Lauren Keen
Lauren Elizabeth Keen, 21, of Hansville died of unknown causes Jan. 29, 2001, in Seattle.
She was born Sept. 11, 1979, in Port Townsend to Chip and Linda Keen.
She was a 1998 graduate of North Kitsap High School in Poulsbo and attended the University of Washington.
She is survived by her parents, of Hansville; a brother, Charlie of Seattle; and her grandparents, Carl and Mary Stutzman of Fresno, Calif., and Bob and Bette Keen of Sacramento.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hansville Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.

George Lewis
George Lee Lewis, 65, of Kent died of heart complications Jan. 15, 2001, at Virginia Mason Hospital.
He was born Feb. 27, 1936, in New Mexico to Norman and Ina Lewis. He was a 1956 graduate of South Kitsap High School.
He served in the Air Force and later worked for GTE 35 years, retiring last year.
He is survived by his mother; a sister, Sylvia Ellsworth of Port Orchard; a brother, Don Lewis of Bremerton; five children; and grandchildren.
A memorial service was held in Des Moines, Wash., at the home of his daughter Diane Wattenberg.
Lucille Andle
Lucille M. Andle, 84, of Bremerton died Jan. 31, 2001, at Crista Shores in Silverdale.
She was born Dec. 16, 1916, in Hartford, Conn., to Paul and Angelina (Manfred) Sartori.
She married
John Andle on Oct. 31, 1940, in Hartford. He preceded her in death in 1965.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and caring for her flowers.
Survivors include a son, Richard Andle of Connecticut; two daughters, Brenda Rohan of Connecticut and Joanne Backus of Bremerton; a sister, Rose D'onofrio of Connecticut; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
At her request, a service will take place in Hartford, Conn. Local arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Aaron Vertefeuille
Aaron Nathaniel Vertefeuille, 25, of Bremerton died in an automobile accident near Yakima on Jan. 28, 2001.
He was born April 23, 1975, in Bremerton to Chuck and Lynn Travis.
He was a 1995 graduate of Bremerton High School and was a drummer in the marching band. He also graduated from Bryman College.
He joined the Washington Army National Guard, achieving the rank of specialist E-4.
He later was the assistant manager at Sera-Tec Plasma Center in Seattle and was a certified phlebotomist.
Survivors include his wife, Danielle; an infant son, Tyler; a brother, Jason; his parents, Lynn and Chuck Travis; his father, Don Vertefeuille; and his paternal grandparents, Hope and John Vertefeuille.
Services are pending. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Robert Heath
Robert G. Heath, 87, of Port Orchard died Jan. 30, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born June 29, 1913, in Seattle to Alvah and Erma (Gordon) Emerson.
He married
Zoe Heath in October 1941 in Port Orchard. She preceded him in death in 1986.
He drove an ambulance during World War II.
He was superintendent with the Kitsap County road district, retiring in 1975.
Mr. Heath was an outdoorsman and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include a son, Gary Heath of Kitsap County; two stepsons, Dan Case of Port Orchard and Mike Case of Arizona; and a sister, Hallie Glaze of Hood River, Ore. He also was preceded in death by a brother, Don Heath; and a stepson, Harry Case.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Frank Torres
Frank Jacob Torres, 19, of Bremerton died Jan. 31, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born Jan. 18, 1982, in San Diego, Calif., to Anton and Sheryl (House) Torres. He attended Bremerton High School.
He enjoyed art and poetry.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Nathan Woodcock and Anton Torres Jr. both of Bremerton; a sister, Kerri Woodcock of Bremerton; and his grandparents, Shirley Fultz of Bremerton, Frank House of Tahuya, Adelia Torres of Mexico and Oscar Torres of Escondio, Calif.
A memorial service is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday at Grand Central Station in Jackson Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Kitsap Cremation and Burial Society.
Memorial donations may be made at any Washington Mutual Bank, for the benefit of Sheryl and Anton Torres, in memory of Frank Torres.
Nancy Parker
Nancy Rose Parker, 61, of Bremerton died Jan. 24, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 12, 1939, in Gary, Ind., to Carl and Eileen (Clark) Propect. She graduated in 1957 from Carson High School in Carson, Calif.
She married

