Frederick Baker
Frederick Allen Baker Jr., 68, of Silverdale died from complications of diabetes April 22, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born March 9, 1934, in New London, Conn., to Fred and Katherine (Dobroski) Baker. He graduated from Bulkeley High School in New London in 1952.
He married Cynthia I. Zuliani on March 4, 1954, in Groton, Conn.
Mr. Baker served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1958, achieving the rank of staff sergeant. He later worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years, retiring in 1993 as a reactor plant general foreman.
He was a member of the Bremerton Eagles. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed bowling.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Katherine (Dobroski) Mooney of Waterford, Conn.; a son, Frederick A. III and his wife, Suzie, of Bremerton; two daughters, Cynthia Allman and her husband, Ron, of Silverdale and Charlotte Baker and her companion, Fred Young, of Bremerton; a sister, Carol Jean Menghi and her husband, Al, of Waterford; three grandchil-dren, Frederick "Andy" and Tony Baker, and Kendal Jean Allman; and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-ceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Olympic Peninsula Kidney Center, 2740 Clare Ave., Bremerton, WA 98310.

Andy Zanonie
Andrew "Andy" Zanonie, 95, of Bremerton died April 16, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born July 15, 1906, in Seattle to Batista and Lucia (Passinetti) Zanonie.
He married Ida Lindstrom in Bremerton in 1928. She preceded him in death in 1994.
Mr. Zanonie was retired from a career as a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
He was a member of the Roman Catholic faith. He was an avid fisherman, known for his smoked fish.
Survivors include a son, Chris f Bremerton; a daughter, Gloria Olsen of Seattle; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchil-dren. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Norma; a sister, Rose Scott; and a brother, John.
Services are pending. Burial will be at Forest Lawn cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Helen Reeder Clague
Helen Reeder Clague, 92, of Port Ludlow died April 21, 2002, at Kah Tai Care Center in Port Townsend.
She had lived with her daughter in Port Ludlow for the past year. Previously, she had been a resident of Port Hadlock for 25 years.
She was born Aug. 23, 1909, in Yaquina Bay, Ore., to Oregon pioneers Jess McCoy and Ora Belle (Hamar) Reeder. She graduated from Newport High School in Newport, Ore., in 1927.
She married Leonard McGuire in 1928. They divorced in 1931.
She married Oscar Dragland in 1934. He preceded her in death in 1936.
She married Douglas Clague in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1959.
Mrs. Clague was known for her crochet handwork and her gardens.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Pat and Nancy McGuire of Gig Harbor; a daughter and son-in-law, Orene and Edwin Udd of Port Ludlow; a sister, Jean Robards of Bremerton; four grandchil-dren; and six great-grand-children. She also was preceded in death by a sister, Inez Moore.
A private memorial for Mrs. Clague's family is planned for May 12.
Cremation is under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

George Lambert
George Julien Lambert, 83, of Durham, N.H., died April 14, 2002, at the home of his niece, Denise Craswell, in Poulsbo, where he had resided for six months.
He was born Sept. 28, 1918, in Manchester, N.H., to Phillipe and Adele (Anctil) Lambert. He was a graduate of West High School in Manchester, the University of New Hampshire-Durham and Keene State College in Keene, N.H.
Mr. Lambert served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was later a teacher in Hartford, Conn., schools from 1967 until his retirement in 1988.
He enjoyed tennis and travel.
Survivors include two sons, Steven of Los Angeles and Michael of Hollywood, Calif.; a brother, Henry Lambert of Bedford, N.H.; two sisters, Mrs. Cecile (Lambert) Munford of Bedford and Germaine (Lambert) Bauer of Port Orchard.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Cremator-ium Chapel, 243 Hanover St. in Manchester.
Burial will be in Mount Calvary cemetery in Manchester.

Beverly Jean Stape
Beverly Jean Stape, 64, of Bremerton died April 21, 2002, in Burien. She had lived in Bremerton for the past 20 years.
She was born Aug. 16, 1937, in Watertown, S.D.
She is survived by two daughters, Patrice Fisher and her husband, Steve, of Seattle and Lonnie Hyatt of Central Point, Ore.; a brother, Robert Behrens of Sioux City, Iowa; and numerous relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Yarington's Funeral Home, 10708 16th Ave. SW in Seattle.
A graveside service follows at Riverton cemetery in Seattle.

