Unabelle Rich
Unabelle M. Rich, 86, of Bremerton died Jan. 23, 2001, at Bay Pointe Retirement Community.
She was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Montrose, Colo., to Bert and Maryan (Reynolds) Austin. She graduated in 1932 from Bremerton High School.
She married
Harold H. Rich in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed square dancing.
Survivors include two sons, James of Seabeck and William of Utah; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred of Nevada and Eleanor of Santa Anna, Calif.
At the family's request, no service will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Carroll Rea
Carroll Ann Rea, 49, died Jan. 16, 2001, at her Seabeck residence.
She was born May 28, 1951, in Atlanta, Ga.
Survivors include her companion, Robert Rea; three daughters, Dawn Rea and Leah Rea, both of Bremerton, and Tammy Roth of Nebraska; and six grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no service. Arrangements are under the direction of American Memorial Assoc.
Cindy Beckett
Cindy E. Beckett, 48, of Bremerton died Jan. 20, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born July 30, 1952, in Bremerton to William and Lois (Burroughs) Beckett. She was a 1972 graduate of West Bremerton High School and graduated from Western Washington State College in Bellingham.
She was a flight attendant for United Airlines for
23 years.
She was a long distance runner and enjoyed travel.
Survivors include her mother; two brothers, Wayne G. Beckett of Portland, Ore., and Guy W. Beckett of Bremerton; and a sister, Jean Miller of Portland.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Lincoln Avenue Bible Church on 13th Street and Lincoln Avenue. A private interment will be held at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Brian Lowe
Former Suquamish resident Brian Richard Lowe, 23, of of Salt Lake City, Utah, died in an automobile accident Jan. 17, 2001, in Elk, Mont.
He was born May 29, 1977, in Bremerton to Robert and Linda (Miller) Lowe. He attended North Kitsap High School.
He was the proprietor of Sweet Nothings, a tobacco accessories store in Suquamish.
He enjoyed sailing and collecting handblown glass.
Survivors include his mother, Linda of Suquamish; a brother, David of West Valley, Utah; and numerous family and friends.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Suquamish Tribal Center Gym on Sandy Hook Road in Poulsbo.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
Ronald Wimberly
Former Port Orchard resident Ronald Joseph Wimberly, 64, of Beaverton, Ore., died of a cerebral hemorrhage Dec. 28, 2000, at St. Vincent's Hospital in Portland, Ore.
He was born March 25, 1936, in Hutchinson, Kan., to Leslie Thomas and Kathadeen (Taylor) Wimberly. He married
Joy L. Curts Minnix on Nov. 14, 1959.
Mr. Wimberly owned a real estate company.
He enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of Mountaineers.
He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Branson L. of Woodinville; three daughters, Dawn M. Winslow of Port Orchard, Erin K. Peerboom of Beaverton and Leslie A. Wimberly of Redmond; a brother, Thomas A. of Wichita, Kan.; and eight grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held Jan. 3 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church under the direction of Pegg, Paxson & Springer Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made to National Parks and Wildlife.
Theresa Perkins
Theresa M. Perkins, 49, of Port Orchard died of cancer Jan. 22, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born Oct. 27, 1951, in Bremerton to Frank and Elise (Wooldridge) Griffin. She graduated in 1970 from West High School and attended Olympic College.
She married
Paul E. Perkins on Dec. 7, 1991, in Bremerton.
She was an accounting technician at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard commissary for 10 years.
She also was an event planner and enjoyed flower arranging.
She was a member of the Ebenezer African Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Craig Cooper of Boston and Roger Perkins of Oxnard, Calif.; two daughters; LaTrease Burton of Port Orchard and Annquenette Sheppard of Bremerton; three brothers, William Decker Johnson of Seattle, Jessie Griffin of Bothell and Keith Griffin of Bremerton; four sisters, Verna Cheatham and Bernice Griffin, both of Tacoma, Deadra Smith and Elise Daniels, both of Bremerton; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Melville Williams
Melville J. Williams, 79, of Bremerton died Jan. 23, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 11, 1921, in Glenwood, Ore., to Joseph and Louella Marie (Buffum) Martin. He graduated in 1940 from Benson Poly Technical High School.
He married
Theora Michael in 1941 in Bremerton. She preceded him in death in 1995.
He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Williams was an optical lensman at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years, retiring in 1973.
He was a member of the Guild of Mold Loft Engineers and was an avid pinochle player.
Survivors include three sons, Donald and Norman, both of Bremerton, and Richard of Vancouver; a daughter, Marla S. Taylor of Port Orchard; a brother, Charles Williams of Otis, Ore.; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is planned for 2 p.m. Friday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will take place at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Fred Keith
Fred Roy Keith, 80, of Matlock died Jan. 12, 2001, in Lakewood.
He was born Mar. 31, 1920, in Hermiston, Ore., to Louis and Ruth (Hughes) Keith.
He served in the Army in anti-aircraft from 1941 to 1945, achieving the rank of staff sergeant. He received the Bame Service and World War II Victory medal.
He married
Diane Drake on March 23, 1973, in Gorst.
He was a rigger at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 15 years, retiring in 1965.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Larry and Fred, both of Olympia, and Wayne of Shelton; two brothers, Harold of Matlock and Robert of Belfair; a sister, Ann Kiehn of Belfair; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at 201 West Maple Rock Road, in Matlock.
Hazel Jones
Hazel Luella Jones, 92, of Bainbridge Island died Jan. 21, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 13, 1908, in Plymouth, N.Y., to Leon and Lottie (Martin) Johnson. She was a 1927 graduate of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, N.Y., and a 1930 graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse for 30 years, retiring in 1960.
She was a member of Eastern Star and Lenore Ostrander Children's Hospital Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Kummerow of Bainbridge Island; a brother, Earl Johnson of Oneonta, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell M. Jones, in 1978; and six brothers, Alfred, Martin, Leon, Leo, Devillo and Erford.
Private memorial services will be held in Deansboro, N.Y. Local arrangements are under the direction of Kass Funeral Home.

Dale Braget
Dale Edward Braget, 62, of Bremerton died of lung cancer Jan. 23, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born March 26, 1938, in Walhalla, N.D., to Edward and Annie (McNeil) Braget. He attended high school in Bremerton.
He served in the Navy and the Air Force.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Fox and Jami Braget; four brothers, Howard, Neil and Doug, all of Bremerton, and Floyd of Shelton; a sister, Kathleen Larson of Oregon; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leah Braget; a brother, Danny Braget; and two sisters, Carol Flynn and Doreen Austin.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Crosby Hall.

Virgil Severson
Virgil I. Severson, 78, of Bremerton, died of a heart attack Jan. 11, 2001, in Bremerton.
He was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Blunt, S.D., to Oscar and Laura (Larson) Severson. He was a 1940 graduate of Montrose High School in Montrose, S.D.
He was a salesman and a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two brothers, Jewel A. of Bremerton and Darwin L. of Omaha, Neb. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lavon.
A memorial service will take place in Omaha. Local arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
