Don Kinder
Donald M. "Don" Kinder, 83, of Bremerton died July 9, 2002, in Bremerton.
He was born June 22, 1919, in Bremerton to Charles Alfred and Letia (Munn) Kinder. He graduated from Bremerton High School in 1937 and attended the University of Washington.
Mr. Kinder served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. He later worked in electronics at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239 and American Legion Post 149. He was an avid football fan.
Survivors include two sisters, Eveline Kinder Ledford and her husband, Rafe, of Port Orchard and Letia Kinder Heenan of Las Vegas; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Annie A. Wright
Annie A. Wright, 65, of Bremerton died of emphysema July 7, 2002, at her home.
She was born May 4, 1937, in Yakima to Raymond and Marvel (Hales) Wright. She attended Irene S. Reed High School in Shelton.
She had worked as a bartender in Elma for five years. Previously, she had been a baby sitter.
She was a member of the Shelton and Elma Eagles. She enjoyed taking care of children, crafts, gambling, playing cards (particularly gin rummy) and going to parties.
Survivors include her twin sister, Elizabeth Leah Pierce of Shelton; three nieces and one nephew; and an "adopted" family including Corey Lemon of Bremerton; Sherrie Bodi
of Bremerton; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at McComb Funeral Home in Shelton. A graveside service follows at 2 p.m. at Shelton Memorial Park, 1605 Van Buren St.
Wallace Stottlemyer
Wallace Orton Stottlemyer, 88, of Poulsbo died July 8, 2002, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center in Poulsbo.
He was born March 1, 1914, in Los Angeles to Franklin H. and Daisye M. (Wallace) Stottlemyer. He graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1932.
He married
Ellen Aichevich on July 3, 1936, in Bremerton. She preceeded him in death in 1990.
Mr. Stottlemyer had worked as an oiler with Operating Union Local 302. He also was a self-employed egg distributor and owner of Stottlemyer's U-Cut Christmas Trees for 21 years.
He enjoyed collecting glass insulators and traveling.
Survivors include a son, Frank D. Stottlemyer and his wife, Jeanne, of Poulsbo; a daughter, Kathy Jackson and her husband, Dean, of Poulsbo; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned. Burial will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Pieter Deurloo
Pieter Deurloo, 82, of Port Orchard died July 4, 2002, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton after a heart attack.
He was born March 9, 1920, in Delft, Holland, to Pieter and Pietja (Brouwer) Deurloo.
He married
Elizabeth Vander Klugt on Jan. 30, 1948, in Delft, and later that year the couple moved to Canada. Mr. Deurloo operated his own contracting business in Canada and also sponsored many Dutch immigrants. In 1962, he moved to Waterford, Conn., and worked as a contractor and cabinet maker. His wife died in 1982, and he moved to Washington in 1994.
Mr. Deurloo enjoyed vegetable gardening, raising chickens and traveling. He was a fan of the Seattle Mariners and the New England Patriots.
He is survived by a son, Pieter G. Deurloo of Bainbridge, Pa.; two daughters, Louise E. Welliver of Port Orchard and Margaret J. Edmonds of Poway, Calif.; two brothers, Jan Deurloo of Delft and Jacob Deurloo of Toronto, Ontario, Canada; two sisters, Cornelia P.J. Van Haaster of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and Pietje Beest of Holland; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Antonie and Gerrit Deurloo.
There will be no services. Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel. Donations in his name can be made to a charity of your choice.
James Craig
James Thomas Craig, 73, of Bremerton died July 5, 2002, of pulmonary fibrosis at his home.
He was born Jan. 14, 1929, in Akron, Ohio, to Ralph and Lova (Hanes) Craig. He graduated from Akron Central High School in 1947 and attended the University of Akron.
Mr. Craig served with the Army Artillery from 1951 to 1958, achieving the rank of captain.
He later worked as a food clerk for 13 years and as a custodian for 10 years with the United Food Confection Workers Union in Riverside, Calif. He was retired.
While living in Riverside, Mr. Craig had actively participated in Boy Scouts as a cub master. He also enjoyed sports.
Survivors include his wife, Ryoko (Nakamoto) Craig; two sons, Scott Craig of Riverside and James Craig Jr. of St. Louis; three daughters, Wendy Ruggles of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Laura Craig of Riverside and Paula Huck of Bremerton; a brother, Charles Dorow of Stow, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Brandon, Grace, Grant, Eleanor, Stuart, David and Sarah. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Craig.