Survivors include, her husband; her mother of Hobart, Ind.; two sons, Carl of California, and John of Arkansas; four stepsons, James, Robert and Kenneth, all of Maryland, and David of California; three daughters, Sandy, Nancy and Kathy of Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Julie of Arlington; three brothers, Joe of Las Vegas, Floyd of Hobart, Ind., and John of California; 10 grandchildren; and 10 stepgrandchildren.
Danny Reed
Danny L. Reed, 51, of Bremerton died Jan. 29, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born July 14, 1949, in Bremerton to Fredrick and Altha (Murner) Reed.
He graduated in 1967 from East High School in Bremerton. He attended Olympic College and the University of Washington.
He was a tool repair supervisor at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 26 years.
He enjoyed drama club and family gatherings. He was Methodist.
Survivors include his parents of Bremerton; three brothers, Ron, Rick and Dave, all of Bremerton; and his grandfather, Wesley Murner of Bremerton.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Feb. 10 at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Carol Ann Mallonee
Carol Ann (Reynen) Boron Mallonee, 60, of Seattle died Jan. 29, 2001, at home in West Seattle.
She was born June 12, 1940, in Montana to Merele and Lorene Reynen. She attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard.
She married
Anthony Boron in 1959, they were later divorced. She married
her second husband, Jack Mallonee, in 1973.
She worked in the receiving department of the Boeing Co., for 15 years, retiring in 1984.
She enjoyed golf and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; her father; four daughters, Krista Leyerle of Gig Harbor, Melony Clauson of Maple Valley, Monica Bigford and Michelle Boron, both of Seattle; a brother, Warren Reynen, of Bremerton; a sister, Bobbie Granstrom of Port Orchard; and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melinda Boron.
Visitation is planned from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday at West Home Funeral Chapel, 4400 California Ave., Seattle. A funeral service will be during the visitation, at 4 p.m.

Darlene Ratliff
Darlene S. Ratliff, 81, of Kingston died Jan. 27, 2001, in Kingston.
She was born April 8, 1919, in Grundy County, Mo., to Thomas and Laura J. (Gamble) Meek.
She married
Oden William Ratliff on Dec. 21, 1936, in Trinton, Mo. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing and crocheting.
She was Baptist.
Survivors include two sons, Roy of Seattle and William of Shelton; a daughter, W. Cherryl Francklyn of Poulsbo; a sister, Willa Porter of Tomahawk, Ky.; 16 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a son, Wilbur (Chick) Ratliff; and a sister, Garnette Richardson.
Visitation is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Stone Chapel. Interment
will take place at Breidablik cemetery.
Adena Anderson
Adena B. Anderson, 88, of Olympia died Jan. 25, 2001, at St. Peter's Hospital.
She was born Sept. 27, 1912, in Waterman to Nels and Beda Johnson. She was a 1931 graduate of South Kitsap High School.
She married
Jack J. Anderson in March 1938, in Port Orchard. He preceded her in death in 1956.
She was a waitress at Myhre's Cafe in Port Orchard for 30 years, retiring in 1977.
She enjoyed sports and was a Mariners fan.
She was Lutheran.
Survivors include three sons, Jack of Seattle, Terry of Olympia and Steve of Allyn; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
A celebration of her life will be held in Olympia at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Sunset Lane cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.
Katie Walls
Katie Bell Walls, 92, of Bremerton died Jan. 29, 2001, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 10, 1908, in Cass, Texas, to William and Melinda (Mitchell) Browning.
She married
Lemuel Walls on Feb. 16, 1924, in Queen City, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1994.
She was a homemaker and an evangelist minister for Assemblies of God Church.
Survivors include three sons, J.C. of Port Orchard, Harold of Atlanta, Texas, and Carrol of Bremerton; two daughters, Joyce Stuckey of Atlanta, Texas, and Martha Reese of Marietta, Ga.; two sisters, Lucy Meisen of San Diego and Cecil Jones of Linden, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service, both at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
