Ronald McFall
Ronald McFall, 56, of Silverdale died of a heart attack Dec. 29, 2000, in Poulsbo.
He was born March 16, 1944, in Oklahoma City to Al and Thelma (Manley) McFall.
He was a 1962 graduate of East Bremerton High School and attended Olympic College. He graduated in 1967 from the University of Washington.
He married
Sherry Hansen on March 18, 1994, in Reno, Nev.
He worked for the Department of Defense at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center at Keyport for 28 years, retiring in 1995. He earned the Meritorious Civilian Service Award and the Superior Civilian Service Award.
He was a member of Sons of Norway and enjoyed golf.
He attended the Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife; his parents of Bremerton; a son, Sean of Bellingham; a daughter, Michele of Bremerton; a brother, Steve of Kingston; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary.
A funeral service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Barbara Griner
Barbara Maude Doreen Griner, 77, of Seabeck died Dec. 28, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 18, 1923, in Burton-on-Trent, England, to Wilfred and Florence (Dainty) Manning. She was educated in England.
She married
Wiley Griner on Sept. 11, 1943, in Burton-on-Trent. He preceded her in death in 1989.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting and bowling.
Survivors include a son, Paul of Seabeck; a daughter, Laura Lykken of Kelseyville, Calif.; a sister, Olive Merrick of Burton-on-Trent; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will take place at Roseberg Memorial Gardens in Roseberg, Ore. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Helen Seal
Helen Jorgensen Seal, 92, of Poulsbo died of heart failure Dec. 26, 2000, at Harbor House at Liberty Shores.
She was born Nov. 21, 1908, in San Diego to Hans and Cora (Smith) Jorgensen. She graduated in 1925 from San Diego High School and in 1929 from the University of California at Berkeley.
She married
Benjamin Seal on July 22, 1938. He preceded her in death in November.
She was a secondary school teacher and homemaker.
She was a member of the American Association of University Women. Ms. Seal enjoyed golf.
Survivors include two sons, William of Silverdale and Benjamin of Moorpark, Calif.; two daughters, Diane Seal of Thousand Oaks, Calif., and Darlene Elliot of The Colony, Texas; two brothers, Frank of Carmichael, Calif., and Homer of Modesto, Calif.; a sister, Elizabeth Hammond of Encinitas, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
No services are scheduled. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Ellie McLean-Kaleel
Frances "Ellie" E. McLean-Kaleel, 69, of Olalla died Dec. 28, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma.
She was born Oct. 5, 1931, in Seattle, to Charles and Eva (West) Atkins. She attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard.
She married
K.C. Kaleel on March 17, 1988, in Reno, Nev.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed volunteer work. She volunteered with Fire District 7 for 31 years. She was named volunteer firefighter of the year in 1985. She also received the P.T.A. Golden Acorn Award.
She enjoyed camping and gardening.
Survivors include her husband; two stepsons, Curt Kaleel of Tacoma and Ken Kaleel of California; three daughters, Louise McLean and Sandy McLean, both of Port Orchard and Tammy (McLean) Tegard of Gig Harbor; two stepdaughters, Colleen Kaleel of Tacoma and Kelly (Kaleel) Hunt of Gig Harbor; a brother, Ralph Atkins of Port Orchard; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life is scheduled for noon Jan. 13, at the Olalla Grange. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Gil Ruiz Sr.
Gil Ruiz Sr., 95, of Belfair died Dec. 25, 2000, at the Veterans Hospital in Seattle.
He was born Sept. 1, 1905, in Anasco, Puerto Rico, to Jose and Olivia (Morales) Ruiz. He was educated in San Tulce, Puerto Rico.
He married
Mariana Fernandez on June 16, 1949, in the Bronx, N.Y.
He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard for 50 years and also the Merchant Marines.
He was a member of the American Legion and the Maritime Union.
He was a member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gil Ruiz Jr., of Bremerton and Wilfred of Renton; three daughters, Nibia and Donna Summers, both of Belfair, and Fora Aquino of Puerto Rico; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral liturgy is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Interment
will take place at Tahoma National cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Fern McLaws
Fern L. McLaws, 78, died of cancer Dec. 29, 2000, at her Bremerton residence.
She was born April 18, 1922, in Grand Island, Neb., to John and Emma (Span) Bobo. She was a 1937 graduate of Walnut High School in Grand Island.
She married
Kenneth McLaws on July 20, 1937, in Emmett, Idaho.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed her sewing club and bingo.
She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Sharon Compton, Shirley Smith and Sharlene Reed, all of Bremerton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment
will take place at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Mickey Sizemore
Mildred I. "Mickey" Sizemore, 66, of Belfair died of natural causes Dec. 27, 2000, in Shelton.
She was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Aberdeen, to Howard and Agnes (McMillen) Crick. She attended school in Quinault.
She married
David Sizemore in 1978 in Elma. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She was a nurses aide for 11 years and enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Survivors include two sons, Robert A. Robinson of Elma and Scott H. Robinson of Belfair; two brothers, Allan Crick of Shelton and Frank Crick of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Dee Barrett of Montesano; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Martin; and a brother, Fred Crick.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Stanley Roach Sr.
Stanley Crawford Roach Sr., 70, formerly of Port Orchard, died of cancer Dec. 20, 2000, at his home in Green Valley, Ariz.
He was born Oct. 21, 1930, in Canton, Ohio, to Paul and Ruth (Crawford) Roach.
He married
Itagia Linda Saigigi (Tupoa) on April 27, 1957, in Oahu, Hawaii.
He served in the Navy 21 years, achieving the rank of master chief fire control technician. He also worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard as an electrician for 13 years, retiring in 1969.
He enjoyed volunteering for Pop Warner Football and little league baseball.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, of Kentucky; six sons, Stanley Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz., Albert of Key Center, Norman of Boise, Idaho, Leland of Bremerton, Tristan of Bonney Lake and Merlin of Tacoma; a daughter, Hazel Pickerton of Sahuarita, Ariz.; a brother, James of Ohio; a sister, Barbara of Kentucky; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held in Green Valley.
Stanley Bushnell
Stanley A. Bushnell, 42, died of cancer Dec. 30, 2000, at his Silverdale home.
He was born Sept. 3, 1958, in Bremerton, to Roger Bushnell and Janice (Deardorff) Anton.
He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1976.
He was the owner of Bushnell Builders for 20 years.
He enjoyed hunting and skiing.
He attended Crossroads Neighborhood Church.
Survivors include his fiancee, Simone Halter of Silverdale; his father, of Edgewater, Fla.; his mother, of Ridgecrest, Calif.; his sons, Jared and Jacob of Kitsap County; and three brothers, Gary, Ed and Tracy, all of Kitsap County.
A memorial service is scheduled for noon Saturday at Crossroads Neighborhood Church. A private graveside service will take place at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Therese Jette
Therese Jette, 73, of Poulsbo died Dec. 28, 2000, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Jan. 30, 1927, in Lingwick, Quebec, Canada, to Lucien and Marguerite (LaCourse) LaPointe. She attended Stone Business College in New Haven, Conn.
She married
Bruno Jette on May 8, 1954, in Sherbrock, Quebec, Canada.
She was a bookkeeper for a law firm in Utica, N.Y., retiring in 1985.
She enjoyed bowling and knitting.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard of Puyallup, a daughter, Karen Adcock of Burlington; and seven grandchildren.
Cremation will take place at Cherry Grove Crematory. Arrangements are under the direction of Poulsbo Mortuary.
