Saturnina Huebsch
Saturnina Sapallo Huebsch, 45, of Bremerton died Dec. 9, 2001, at home.
She was born Dec. 29, 1955, in Anilao, Mabini, Batanga, Philippines, to Ramon and Lionida (Sapallo) Castillo. She was raised and educated in the Philippines.
She married
Thomas J. Huebsch on May 1, 1976, in Maitan, Subic Zambales, Philippines.
She was a resident of Kitsap County for the last 13 years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, of Bremerton; her mother, of the Philippines; three brothers, Robert, Donny and Lando Castillo, all of the Philippines; and three sisters, Tina, Lucy and Marcy, all of the Philippines.
Services and burial will take place in the Philippines. Local arrangements are by Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Dorreis Brannan
Dorreis Lee Brannan, 78, of Bremerton died Dec. 7, 2001, at Bremerton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Seattle, to George O. and Lillian Brannan. She graduated from Holy Names Academy in Seattle and attended the University of Washington.
She married
Roy Brannan in 1955 in San Diego, Calif. He died in 1981.
She worked as a certified public accountant and was an avid reader and seamstress.
She was Roman Catholic.
She was preceded in death by two brothers.
At her request, there will be no services. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Lucina Cassidy
Lucina M. Cassidy, 76, of Port Orchard died Dec. 8, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Sept. 3, 1925, in Central Falls, R.I., to Jerimiah and Mae Holland.
She married
Charles Cassidy on May 14, 1944, in Atlantic City, N.J.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of Port Orchard; two sons, Charles Cassidy Jr. of Kodiak, Alaska, and Michael Cassidy of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Tina Metrokin of Anchorage; a sister, Gertrude Phillips of Bristol, Va.; and six grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Jack Lawrence
John H. "Jack" Lawrence, 47, of Indianola died of cancer Dec. 8, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born May 16, 1954, in Yakima to Charles R. and Anne R. (Berg) Lawrence. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1972.
He served in the Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1992 at the rank of chief petty officer.
He enjoyed baseball, football, and wrestling.
Mr. Lawrence was a member of St. Olaf's Catholic Church in Poulsbo.
Survivors include his fiancee, Marianne Gagne of Indianola; his ward, Frank Woodsum of Indianola; a daughter, Starlynn Gagne of Indianola; three brothers, James R. Lawrence, William J. Lawrence and Donald C. McKinney, all of Suquamish; three sisters, Marjorie R. Lanegan of Carnation, Marilyn G. Jones of Suquamish and Barbara A. Lawrence of Kingston; and one grandchild.
A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Thursday at the Suquamish Tribal Center. His remains will be scattered at sea by the Navy. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, The Stone Chapel.

Minona Emery
Minona F. Emery, 89, of Manchester died of heart failure Dec. 10, 2001, at home.
She was born Jan. 17, 1912, in Spokane to Roy and Elizabeth (Ehlebracht) Fitts. She graduated from Sunnyside High School in Sunnyside and attended business school in New York.
She married
Edward E. Emery in 1936 in Spokane. He died in 1998.
She was a homemaker and secretary.
She enjoyed bridge and was active in altar societies. She was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.
Survivors include three sons, Dr. E. David Emery of Northfield, Minn., Richard Emery of Priest River, Idaho, and Gary Emery of Davis, Calif.; two daughters, Cheryl McCulloch of Manchester and Mary Emery Robb of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a brother, the Rev. Robert Fitts of Spokane; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Rush Emery; three brothers, Holden, Harvey and James; and two sisters, Alice and Elizabeth.
A memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Dec. 27, 2001, at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Ephrata. Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Vae Finney
Vae W. Finney, 79, of Bremerton died Dec. 6, 2001.
She was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Bloomfield, Neb., to Glen and Amelia (Schrader) Kreger.
She was a secretary for Bremers Inc. for 24 years. She enjoyed life to the fullest.
Survivors include two sons, Steven of Seabeck and Bill of Bremerton; and a daughter, Susan (Phoenix) Finney.
At her request, no service is planned. Arrangements are by Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.
