Will Willcoxon
P.B. "Will" Willcoxon, 84, of Bremerton died June 24, 2002, of heart problems at his home.
He was born June 10, 1918, in Fairbury, Neb., to George and Opal (Harroun) Willcoxon. He graduated from Fairbury High School and from Spokane Community College in 1965.
He married
Donna Powell on Aug. 9, 1941, in Claremore, Okla.
A World War II veteran, Mr. Willcoxon served in the Army Air Corps and Air Force from 1941 to 1962, retiring as a chief master sergeant. He was one of the first selected for this rank.
Following his military career, he entered civil service at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where he worked in engineering design until his retirement in 1975. His military and civil service totaled more than 30 years.
Mr. Willcoxon had been a member of the Elks for 59 years. He and his wife were avid Mariners fans. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and reading.
Survivors include his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Cindy Willcoxon of Bremerton; a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Les Bulyar of Bremerton; three brothers, Russell Willcoxon of Wis-consin and Reuben and Charlie Willcoxon, both of Arizona; a sister, Viola Rocky of Nebraska; and six grandchildren, Shawna, Stefanie and Gary Willcoxon, and Jeff, Josie and Jeremey "Jer" Bulyar, all of Bremer-ton. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Bergvig and Gladys Fowler.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee of Bremerton.

Fleet Hamby
Pearl Harbor survivor Fleet Hamby, 82, of Port Orchard died June 17, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born May 20, 1920, in Burns-ville, N.C., to Zachariah Spencer and Anne Elizabeth (Gibbs) Hamby. He graduated from Burnsville High School in 1939.
Mr. Hamby served in the Navy from 1940 to 1961, achieving the rank of senior chief gunner's mate. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Navy Occupation Medal, the American Defense Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the National Defense Medal, the China Service Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal.
He later worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 14 years, retiring as a planner-estimator in 1975.
Mr. Hamby was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association. He also was a Mason.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Hamby of Clallam Bay; a daughter, Nadine Hamby of Seattle; a sister, Edith Boone of Burnsville; and one granddaughter, Lyndzie Hamby. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Hamby, and a sister, Connie Morgan.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Robert Hudnall
Robert Morris Hudnall, 66, of Bremerton died June 23, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born April 3, 1936, in Tyler, Texas, to Robert Matthew and Doris (Gibson) Hudnall. He graduated from Visalia High School in Visalia, Calif., in 1954 and received a bachelor's degree in liberal arts from the University of California-Berkeley in 1958.
He married
Diane Tallmon on April 11, 1959, in Palo Alto, Calif.
Mr. Hudnall served in the Navy from 1958 until his retirement in 1978 as a lieutenant commander.
He was a member of the Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. He enjoyed reading and painting with pastels.
Survivors include his wife; his mother, Doris (Gibson) Ruroede of Tucson, Ariz.; three daughters, Rowann E. Tallmon and her husband, Richard W. Osborne, of Friday Harbor, Julia B. Hudnall and her husband, S. Mark Kidwell, of Davis, Calif., and Valerie L. Hudnall of Bremerton; a sister, Lu Mastin and her husband, Frank, of Tucson; and a granddaughter, Madilyn H. Kidwell of Davis, Calif.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Kitsap Unitarian Univer-salist Fellowship, 4418 Perry Ave. NE in East Bremerton. Cremation is under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