A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at The Church of Christ, 3601 Adams in Riverside. Private inurnment will be at the Riverside National cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Lois LeMond
Lois Marlene LeMond, 72, of Bremerton died July 4, 2002, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center in Bremerton.
She was born Feb. 28, 1930, in Jamestown, N.D., to Henry E. and Violet E. (Camp) Lee. She attended Turtle Lake High School in Turtle Lake, N.D.
She married
Harold L. LeMond on Jan. 8, 1953. They were divorced in 1981.
She became a homemaker after their marriage. She had previously worked as a telephone operator.
She enjoyed travel and cooking.
Survivors include two daughters, Lauri L. Gearllach and her husband, William, of Bremerton and Lois L. "Tobi" LeMond; two brothers, Gerald Lee and his wife, Linda, of Merced, Calif., and Milton Lee and his wife, Helen, of Renton; three sisters, Iona Rathje of Fargo, N.D., Marlys Harper and her husband, Bob, of Auburn and Janice Sullivan and her husband, Patrick, of Shelton; two grandchildren, Lee E. Gearllach of Bremerton and Zana L. Gearllach of Seabeck; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlee M. Gearllach and Anthony W. Gearllach, both of Bremerton. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Vernon and Delbert Lee.
Visitation will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Vinland Lutheran Church in Poulsbo. A service will follow at 11 a.m. also at the church. Burial will be at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Cecil Blair
Former Kitsap County resident Cecil Blair, 79, of Covington, Ga., died July 6, 2002.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home in Covington. Interment
will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington.
Floyd Crum
Floyd Richard Crum, 73, of Poulsbo died July 5, 2002, at Martha & Mary Nursing Home in Poulsbo.
He was born Dec. 8, 1928, at Entiat. He was raised in Eastern Washington and attended Wilbur High School in Wilbur, graduating in 1946.
Mr. Crum served in the Army during the Korean War. He also worked at the telephone company and as an electronics technician at Bangor for several years. He also was a farmer.
On June 17, 1967, he married
Lois E. Carroll on Fox Island.
He enjoyed sailing.
Survivors include his wife; three stepsons, Larry Bender of Poulsbo, Dan Bender of Suquamish and Ken Bender of Keyport; two brothers, Norman Crum of Lewiston, Idaho, and Elroy Crum of Priest Lake, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen, in October 1970.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service at the Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Michael O'Malley
Michael Andrew O'Malley, 60, of Port Orchard died July 3, 2002, in Bremerton.
He was born Feb. 27, 1942, in Ballard to Eugene H. and Lila (Knight) O'Malley. He attended North Thurston High School and later graduated from Oak Harbor High School.
He married
the former Lana M. White on Dec. 11, 1961, in Las Vegas.
Mr. O'Malley served in the Navy from 1959 to 1982, first as an aviation electronics technician and later as a master-at-arms, attaining the rank of senior chief petty officer. He earned five Good Conduct medals and the Navy Achievement Medal.
He then served for 19 years as a Port Orchard police officer.
His interests included motorcycle riding, model trains and model shipbuilding.
He is survived by his wife, of Port Orchard; two daughters, Dawn M. Cortes of Topsham, Maine, and Tara A. Carley of Port Orchard; and four grandchildren, Krista, Cameron, Logan and Emi.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Rill Chapel, 1151 Mitchell Ave. in Port Orchard.
Pieter Deurloo
Pieter Deurloo, 82, of Port Orchard died July 14, 2002, at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton following a heart attack.
He was born March 9, 1920, in Delft, Holland, to Pieter and Pietja (Brouwer) Deurloo.
He married

Grant Barton
Former Bremerton resident Grant Eddie Barton, 84, of Medford, Ore., died June 30, 2002, at his home.
He was born Jan. 19, 1918, in Portland, Ore.
He served in the Army during World War II, achieving the rank of corporal. He was honorably discharged in 1947.
He married
Annette M. Selvage on June 2, 1962, in Bremerton. She died in 1992.
Mr. Barton had been employed at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 31 years. He had also worked at a shipyard in Long Beach, Calif., and at Todd and Lockheed shipyards in Seattle.
He moved from Bremerton to Medford five years ago. He had been a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Bremerton.
Mr. Barton enjoyed photography and family history.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Hylton of Portland, Ore.; two sons, Dennis Barton of Port Orchard and Ken Barton of Rogue River, Ore.; a brother, Donald Barton of Elma; a niece; two nephews; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at noon Thursday at Forest Lawn cemetery in Bremerton. Arrangements are under the direction of Hull & Hull Funeral Directors of Grants Pass, Ore.