Owen Morgan
Robert Owen Morgan, 85, of Port Orchard died April 20, 2002, following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 20, 1917, in Cambridge, Idaho, to John and Ina (York) Morgan. He was graduated from Cambridge High School in 1935.
On Nov. 19, 1938, he married Edna Lipe in Weiser, Idaho.
Mr. Morgan was a parts specialist at Westbay Auto Parts for more than 20 years, retiring in 1982.
He enjoyed camping and auto mechanics and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Orchard.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Robert O. Morgan Jr. of Lakewood; two daughters, Joyce Sutton of Weiser, Idaho, and Elaine Myers of Port Orchard; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one granddaughter.
A funeral service was held Monday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

George Holt
George Harold Holt, 81, of Bremerton died April 18, 2002, of lung cancer at Harrison Hospital. He had been a Tracyton resident for 50 years.
He was born March 28, 1921, in Albion, Ill., to William and Zola (Peters) Holt. He graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, Ill., in 1938.
He married Rose Franklin on Sept. 25, 1943. She died in 2001.
Mr. Holt served in the Army from 1943 to 1944. He was a private first class in counter intelligence.
He later worked as an electrician at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 37 years. He retired from Shop 51 in 1979 as group super-intendent.
Mr. Holt was a lifetime member of the Elks, had served as fire commissioner of the Tracyton Fire Department and was a past scout master with the Boy Scouts. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
Survivors include a son, Brian Franklin Holt of Silverdale; two daughters, Vickie Carol (Holt) Barton of Brownsville and Marcia Lynne Holt of Fairbanks, Alaska; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Brown, in 1998.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. May 4 at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church, 9300 Nels Nelson Road NW in East Bremerton near Silverdale. Inurnment will be at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

William Davis
William A. Davis, 86, of Port Orchard died April 19, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Nov. 2, 1915, in Ava, Mo., to Homer R. and Della (Johnson) Davis.
He married Fay E. Gentry on June 14, 1941, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Mr. Davis was employed as a sheetmetal worker at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 30 years, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of the Church of Christ in Port Orchard. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, baseball and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Denny R. Davis of Port Orchard; a daughter, Betty Lou (Davis) Sauget of Kent; two brothers, John T. Davis of Hammet, Idaho, and Lloyd Davis of Twin Falls; four grandchildren, Tom Sauget, Tammy Waterman and Jodi and Dave Davis; four great-grandchildren, Veronica and Hannah Sauget and Aaron and Abigail Waterman. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Lotus (Davis) Hartley and Lillian (Davis) Peters.
Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday also at Rill Chapel. Interment icon will be at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Clarence Gascoyne
Clarence Gascoyne, 90, of Seabeck died April 18, 2002, at Northwoods Lodge in Silverdale.
He was born Feb. 13, 1912, in Buffalo, N.Y.
He married Gertrude Gascoyne in February 1936 in Buffalo. She preceded him in death in 1993.
Mr. Gascoyne had been employed with the Merchant Marine. He later worked as a building contractor and service station owner, retiring in 1975.
He enjoyed fishing and travel.
He is survived by a son, Ronald Gascoyne of Seabeck; four grandchildren, Ronald Gascoyne Jr. of Port Orchard, Jeff Gascoyne of Eagle, Wis., and Craig and Steve Gascoyne, both of Silverdale; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Gascoyne.
Services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Lillian Juhola
Lillian Juhola, 86, of Port Orchard died April 19, 2002, in Bremerton.
She was born June 16, 1915, in Napolean, N.D., to Henry and Maria (Julin) Adamson.
She married Eero E. Juhola on June 8, 1941, in Alderwood Manor (now Lynnwood).
Mr. and Mrs. Juhola formerly owned and operated Belfair Dry Cleaners.
She is survived by her husband.
No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Paul Schroeder Jr.
Paul William Schroeder Jr., 78, of Quilcene died April 13, 2002, at the veteran's hospital in Seattle.
He was born July 25, 1923, in Mitchell, Neb. He graduated from Mitchell High School.
Mr. Schroeder served in the Navy during World War II. He later worked as a photographer from 1954 to 1984.
He enjoyed RVing and had traveled throughout the United States.
He is survived by a son, Stephen P. Schroeder of Quilcene.
No services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of the Neptune Society in Everett.
Memorial donations may be made to Special Olympics.
