells and reading.
Survivors include a son, Gary C. Jenkins of Poulsbo; a daughter, Katherine L. Zellers of South Haven, Miss.; two brothers, R.J. Ochsner of Buhl, Idaho, and Dick Ochsner of Salt Lake City; a sister, Caroline Olson of Paauilo, Hawaii; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She requested no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.
Robert Darling
Robert A. Darling, 70, of Bremerton died of lung cancer April 14, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born July 2, 1930, in Chicago to Roy and Helen (Goodman) Darling.
He married
Sally Ann Register on July 6, 1951, at the Naval Chapel in Bremerton. She preceded him in death in 1985.
He served in the U.S. Navy, from 1947 to 1967 as a catapult expert. He achieved the rank of master chief and was awarded service medals for Korea and Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, he joined Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as a nuclear machinist for 23 years, retiring in 1995.
He enjoyed operating a ham radio and genealogy.
Survivors include a son, Robert M. of Wauna; four daughters, Rene Fossum and Ann Burt, both of Bainbridge Island, Kerry Darling of Burien and Heather Wieker of Federal Way; numerous brothers and sisters; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Stewart, in 1985.
He requested no services. Cremation is under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Lois Sarver
Poulsbo resident Lois I. Sarver, 84, died April 15, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Livermore, Iowa, to Roy and Elva Pollock. She graduated from Seattle's Lincoln High School.
She married
H. Edward Sarver on
July 27, 1939, in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1972.
Mrs. Sarver was a librarian for the Lynnwood Library until retiring in 1978.
She enjoyed playing bridge and the organ.
Survivors include a son, Joel of Bremerton; a daughter, Sharon Alger of Poulsbo; three sisters, Ruth Baker of Lynnwood, Joyce James of Seattle and Shirley Rausch of Snohomish; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie.
There will be a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. April 26 at St. Charles Episcopal Church in Poulsbo, with a reception following.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sharing a written fond memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Ruth Cole
Ruth Cole, 94, of Bremerton died April 15, 2001, of natural causes at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 6, 1906, in Seaside, Ore. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1924.
She married
Roy Cole on Jan. 10, 1924, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1962.
Mrs. Cole was a licensed practical nurse. She worked at Harrison Hospital for 33 years, retiring in 1971.
She had been a member of the Bremerton Garden Club and Charleston Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Bill of Gouldbusk, Texas, and Jim of Sunnyvale, Calif.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Richard.
Interment is at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton with arrangements under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Consetta DePizzo
Consetta Gabrielle DePizzo, 75, of Suquamish died April 13, 2001, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center.
She was born July 10, 1925, in Sharpsville, Pa., to James and Rose (Mango) DePizzo. She graduated in 1943 from Sharpsville High School.
Survivors include three daughters, Constance Swanlund of Bainbridge Island, Lisa Tasdemir of Suquamish and Jama Green of Kirkland; three sisters, Rose Pomper, Isabelle Kostas and Joanne Totin, all of Sharpsville; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hope Center, 9191 Moran St., Bainbridge Island. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel, with cremation at Cherry Grove Memorial Park.
Michele Lamey
Michele Lamey, 48, of Southworth died of breast cancer April 13, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Dec. 24, 1952, in Seattle to Kenneth and Lillian (Rutz) Moore. She graduated in 1971 from Hazen High School in Renton.
She married
Malcolm Lamey on May 22, 1979, in Seattle.
She was a retail clerk in grocery stores owned by her family in Kitsap County. She also was a horticulturist in the Southworth area.
She enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her former husband; her mother, Lillian Moore of Port Orchard; two daughters, Sara and Andrea, both of Southworth; two brothers, Paul Moore of Federal Way and Ken Moore of Eastern Washington; and two sisters, Sharron Timme of Renton and Linda Eisenhower of Everett. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Carol.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Thursday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. May 5 at Gardenscapes in Southworth.
