Mrs.Nema Pearl Haymaker, Age:86, resident of Port Orchard, Washington died on February 26, 2002 after a long illness.
Nema was born on September 8, 1915 in Bolivar, Missouri to Walter and Cordia(Smith) Wells. She attended elementary school in Bolivar, and then the family moved in 1939 to Belfair, Washington.
Nema married
Francis Haymaker on July 20, 1940. She was a Homemaker all of her adult life.
Nema enjoyed sewing, cooking, baking and camping. She will be greatly missed.
Nema is survived by her husband, Francis, of the family home; sons, Richard of Lakewood, Washington, Eddie of Whidbey Island, Washington; daughters, Sue Jackson and Lonnie Foote of Yellville, Arkansas; brother, Richard Wells of Shelton, Washington; sister, Jolene Bevis of Shelton; eleven grandchildren fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Jensen, one grandchild, Collena Carr(2000)and one brother, Bud Wells.
A graveside service will be held at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair, on Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at 1:00 p.m..
Arrangements are under direction of Rill Chapel, Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home in Port Orchard.

Mr. Keith Douglas "K.C." Hale died on March 5, 2002 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 38 years old.
K.C. was born on July 26, 1963 in Thermopolis, Wyoming to Thomas and Glenda(McKenner)Hale. On November 18, 1989 K.C. married
Maria C.Lafazia in Bremerton.
K.C. spent over twenty years working as a Carpenter. He loved playing guitar, and writing poetry. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Sinclair View Ward.
K.C. is survived by his wife, Maria, of the family home; daughters, Amy and Sheena Avila, and Kayleigh Hale of Port Orchard; sons, Bo and Casey Hale of Port Orchard; parents, Thomas and Glenda Hale of Basin, Wyoming; brothers, Tom Hale of Three Forks, Montana, and William Hale of Port Orchard; and sister, Shandra Hale of Red Lodge, Montana. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Avila, and brother, Jeff Hale.
Visitation for K.C. is scheduled for Friday, March 8, 2002 from 3-5 p.m., at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2002 at 1:00 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Belfair, Washington. Interment
will follow at Twin Firs cemetery in Belfair.

John Peter Herberholz

Mr. John Peter Herberholz, Age:85, died at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington on March 1, 2002.
John was born on July 17, 1916 to Bernerd and Marie(Kronberger)Herberholz in Lefor, North Dakota.
In 1940, John joined the United States Army. He served during World War II, and was one of the many Americans to have fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He achieved the rank of Sergeant. John was decorated with the Bronze Star, American Defense Medal, five Service Medals, and the European Africa Defense Service Medal. He was honorably discharged in 1945 after serving his country with great pride.
On November 22, 1947 John married
Mary Casick in Spokane, Washington.
He spent thirty plus years as an Iron Worker, a member of the Iron Workers Union, retiring in 1983.
John enjoyed playing pinochle and pool with his children and grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife, Mary, of the family home; son, John Herberholz and wife, Lynn, of University Place, Washington; daughters Roxanne and husband, Walt Prue, of Hawthorne, California, and Marleen and husband, Richard Parker, of Seabeck, Washington; grandson, Kyle and granddaughter, Kiam Parker; Derick and Travis Herberholz, Matthew Prue; granddaughter, Monique Prue; sisters, Margaret Burger, Helen McLaughlin, Catherine Bradley, Caroline Lassorella, and Marie Corker, all of Spokane; sister, Betty Roberts of Kelso, Washington.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Visitation is scheduled on Thursday, March 7, 2002, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., at Rill Chapel. On Friday, March 8, 2002, at 9:00 a.m., there will be a Catholic blessing by Father Jerry McCloskey at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. A service and burial will follow, at 11:30 a.m., at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent, Washington.

He was married
to Linda (Baldwin) August 1, 1981 in Belfair, WA.
Kenneth graduated from Bellingham High School in 1954 and attended the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. for 2 years.
He served in the U.S. Army in Germany.
He was General Manager for General Electric in Seattle, WA. for 10 years and was Planner Estimator at Puget Sound Naval Station in Bremerton, WA. for 20 years. Kenneth retired in 1993.
Kenneth enjoyed carpentry, outdoor activities and was a member of Belfair Assembly of God.
He was survived by his wife Linda Solene of Belfair, WA., sons: Eric Solene of Fall City, WA., Carl Solene of Whidbey Island, WA., Shane Solene of Belfair, WA., Stephen Solene of Portland, OR., daughters: Brandalynn Reidt of Port Orchard, WA., Kendralynn Solene of the family home, and 5 grandchildren.
Services will be held Thursday, May 23, 2002 7:00 p.m. at the Belfair Assembly of God.

