Johnny Long
Johnny William Long, 37, of Bremerton died March 1, 2002, in rural Mason County.
He was born July 23, 1964, in Port Angeles to James William and Lenore Jean (Goin) Long. He had attended Bremerton High School.
Mr. Long's most recent employment had been as a carpenter supervisor with Knight Construction Co. in Poulsbo.
He had a great interest in mechanics and recently rebuilt a 1966 Ford pickup truck.
Survivors include his mother, of Bremerton; five brothers, Jimmy Long and Lynn McDonald, both of Bremerton, Lee McDonald of Seattle, Lane McDonald of Sequim and Lon McDonald of Vancouver, Wash.; and six sisters, Jeanny Spaulding of Union, Charla Walls of Poulsbo, Marla McDonald of Bremerton, Connie Finley of Tacoma, Debbie Dillon and Valorie Tramm.
Visitation will from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A celebration of life memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Ozzie Osborne
Garvice "Ozzie" Osborne, 74, of Bremerton died March 5, 2002, at Naval Hospital Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Margie, Minn., to Clyde L. and Myrtle (Cook) Osborne.
He married
Inge Pedersen on March 17, 1959, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Mr. Osborne served in the Navy from 1949 to 1975, retiring as a senior chief storekeeper. He was awarded the Republic of Vietnam National Defense Medal.
Following his military career, he was a storekeeper with Vitro Corp. from 1975 to 1985.
Mr. Osborne enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Catholic church.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Michelle Hunt of Seattle; two sisters, Mary Crawley of Wisconsin and Karen Clements of Bremerton; and one grandson, Clay Hunt. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Osborne in 1992, also on March 5.
A celebration of life memorial service will be at 10 a.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Rose Breckel
Rose Breckel, 86, of Bremerton died March 5, 2002, at Port Orchard Care Center.
She was born Dec. 3, 1915, in New York City to John and Catherine Greene. She attended schools in New York City.
She married
Jonathan "Dutch" Breckel on March 9, 1946, in Woodside, Long Island, N.Y. He died in 1996.
Mrs. Breckel was a clerk for J.C. Penney in Bremerton for many years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Sons of Norway and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, both in Bremerton. A favorite pastime was playing bingo.
Survivors include one son, Dan of Bremerton; one daughter, Maureen Phelps of Port Orchard; one sister, Agnes Olivero of Florida; and four grandchildren, Jenelle Shanley of Lynnwood, Melynda Phelps of Port Orchard and Justin and Jennifer Breckel, both of Bremerton.
Visitation will be from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment
will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Mildred Demko
Mildred V. Demko, 95, of Port Orchard died March 4, 2002, in Port Orchard.
She was born July 3, 1906, in Minneapolis to Peter G. and Olive (Larson) Anderson.
She married
Frank J. Demko. He died in 1969.
Mrs. Demko was a retired teacher. She worked in the Tacoma School District.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Tacoma.
Survivors include one son, Ralph and his wife, Sharon, of Lodi, Calif.; one daughter, Fran Olin and her husband, Fred, of Port Orchard; and one grandson, Eric Gustafson of Bremerton.
A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Interment
will take place at Calvary cemetery in Tacoma under the direction of Gaffney Cassedy Allen & Buckley King.

Lois Hallmark
Eloise "Lois" Hallmark, 70, of Silverdale died of cancer March 3, 2002, at her home.
She was born Oct. 20, 1931, in Leechburg, Pa., to Frank and Leota Cline.
She married
Robert L. Hallmark on June 8, 1953. He died in 1996.
Mrs. Hallmark was a homemaker. She enjoyed baking and crafts of all kinds.
Survivors include five sons, Jimmy of Seabeck, Robert of Port Angeles, Randy and Gary, both of Silverdale, and Keith of Belfair; three daughters, Carol of Alliance, Ohio, and Candy and Lisa, both of Seabeck; three sisters, Phyllis Russell of Kent, Donna Fuhlrodt of Blair, Neb., and Margaret Harris of Richmond, Va.; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday at West Side Baptist Church, 5501 W. Werner Road in Bremerton.
Amy Sullivan
Amy Lou Sullivan, 34, of Kingston died Feb. 28, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born May 2, 1967, in Bremerton to Conrad and Barbara Sullivan. She attended North Kitsap High School.
Survivors include her fiance, Doug Anderson of Jefferson Beach near Kingston; her father and stepmother, Conrad and Kathy Sullivan of Little Boston; two sons, Ryan of Little Boston and Tanner C. of Indianola; one daughter, Kelsey M. Allen of Little Boston; three brothers, Michael Sullivan and Wayne Pape, both of Little Boston, and Donald Sullivan of Steilacoom; three sisters, Marie Hebert and Stormy Sullivan, both of Little Boston, and Tracy Sullivan of Suquamish; two stepsisters, Belinda and Abby Curser; and one stepbrother, Michael Curser. She was preceded in death by her mother.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at S'Klallam Community Church, 32274 Little Boston Road NE in Little Boston.
Dixie Phillips
Dixie Joy Phillips, 65, of Suquamish died March 1, 2002, of myocardial infarction at Harrison Hospital.
She was born June 24, 1936, in Numa, Iowa, to Floyd and Ione (Haines) Sheeks. She attended Lincoln High School in Des Moines, Iowa.
She married
Ronald E. Phillips on March 16, 1954, in Des Moines. Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker.
She was an accomplished bowler, having achieved high scores in a number of Kitsap County tournaments. She also enjoyed collecting bells and Beanie Babies.
Survivors include her husband; one son, Denny R. and his wife, Nancy, of Poulsbo; three brothers, Jerry Sheeks and his wife, Linda, of Ankey, Iowa, Robert Sheeks and his wife, Jenny, of Flint, Mich., and Fred Sheeks and his wife, Betty, of Camp Dodge, Iowa; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gitta Ellen Bushbaum; and two brothers, Morris and Edwin Sheeks.
Visitation will be from 9 until the 10 a.m. funeral service today at The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo. Burial will be at Kane cemetery on Bainbridge Island.

