Betty Pecotte
Betty JoAnn Pecotte, 56, of Port Orchard died Feb. 20, 2001, in Tacoma.
She was born Dec. 4, 1944, in Little Rock, Ark. She was a graduate of Central Kitsap High School.
She married
Edward Pecotte on June 9, 1962, in Silverdale.
Survivors include her husband, her parents and two sons, Jason and Alex, both of Port Orchard.
A memorial is planned for Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at her home in Port Orchard.
Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or the American Heart Association.
Marilyn Spurling
Marilyn Ruth Spurling, 64, of Poulsbo died of cancer Feb. 20, 2001, in Poulsbo.
She was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Seattle to Donald and Ruby Swanson. She graduated in 1954 from West Seattle High School and in 1965 from the University of Washington.
She taught school at Pearson Elementary School for 29 years, retiring in 1994.
She enjoyed reading and sewing.
She attended Sylvan Way Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Randy of Poulsbo; a daughter, Robin Breakey of Poulsbo; two brothers, Bill Ogdon of San Jose, Calif., and Bob Ogdon of Surrey, British Columbia, Canada; a sister, Marge Riedel of Arlington; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Sylvan Way Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton;

Jacob Bradley
Jacob L. Bradley died at birth Feb. 21, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
His parents were Joshua and Bradley and Lacey Glassman of Silverdale.
He is survived by his parents; maternal grandmother, Valerie Glassman of Tacoma; paternal grandparents, Penelope and Rodney Bradley of Denver, Colo.; and maternal great-grandmother, Virginia Donovan of Port Hadlock.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Denise McGee Earle
Denise Marie McGee Earle, 52, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died of brain cancer Feb. 13, 2001, in Idaho Falls.
She was born May 31, 1948, to Richard and Dorothy (Rice) McGee in Bremerton. She attended Olympic College and graduated from the University of Washington.
She was an engineering aide at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for two years. She was a dental hygienist for 10 years.
She served on the board for the Idaho Falls Symphony and led the pre-marriage program for her church.
She enjoyed entertaining, dancing and volunteering for school activities and charities.
She was a member Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Idaho Falls.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Earle; her parents of Port Orchard; a son, Charles of Idaho Falls; and a brother, Ronald McGee of Ellensburg.
A funeral Mass was held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Curtis Macomber
Curtis Macomber Jr., 49, of Belfair died of cancer Feb. 20, 2001, at Capital Medical Center in Olympia.
He was born March 21, 1951, in Seattle to Curtis and Rebecca (Dotson) Macomber.
Mr. Macomber was an emergency services dispatcher with Mason County Fire District 5. He also was a volunteer firefighter, achieving the rank of lieutenant.
Survivors include his mother, Rebecca Macomber of Belfair, and two brothers, Patrick Macomber of Sparks, Nev., and David Macomber of Kent.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Shelton Civic Center, 501 Cota St., in Shelton.

Christy Parrott
Christy Parrott, 50, of Tacoma died Feb. 20, 2001, at home.
She was born July 2, 1950, in Bremerton to George and Shyla Blessing. She graduated in 1968 from East Bremerton High School.
She enjoyed music, gardening and was involved in various support groups.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Shyla and Don Manning of Bremerton; a son, Hollin of Taylorsville, Utah; three sisters, Cozette Billings and Cheri Bergquist, both of Poulsbo, and Cindy Flanagan of Bremerton; a brother, George Blessing of Bremerton; and one grandchild.
At her request, no service will be held.
Denise McGee Earle
Denise Marie McGee Earle, 52, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, died of brain cancer Feb. 13, 2001, in Idaho Falls.

William Goff
William P. Goff, 78, of Kingston died Feb. 16, 2001, at his home.
He was born Feb. 9, 2001, in Seattle to Paul and Verna (Stewart) Goff. He graduated in 1939.
He served in the Army and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He married
Dorothy Pickell on Feb. 4, 1949, in Las Vegas. She preceded him in death in 1998.
He was a radio and television broadcaster in the Seattle area for more than 15 years.
He enjoyed golf and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Larry of Andover, Mass., and Rodman of Sequim; two daughters, Nanette Denison of El Cajon, Calif., and Dorellen Goff of Park City, Utah; a brother, Paul of Tacoma; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
At the family's request, there will be no service.
Cremation will be under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove memorial Park.
Franklin Simpson
Franklin Bernard Simpson, 66, of Bremerton died Feb. 21, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Dec. 19, 1934, in Steubenville, Ohio, to Bernard and Dorothy (Owens) Simpson. He graduated in 1952 from Wintersville High School in Wintersville, Ohio.
He served in the Army from 1957 to 1960, achieving the rank of specialist 4th class. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal.
He was an electrical engineer for the Naval Facilities Fire Suppression at Bangor Subase for 23 years, retiring in 2000.
Survivors include a brother, Edward of Brilliant, Ohio.
At his request, there will be no service. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Ken McMackin
Ken L. McMackin, 54, of Bremerton died of cancer Feb. 19, 2001, at home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1946, in Bremerton to Lon and Esther (Johnson) McMackin. He was a 1964 graduate of West High School in Bremerton.
He married
Holly White on Sept. 10, 1965, in Port Orchard.
He worked in collision repair locally for many years. At the time of his death, he managed North Kitsap Auto Rebuild.
He was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors include his wife; his mother; a son, Jerry McMackin of Bremerton; two daughters, Corinna Smith of Belfair and Connie Hammock of Poulsbo; two sisters, Terry McKinley of Kingston and Cindy Davis of Silverdale; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service with a reception following will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 3414 Ninth St., in Bremerton. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Bob Morrissey
Robert "Bob" Morrissey, 80, of Bremerton died following an extended illness Feb. 21, 2001, at Belmont Terrace.
He was born May 22, 1920, in Spokane to Michael and Edna (Olson) Morrissey. He attended high school in Spokane.
He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945, receiving the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the American Theater Service Medal. He achieved the rank of Technical Sergeant 4.
He married
Willow Kubli on March 11, 1947, in Bremerton.
He was a transportation leadingman in Shop 2 at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 35 years, retiring in 1977. He also owned B&B Barber & Styling Shop in Bremerton.
He was a member of the American Legion.
He was a Protestant.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert of Bremerton and Michael of Kent; a daughter, Sandra Harden of Bremerton; a sister, Mary Forgey of Bremerton; and five grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
