Lowell Quesnell
Lowell Francis Quesnell, 77, of Hansville died Jan. 16, 2001, in Hansville.
He was born Dec. 12, 1923, in Crookston, Minn., to Walter and Lou (Green) Quesnell. He graduated in 1942 from Lincoln High School in Seattle and graduated from the University of Washington.
He served in the Navy.
Mr. Quesnell was an educator and coach for
29 years, retiring in 1976.
He was a member of the Kiwanis, VFW and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his companion, Jacqueline Frizelli; two sons, Larry of Bow and Nicolas of Lake Forest Park; two daughters, Sharon Quesnell of Sequim and Marilou Cadock of Olalla; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Quesnell and Marion Bellows.
A memorial service is scheduled for noon Feb. 3 at Shorewoods at 5247 NE Ponderosa Drive, in Hansville.

Margie Bradley-Gage
Margie Alma Bradley-Gage, 68, of Poulsbo died Jan. 19, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born
Aug. 26, 1932, in LaClede, Mo., to Stephen and Ocie (Dewitt) Eveland. She graduated in 1949 from Hood River High School in Troutdale, Ore.
She married
Elwyn Gage on Oct. 4, 1997, in Poulsbo.
She was a homemaker and co-business owner with her husband.
She enjoyed gardening and Bible study.
She was a member of Kingston Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Burnetta Whalen of Kennewick, Diane Sims of Yakima and Katie Mabe of Moxee; two sisters, Dorothy Bradley of Kingston and June Eveland of Libby, Mont.; two brothers, Floyd of Tygh Valley, Ore., and Nelson of Mesa;
13 grandchildren; and
19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Byron Bradley, in 1995; and a son, Bryan Bradley, in 1990.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. today at Kingston Christian Church in Kingston. Cremation will take place at Cherry Grove Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Pouslbo Mortuary Stone Chapel.

Jeanne Benninger
Former Silverdale resident Jeanne Ruth Benninger, 75, of Chehalis died of Parkinson's disease Jan. 21, 2001, at Rosary Manor Skilled Nursing Facility in Centralia.
She was born Dec. 21, 1925, in Lynwood, Calif., to Harvey and Ruth (Lowis) Alexander. She graduated from high school in Lynwood.
She married
James Edson Benninger on Aug. 30, 1943, in Lynwood.
She was a beautician and a homemaker.
She enjoyed writing poetry, journals and reflections on life.
Survivors include her husband; a son, James of Oriental, N.C.; a daughter, Linda Bailey of Centralia; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
No service is planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Newell-Hoerling's Mortuary in Centralia.

Hazel Jones
Hazel Luella Jones, 92, of Bainbridge Island died Jan. 21, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 13, 1908, in Plymouth N.Y., to Leon and Lottie (Martin) Johnson. She was a 1927 graduate of Hamilton High School in Hamilton, N.Y., and a 1930 graduate of St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a registered nurse for 30 years, retiring in 1960.
She was a member of Eastern Star and Lenore Ostrander Children's Hospital Guild.
Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Kummerow of Bainbridge Island; a son, Earl Johnson of Oneonta, N.Y.; three grandchildren; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell M. Jones, in 1978; and six brothers, Alfred, Martin, Leon, Leo, Devillo and Erford.
A private memorial service will be held in Deansboro, N.Y. Local arrangements are under the direction of Kass Funeral Home.

Anne Fierbaugh
Former Kitsap County resident Anne Marie Ramirez Fierbaugh, 34, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Jan. 18, 2001, in Colorado Springs.
She was born Sept. 1, 1966, in Fort Dix, N.J., to Manuel and Andrea (DeLaTorre) Ramirez.
She married
David Fierbaugh on Feb. 14, 1998.
She was a member of Academy Christian Church in Colorado.
She is survived by her husband; her parents; a son, Charles; two brothers, Edward Ramirez and Philip Ramirez; and her sister, Cathy Allgood.
A funeral service will be held in Colorado Springs.

Alicia Hayes
Alicia Pastora Hayes, 55, of Bremerton died Jan. 19, 2001, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 1, 1945, in Manila, Philippines, to Claro and Fausta (Filayo) Cabigting. She was raised and educated in the Philippines.
She worked for Johnson Control for 20 years.
She enjoyed music and poetry.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilou Jones of Bremerton; one sister and six brothers, all of the Philippines.
Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and a funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, both at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will take place at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Glen Languein
Glen A. Languein, 84, of Pocatello, Idaho, died Jan. 22, 2001, at Christie's Adult Family Home in Port Orchard.
He was born
May 10, 1916, in Woodbine, Kan., to George and Mamie (Koellar) Languein.
He was a 1934 graduate of Junction City High School in Kansas.
He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for 37 years, retiring in 1977.
He was Catholic.
Survivors include two sons, Robert of Port Orchard and Michael of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia, in 1997; and a son, Steven, in 1993.
A funeral service will take place in Idaho. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home.
Alphonse Coleman
Alphonse Coleman, 75, of Bremerton died Jan. 18, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Dec. 16, 1925, in Winasboro, La., to Fred and Nettie (King) Coleman.
He served in the Navy as a steward's mate 1st class from 1944 to 1946. He earned the Victory Medal.
He married
Queen Ester Oatis on Nov. 20, 1971, in Bremerton. She preceded him in death in 1991.
Mr. Coleman was a pipefitter for 35 years, retiring in 1989.
He enjoyed stamp collecting and gardening. He attended Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Alphonse of Anchorage and Avery of San Bernardino, Calif.; two daughters, Gracie Wilson of Shreveport, La., and Dorothy Coleman of Springfield, Mass.; a brother, Elmo of San Francisco; two sisters, Dorothy Warfield and Willie Mae Blalock, both of Stockton, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He also was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred and Willie.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
Marie Rodal
Marie Moss Modal, 93, of Bainbridge Island died Jan. 11, 2001, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 14, 1907, in Strathcona, Alberta, Canada, to John and Elizabeth (Picot) Jackman. She attended Queen Anne High School in Seattle.
She married
Robert "Bob" Rodal on July 17, 1972 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He preceded her in death last year.
She was a vaudeville entertainer in the 1920s. She owned Marie Moss Realty in the Wallingford area of Seattle for 25 years, retiring in 1968.
She was a member of Wing Point Country Club in Bainbridge and the North End Broker's Association.
She was Presbyterian.
She was preceded in death by her seven younger brothers and sisters.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Kass Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Streutker
Elizabeth "Betty" Isabel Streutker, 78, of Bremerton died Jan. 17, 2001, at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born June 24, 1922, in Hampton, Iowa, to Clyde and Hazel (Janes) Kellogg. She completed high school in 1941 in Eau Claire, Wis.
She married
James Henry Streutker on Dec. 5, 1942, in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1998.
She enjoyed housekeeping and being a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Norman of Auburn and David of Bremerton; three daughters, Maxine Simmons of Coleville and Linda Jordan and Jamie Streutker, both of Bremerton; a sister, Bonnie Sanders of Bremerton; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Owen Kellogg, a son, James Henry Streutker, and grandson, James Vincent Chandler.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at Forest Lawn cemetery.