Marjorie Cramer
Marjorie Cheadle Cramer, 86, of Poulsbo died of a stroke Feb. 28, 2002, in Bremerton.
She was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Seattle to Keenan and Katherine (Cairns) Cheadle. She graduated from West Seattle High School in 1933.
She married
Fredrick A. Cramer on March 28, 1941, in Seattle. The couple moved to Poulsbo in 1972 and later became "snowbirds" between Poulsbo and Escondido, Calif., after Mr. Cramer's retirement in 1977. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Mrs. Cramer was a homemaker and artist. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She was a member of Crossroads Neighborhood Church in Bremerton and had been a member of North Kitsap Baptist Church in Poulsbo.
Survivors include two sons, David of Bremerton and Richard "Chuck" of Sammamish; three brothers, Donald of Oak Harbor, and Gordon and Ken, both of Seattle; three grandchildren, Brenton, Joelle and Robert; and family friends Marie and Mike Meaney of Bellevue. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Montgomery, age 31, in 1974.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Crossroads Neighborhood Church, 7555 Old Military Road NE in Bremerton.

Doug McDonald
Former Silverdale resident Doug Michael McDonald, 56, of Hoquiam died March 2, 2002, at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Olympia.
He was born Aug. 31, 1945, in Spokane, the son of Dr. Carl and Marie Alleger. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1963.
Mr. McDonald served in the Army from 1965 to 1967. He later was an auto and marine mechanic for more than 30 years.
He enjoyed boating, fishing and watching NASCAR auto racing.
Survivors include his close friend, Donna Nelson of Hoquiam; his mother, of Cashmere; four brothers, Craig Herndon Alleger of Leavenworth, Mark Herndon Alleger of Brasstown, N.C., and Brian and Scott Alleger, both of Bellevue; three sisters, Carlynn Alleger Schon of Spokane, and Jeri Taylor and Cheri Sidhu, both of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Assembly of God, 6750 Highway 303 in Bremerton.

Kristelle Maree Ziese
Kristelle Maree Ziese, the infant daughter of John Ziese and Tarri McCarroll of Poulsbo, died Feb. 27, 2002, in Tacoma.
She was born Feb. 15, 2002, in Silverdale.
Her survivors include her parents; her maternal grandparents, Dave and Myrna McCarroll of Poulsbo; her paternal grandparents, Don and Vinnie Ziese of Kelso, and Tina Bond of Vader; her maternal great-grandmother, Inga McCarroll; and her paternal great-grandmother, Joanne Ellis of Vader. Her twin sister, Khryssa Lee Ziese, also died Feb. 27.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Jackson Park Chapel in Bremerton. Interment
will be at Forest Lawn cemetery under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Khryssa Lee Ziese

John Herberholz
John Peter Herberholz, 85, of Port Orchard died March 1, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 17, 1916, in LeFor, N.D., to Bernerd and Marie (Kronberger) Herberholz. He attended high school in LeFor.
He married
Mary Casick on Nov. 22, 1947, in Spokane.
Mr. Herberholz served in the Army from 1940-45, achieving the rank of sergeant and participating in the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the American Defense Service Medal (five awards) and the European Africa Defense Service Medal.
He was later employed as an iron worker for more than 30 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Iron Workers' Union.
Mr. Herberholz enjoyed pinochle and playing pool with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Roman Catholic church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, John Herberholz of University Place; two daughters, Roxanne Prue of Hawthorne, Calif., and Marleen Parker of Seabeck; six sisters, Margaret Berger, Helen McLaughlin, Catherine Bradley, Caroline Lassorella and Marie Corker, all of Spokane, and Betty Roberts of Kelso; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Visitation is scheduled for noon to 5 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
