Carol Blundon
Carol Lee Blundon, 57, of Bremerton died Feb. 10, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Feb. 21, 1943, in Bremerton to Harry and Della (Widdicombe) Pettis. She graduated in 1961 from East Bremerton High School. She attended Olympic College and Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, Va.
She married
Clifford Blundon on Aug. 8, 1970, in Bremerton.
She was a mental-health technician at Kitsap Mental Health.
She served on the board of the Kitsap Community Health Center, and was a member of the Native American History Club.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Laurie McIntyre of Silverdale, Connie King of Bremerton and Sherrie Hill of Poulsbo; three sisters, Sandy Yob and Debbie Crowl, both of Bremerton, and Linda Ryals of Coos Bay, Ore.; a brother, Rick Pettis of Bremerton; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Hill, and a daughter, Pattie Blundon.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, with a memorial service at 2 p.m. A reception will follow at All Star Lanes' conference room in Silverdale.

Nancy Fischer
Nancy C. Fischer, 57, of Poulsbo died Feb. 12, 2001, at her home.
She was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Portland, Ore., to Edwin and Carroll (Siner) Handy. She attended Renton Technical College.
She married
John B. Fischer on March 2, 1974, in Seattle.
Mrs. Fischer was a secretary at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for eight years, retiring in 1993.
She enjoyed bingo and computers.
She was a member of Kingston Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, John of Poulsbo; two daughters, Teresa Felix and April Gonce, both of Poulsbo; a brother, Edwin Handy of Eugene, Ore.; and one grandchild.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at Kingston Christian Church. Cremation will take place at the Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove.

Jacquiline Greene
Jacquiline J. Greene, 66, of Bremerton died Feb. 10, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Feb. 16, 1934, in Seattle to Ona and Chancy Stubbs. She graduated in 1987 from Olympic College.
She was a registered nurse, practicing in home health care.
She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing with her grandson.
Survivors include a son, Chuck; a daughter, Dawn Campbell; three sisters; Mary Casper, Barbara Johnson, and Sharon Stevens; and four grandchildren.
A private service is planned.
Memorial donations may be made to a hospice of the donor's choice.
Anna Clark
Anna Royce Clark, 86, of Bremerton died Feb. 3, 2001, at Later Years Adult Family Care of Bremerton.
She was born Jan. 6, 1915, in Atlanta, Ga., to Roy and Nellie (Stevens) McConnell. She attended school in Plymouth, Iowa.
She married
Henry Clark on June 3, 1933, in Plymouth. He preceded her in death in 2000.
Mrs. Clark was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include a son, William of San Diego; a daughter, Jacquelyn Allen of Belfair; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Marian Owens
Marian J. Owens, 38, of Port Orchard died Feb. 11, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born June 19, 1962, in Washington, D.C., to Thomas and Olive (Campbell) Owens. She graduated in 1979 from Victor Valley High School in Victorville, Calif. She attended Victor Valley College and Ventura College.
She served in the Navy from 1982 to 1987, and received a commendation.
She enjoyed camping and reading.
Survivors include her parents; three brothers, Derek Avery of San Diego, Gordon Queens of New York and Thomas Oakley of California.
No service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Steven Alden
Steven Robert Alden, 46, of Bremerton died of respiratory failure due to asthma Jan. 18, 2001, in Port Townsend.
He was born May 24, 1954, in LeFere, France, to Robert and Ginette (Martin) Alden. He graduated in 1971 from West High School, later attending Olympic College.
Mr. Alden served in the Air Force from 1971 to 1974.
He graduated from the welding apprenticeship program at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where he was a welder for several years.
Mr. Alden enjoyed collecting cars. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his parents; two daughters, Samantha Alden and Christina Alden-King, both of Bremerton; a brother, James of Bremerton; a sister, Francine Alden-Six of Oregon; and one grandson.
No service is planned.

Jack Weller
Jack R. Weller, 81, of Bremerton died Feb. 11, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born July 7, 1919, in Spokane to Ted and Leasa (Little) Weller. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1928.
Mr. Weller served in the Army from 1941-1945, achieving the rank of staff sergeant.
He married
Jessie Blake on March 25, 1951, in Seattle.
Mr. Weller was the club manager at Kitsap Golf and Country Club for 25 years. He also was a master gardener.
He enjoyed golf and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a daughter, Nicole Edmunds of Spokane; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Weller.

Gordon Brauer
Gordon John Brauer, 100, of Poulsbo died Feb. 14, 2001, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center.
He was born Sept. 7, 1900, in Lemolo to Uno and Sarah (Peterson) Brauer. He attended Poulsbo High School.
He married
Augusta Noll on July 8, 1922, in Seattle. She preceded him in death in 1990.
Mr. Brauer worked for Seattle Transit for 43 years, retiring as a senior inspector in 1964.
He enjoyed gardening. He was a member of North Kitsap Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gordon of Poulsbo; a daughter, Nell "Dolly" Fleming; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. He also was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Visitation is scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Friday at Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel in Poulsbo. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at North Kitsap Baptist Church. Burial will be private.

Lillian Sceili
Lillian June Sceili, 70, of Seabeck died Feb. 13, 2001, in Seabeck.
She was born June 3, 1930, in St. Paul, Minn., to Andrew and Johanna (Yindrova) Gurican. She attended Worthington High School in St. Paul.
She married
William Sceili on Feb. 24, 1960.
Mrs. Sceilli was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and miniature furniture building. She was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ian of Belfair; three daughters, Sabre Massey of Port Orchard, Cari Mock of Belfair and Shaughn Guerin of California; a sister, Rosemary Glenn of California; a brother, Steve Gurican of California; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Doc Herr
David William "Doc" Herr Jr., 68, of Silverdale died of cancer Feb. 11, 2001, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
He was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Aberdeen to David and Hazel (Kaine) Herr. He graduated from West Seattle High School in 1952.
He married
Beverly Walden on April 5, 1957, in Bethesda, Md.
He served in the Navy from 1951 to 1985, earning the Navy Commendation Medal with a Gold Star.
He also worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard Shop 105 and retired in 1994.
He was a member of the Elks 1181. He enjoyed bowling, golf and gardening.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Shoreline; a son, David W. III of Silverdale; a daughter, Tracy Hartman of Navarre, Fla.; a sister, Barbara Hudson of La Quinta, Calif.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Christine E. Meyer, in 1986.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Verna McDowell
Verna Idella McDowell, 85, of Belfair died Feb. 4, 2001, in Belfair.
She was born Aug. 19, 1915, in Naches to Oscar and Idella (Jones) Busey.
She graduated from Naches High School in 1933. She attended the Washington State Normal School in Ellensburg.
On Dec. 9, 1938, she married
Ted McDowell in Yakima.
He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. McDowell was a member of the Lower Naches Garden Club, the Grange Women's Club and Selah United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a son, Alan of Belfair; a daughter, Susan Greer of Marion, Va.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service was held Feb. 8 at Selah United Methodist Church, with inurnment at Terrace Heights cemetery in Yakima. Arrangements were under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