James Cornwell
James L. Cornwell, 73, of Port Orchard died Dec. 5, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Terre Haute, Ind., to Alan and Anna (Dickerson) Cornwell. He attended Roosevelt High School in East Chicago, Ind.
He married
Priscilla J. Anderson on Jan. 19, 1951, in Hammond, Ind.
He was a retired first sergeant in the Marine Corps. He also was a deputy sheriff in Eugene, Ore., and a dispatcher for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
He enjoyed camping and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Catherine Traywick of Kent and Candice Turrentine of Seattle; three brothers, John of Houston, Texas, and Paul and Charles, both of Lansing, Ind.; a sister, Edna Vance of Lansing; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Echterling; and a brother, Donald.
A private service is planned. Inurnment will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Charles McInnes
Charles Irving McInnes, 56, of Bremerton died of a heart attack Dec. 3, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Nov. 5, 1945, in Bremerton to Herschal M. and Eleanor (Carson) McInnes. He was a 1964 graduate of Bremerton's East High School. He later graduated in 1991 and 1994 from Western Washington University in Bellingham.
Mr. McInnes was a behavioral counselor for six years.
He was a 33-year member of Eagles 192 in Bremerton and enjoyed working with computers. He was baptized in 1956 in the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include two brothers, Colin of Bremerton and Eugene of Tacoma. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eagles 192, 205 Sixth St. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Robert Forbes
Robert Briedwell Forbes, 77, of Kingston died of cancer Dec. 1, 2001, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born March 14, 1924, in Aberdeen to Robert W. and Hope (Briedwell) Forbes. He attended high school in Port Townsend and in Aberdeen, graduating in 1941.
Mr. Forbes was a parachute infantryman in the Army from 1943 to 1946, achieving the rank of first lieutenant. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Silver Star.
He married
Norma Smart on Aug. 22, 1953, in Washington, D.C.
In the 1950s, he received both a bachelor of science degree and a doctorate from the University of Washington.
He was a geologist for many years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of several scientific organizations.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rob of Boulder, Colo., and John of Bainbridge Island; a brother, Norman of Fife; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel at Fort Worden in Port Townsend.
Jay Graham
Longtime Bremerton resident Jay Graham, 87, died Dec. 7, 2001, at home.
He was born May 22, 1914, in Spokane to Lloyd M. and Louise (Jewett) Graham. He attended Queen Anne High School in Seattle and graduated in 1932 from Wenatchee High School.
He married
Audrey Way on Nov. 6, 1938, in Ellensburg.
Mr. Graham worked on the Grand Coulee Dam from 1935 to 1939; was a master machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard from 1940 to 1950; worked at General Electric Co. at Hanford from 1950 to 1967; and at PSNS from 1967 until his retiring in 1975.
He was a member of the Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society and was a life-long Mason. He enjoyed stream and lake fishing, hiking in the Olympics, exploring the Pacific Northwest and lapidary work.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Graham McDade of Bremerton and Madeleine O'Donnell and her husband, Dan, of LaConner; four grandchildren, Garth McDade of Bremerton, Alex Free of Mount Vernon, Jane Chambers of Missoula, Mont., and Helen Free of Seattle; and his close friend, Vicky Trower of Bremerton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Audrey, in March 2000; and by a grandson, Graham E. McDade Jr., in 1972.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society.
Mary Kathleen Hart
Mary Kathleen Hart, 82, of Port Orchard died of natural causes Dec. 6, 2001, in Bremerton.
She was born March 21, 1919, in Wheeling, W.Va., to William and Adelia (Craig) Burkle. She graduated from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Mass.
She married
Ira Winfield Hart in 1943 in North Carolina. He preceded her in death in 1995.
Mrs. Hart served in the Army Nurse Corps from 1944 to 1945, achieving the rank of first lieutenant. She was awarded a Bronze Star for service in England and France and three Bronze Stars for service in the Rhineland, Central Europe and the Battle of Ardennes.
She enjoyed dancing and walking her dog. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include a son, Jerry of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Rosemary Hart of Portland, Ore.; and one grandchild. She also was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Interment
will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