"Elizabeth Spicer, loving wife, mother, big sister, and friend was born May 19, 1914, in Russellville, AR, and went to our Lord on May 16, 2002, in Port Orchard, WA. Elizabeth was married
to Herbert D. "Buddy" Spicer in 1950, moved from Port Arthur, TX, to Bridge City, TX, in 1954, and lived there forty-two years until three years after Buddy's death in August 1993. She was the first child of Minor and Alma Lyttle, had six siblings, and remains in the hearts of four of them, Robert Lyttle, James Lyttle, Louis Lyttle, and Ann Dopson. Her brothers Charles and Bill preceded her to heaven. For the last six years, Elizabeth has lived in Washington State near her son, Richard Spicer and his family, wife Margie, son Josh, daughter Haley, and Richard's mother in law and Elizabeth's care giver, Liz Dunn. Elizabeth taught junior high english for a number of years in Bridge City and at Woodrow Wilson Jr. High in Port Arthur. She was loved by family, friends, neightbors and her students. She will be greatly missed. We love you."

Laurie Alexis Storey, 52, of Gig Harbor, WA, died May 16, 2002, at home in Gig Harbor.
Laurie was born May 11, 1950, in Enumclaw, WA, to August and Donna (MacKay) Opitz. She graduated from Cleveland High School in Portland, OR, in 1968.
Laurie worked in retail sales and as a credit support staff person. She enoyed camping and outdoor activities with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her companion Jim Wilbur, of Gig Harbor, WA; father August Opitz, of Woodburn, OR; sons Michael Anthony Willis, of Seattle, WA, and Jason Willis, of Puyallup, WA; brother Marvin Opitz, of Woodburn, OR; sisters Lee Bick, of Gig Harbor, WA, Diane Lung, of Battle Ground, WA, Paula Koenig, of Canby, OR, and her twin Patricia Hollander, of Seabeck, WA; grandchildren Mark Bolster, Amber Benedict, Shalyn Benedict, Tamara Willis, and Erin Willis, all of Puyallup, WA. Laurie was preceded in death by a sister Linda Gaven in June of 1995.

Henry Edward Rodstol, 86, of Port Orchard, WA, died May 20, 2002 at the Evergreen Nursing Rehab Center in Olympia, WA.
He was born August 11, 1915 in Harper, WA, to Ole Olsen and Pernille Sophia (Sather) Rodstol.
Henry graduated from Vashon High School on Vashon Island, WA, in 1934.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in the European Theater during WWII. Henry met Freda Leighton while stationed in England. They married
October 14, 1944 in Norwich, England.
Henry worked as a rigger at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, WA, for 34 years, retiring in 1974.
Henry enjoyed traveling, gardening and was a member of Harper Evangelical Free Church.
Survivors include son James Rodstol and wife Sandi, of Connell, WA; daughters Perki Sweet and husband Peter, of Olympia, WA, and Charlotte Mullen, and husband David, of New Castle, WA; brothers Laurence Rodstol, of Seattle, WA, Leonard Rodstol, of Harper, WA, and Harry Rodstol, of Wenatchee, WA; and 6 grandchildren. Henry was preceded in death by his wife Freda in 1995, brothers Olaf and Oswald Rodstol, and a sister Margaret Westlund.

Wilma V. Coull of Port Orchard, WA died Sunday May 12, 2002. She was 94 years old.
Wilma was born on February 3, 1908 in Selby, South Dakota. She grew up, graduated from high school, met and married
Henry Coull (1926), and had the first of three daughters in Selby. Mrs. Coull and family moved to Baldwin Park, CA. in 1929. She was an active member of the Baldwin Park United Methodist Church. She enjoyed sewing, watching baseball, and being with family.
Her husband and daughters, Laura and Beverly, preceded Wilma in death.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Anise (Coull) Davis of Gig Harbor, WA, son-in-law Glen McCarty of Covina, CA, grandchildren: Scott Davis of Gig Harbor, WA, Ron Davis of Ignacio, CO, Linda (McCarty) Parkinson of Apple Valley, CA, Mike McCarty of Baldwin Park, CA and, Connie (McCarty) Denholm of Silverdale, WA, as well as by her 9 great-grandchildren and her extended family.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 31st in the Rainbow Chapel at Rose Hills in Whittier, CA.

Dorothy Mae McMillen died May 11, 2002 at Belmont Terrace, Bremerton, WA. She was born November 4, 1931 in Santa Ana, CA. to Earl and Eileen (Little) Dyer.
She attended high school in Santa Ana, Ca. She married
John McMillen August 3, 1949.
Dorothy was a homemaker, sales clerk in retail stores in California, a nurses aid at Fircrest School in Seattle, and worked in silk screening in California. She enjoyed crafts, country style painting on wood, attending flea markets, collecting antique glassware, going on outings with the Joy Group from church and was a member of Navy Yard City Bible Church.
Dorothy is survived by her husband John McMillen, 2 daughters: Jean Wall of Bremerton, WA. and Johnnie Duhon of Forest Grove, Oregon, 1 brother, Robert Dyer of Buena Park, CA., 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at Navy Yard City Bible Church on Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 2:00 p.m. Interment
will be held at Tahoma National cemetery on Friday, May 17, 2002, at 2:00 p.m.