John DeLoach
John Samuel DeLoach, 71, of Bremerton died une 19, 2002, of septic shock at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1931, in Yancey, Ky., to John S. and Minnie DeLoach.
Mr. DeLoach attended Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald D. Flemister of Bremerton and Dallas DeLoach of Georgia; a daughter, Lettie M. Smith of Bremerton; and five grandchildren, Dayshon, Luke, Alisa, Samuel and Moneya.
A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Apostolic Church in Bremerton. Memorial donations may be made to Emmanuel Apostolic Church, 1023 Sixth St., Bremerton, WA 98337.
Mervyn Anderson
Mervyn B. Anderson, 59, of Olalla died June 20, 2002, in Seattle.
He was born June 20, 1943, in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, to the Rev. Magnus and Evelyn (Hegge) Anderson. He graduated from Modesto High School in Modesto, Calif., in 1961.
He later attended Modesto Junior College, Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, Calif., and Palomar College in Southern California.
He met Patricia "Trish" Carson when they were counselors at Mount Cross Bible Camp in Felton, Calif. The couple married
on Aug. 9, 1964, in Santa Clara, Calif.
Raised in the Lutheran church, Mr. Anderson became an independent minister and evangelist, serving churches in the Tri-Cities, Ann Arbor, Mich., and Hamar, Norway. He and his wife had studied together at the Lutheran Bible Institute in Seattle.
He enjoyed the mountains, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, sailing, photography and painting.
Survivors include his wife; his parents, now of Turlock, Calif.; two sons, Peter Anderson of Tucson, Ariz., and Nathan Anderson of Cataloo, Idaho, and
Port Orchard; a daughter, Andrea Kamacho of Mountlake Terrace; a brother, Wayne Anderson of
Navato, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Ashley, Faith and Noah. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kay Cassellius.
A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Family Church of God in Gorst. Interment
will be at Fraola cemetery in Olalla. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Steven Lyon Drury
Former Bremerton resident Steven Loren Lyon Drury, 42, of Arlington, Va., died June 18, 2002, in Washington, D.C.
He was born Nov. 27, 1959, in Camp Pendleton, Calif., to Thomas Harold and Irene Mae (Ford) Lyon. He attended Olympic High School.
Mr. Drury served in the Air Force from 1978 to 1982, achieving the rank of sergeant. He later worked as a computer programmer with Preston Gates attorneys in Washington, D.C.
He was a marathon runner and loved to travel. He was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his parents, now of Port Orchard; two brothers, James Lyon of Massachusetts and Thomas Lyon of Redmond; four sisters, Sharon Churches and her husband Stan of Utah, Margaret Ringo of Tacoma, Kathyrne Wilde of Oregon and Linda Leonard and her husband Charles of Oregon; his grandmother, Ruby Dunnihoo of Vancouver, Wash.; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday also at Lewis. Interment
will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Stanley Peratrovich
Stanley David Peratrovich, 83, of Bainbridge Island died June 22, 2002, on Bainbridge Island.
He was born May 4, 1919, in Klawock, Alaska, to James and Kathrine (Jackson) Peratrovich. He graduated from Wrangell Institute in Wrangell, Alaska, and attended Washington State College in Pullman.
Mr. Peratrovich served in the Army from 1941 to 1945, achieving the rank of sergeant. He later worked as a tour-boat operator.
He married
Evelyn Taber on June 6, 1949, in Walla Walla.
Mr. Peratrovich was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island.
He is survived by his wife. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jean Peratrovich; six brothers, John, Edward, William, Harold, Russell and Thomas; and by two sisters, Emily and Cecelia.
Visitation will be at noon Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Road NE. A funeral service follows at 1 p.m., also at the church. Interment
will be at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent. Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo.

Irene Herber
Irene Caroline Herber, 87, of Bremerton died June 21, 2002, at Belmont Terrace.
She was born Jan. 12, 1915, in Tacoma to John Alfred and Emma Amelia (Thompson) Danielson.
She graduated from Stadium High School in Tacoma in 1933.
Mrs. Herber married
Maurice Oliver Herber on Aug. 24, 1940, in Tacoma. He preceded her in death Dec. 4, 2001.
She was a family-oriented homemaker and she belonged to the Olympic Chapter No. 216 of Eastern Star and supported Rainbow Girls.
She also was a member of the Manette Community Church.
Mrs. Herber is survived by two daughters, Judy Bass and her husband Neil of Bremerton, and Donna Culbreath of Grand Forks, N.D; eight grandchildren and two great-grand-children.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Taylor; brothers, Clarence and Arthur Danielson; and a grandson, Brian K. Bass.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., both at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Glad Miniken
Former Bremerton resident Glad Miniken, 79, of Salem, Ore., died June 19, 2002, in Salem.
She was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Bremerton to Albert W. and Maude Marie (Sands) Moe. She grew up in the Bremerton area and lived in Bellevue from 1956 to 1972.
She married
James Miniken on April 4, 1942, in Bremerton. He died in 2001.
Mrs. Miniken served as executive director of the Willamette Council of Campfire for 20 years, retiring in 1984.
In 1997, she received the Distinguished Service Award from the Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Women of Distinction Award from Soroptomist International. She also was the recipient of the Gulick Award, the highest award given by National Campfire, as well as the Campfire National Pride Award for an outstanding disabled children's program.
Other recognition included the Honorary Life Award from the National Parent Teacher's Association and a certificate of appreciation from the Home Youth Resource Center in Salem. She was a past president of the American Association of University Women and had been an Educational Foundation Scholarship honoree.
Survivors include a son, John Miniken of Salem; a daughter, Jeanette Steinmetz of Tualatin, Ore.; a sister, Pauline Mattson of Mount Lake Terrace; and four grandchildren, Shannon Gardner, Stephanie and Ashley Steinmetz, and Heather Havel. She also was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Miniken.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Salem. Private interment will be at Willamette National cemetery in Portland, Ore., under the direction of Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.

Marjorie Foltz
Marjorie E. Foltz, 74, of Bremerton died June 18, 2002, of breast cancer at her home.
She was born July 15, 1927, in Snohomish to Arthur and Stena (Foss) Fralick. She graduated from Bremerton High School in 1945.
She married
Garland G. Foltz on Dec. 5, 1959, in Seattle.
Mrs. Foltz had worked as an office manager and loan processor in the mortgage industry.
She and her husband enjoyed spending time at their home on Hood Canal.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Arthur Foltz of Wenatchee and John Foltz of Port Orchard; a daughter, Janet Foltz of Vancouver, Wash.; an aunt, Helen Long of Bremerton; and four grandchildren, Angela and Steven Foltz and Kathleen and Chelsea Worland.
A memorial service is tentatively planned for July 20 at the Foltz home. Arrangements are under the direction of Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home.
