Carole McDaniel
Carole JoAnne McDaniel, 63, of Bremerton, died Nov. 25, 1998. She was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Bremerton to Percy Edward and Isabelle Helen Middleton.
Her father preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. McDaniel was raised and educated in Bremerton, where she graduated from Bremerton High School in 1953.
On Sept. 19, 1953, she married
Donald Irvin McDaniel.
She worked as a veterans counselor at Olympic College at the time of her retirement in 1996.
Survivors include her husband at the family home; her mother of Bremerton; two sons, Steve of Allyn and Greg of Bremerton; daughter Julie Duncan of Bremerton; and six grandchildren, Marissa McDaniel, Rory McDaniel, Jordan Duncan, Devon McDaniel, Chris Duncan and Andrew McDaniel.
Rosary and memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Dec. 5 at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton. Arrangements are by Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Emma Crowl
Emma L. Crowl, 91, of Bainbridge Island died Nov. 26, 1998, at Martha and Mary Nursing Home.
She was born March 19, 1907, in Beloit, Wis., to Patrick and Harriet (Dickinson) LaVelle. She was raised and educated in Beloit, Wis.
Mrs. Crowl worked as a bookkeeper.
She leaves no survivors.

Beryl Walker
Beryl M. Blossom Walker, 72, of Bremerton died Nov. 28, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital, from respiratory failure.
She was born April 8, 1926, in Suquamish to Frank and Grace (Carithers) Blossom. She was raised in Seabeck and graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 1944.
Survivors include a daughter, Celia of Goforth; two brothers, Bill of Ft. Meyers, Fla., and Glen of Port Townsend; two sisters, Julia Metz of Bremerton and Margorie of Seabeck; and one grandchild, Armand Real of Silverdale.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 4 at the Christian Worship Center, Camp Union.

Sandy Johnson
Sandy Johnson, 50, of Port Orchard died Nov. 25, 1998.
She was a former legislative assistant to Senator Bob Oke.
Survivors include her mother, Evelyn Sutton of La Mesa, Calif.; and a brother, Lee Sutton of Eugene, Ore.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Manchester Community Church.
Johanna Wyatt
Johanna M. Wyatt, 54, of Poulsbo died Nov. 30, 1998.
She was born May 30, 1944, in the Netherlands to Dirk and Maria Meyerink. She was raised and educated there.
She was a member of the Holland American Club and Christ Memorial Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Wyatt; three sons, Scott, Robert and Justin of Washington and California; a daughter, Desiree of Washington; four brothers, Frans, Hans, Gerry and Johnny Meyerink, all of the Netherlands; three sisters, Dicky Langhenkel, Carla Veldhuis and Loes Wichers-Schreur, all of the Netherlands; and two grandchildren, Matthew and Molly Wyatt, both of Stanwood.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 2 at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 3 at Christ Memorial Church in Poulsbo. Interment
will follow church service at Reflection Lot 15, space 7.

Alfred Gastineau
Alfred Carroll Gastineau, 93, of Poulsbo died Nov. 24, 1998.
He was born July 7, 1905, in Port Townsend to Alfred M. and Alice (Carroll) Gastineau. He was raised and educated in Quilcene.
On Aug. 28, 1928, he married
Alice M. Haugen in Seattle.
Mr. Gastineau worked with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for 40 years. He was stationed in Washington, Wyoming, Oregon and California, retiring in 1966.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo, the Masonic Order, the Eastern Star and N.A.R.F.E.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Williams of Reno, Nev.; three grandchildren, Nicola Cannon of Chilcoot, Calif., and Gary and Chris Williams, both of Chico, Calif.; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced at a later date.

George Weddle
George Harold "Hal" Weddle, 84, of Port Orchard died Nov. 30, 1998, in Bremerton.
He was born July 29, 1914, in Yakima to George and Anna (Dahlke) Weddle.
On June 14, 1942, he married
Priscilla Hoffman in Yakima. She preceded him in death in 1995.
He was the owner of Allied Credit Exchange, and also had operated the Credit Bureau of Jefferson County in Port Townsend. He retired in 1996.
Mr. Weddle was a member of Kiwanis for more than 40 years and was lieutenant governor of Division 28 of Washington and the Pacific Northwest. He was a past president of the South Kitsap Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Port Orchard United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a cousin, Clarence Dahlke of Port Orchard.

Elva Nadeau
Longtime Bainbridge Island resident Elva I. Nadeau, 98, died Nov. 26, 1998, in Portland, Ore.
She was born March 30, 1900, in Reno, Nev., to Andrew and Maude Archibald. She moved to Olympia in 1916.
On Dec. 30, 1923, she married
Louis Nadeau. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Nadeau was a member of the Eastern Star in Olympia and the Belles and Beaus Square Dancing Club.
Survivors include three sons, Donald of Hawthorne, Calif., James of Port Orchard and Warren of Poulsbo; a sister, Ruth Mand of Lynnwood; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two children, Joan Ness and Dick Nadeau.
Private services were conducted.
Memorials may be made to the Providence Portland Medical Foundation.
Martha Gartin
Martha P. "Pat" Gartin, 74, of Bremerton died Nov. 20, 1998, at home after a long illness.
She was born May 11, 1924, in Washington Courthouse, Ohio, to Alphonso and Cora Jane (Sword) Dearth. She graduated from high school in Washington Courthouse.
On Dec. 28, 1955, she married
Wayne "Buck" Gartin in New Bedford, Mass. They renewed their vows on their 25th wedding anniversary at Bangor Base.
Mrs. Gartin was a retired Navy housewife.
Survivors include her husband; four sons; two daughters; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Judy Loop
Judy Marie Loop, 52, of Port Orchard died Nov. 29, 1998, at Harrison Memorial Hospital of a sudden heart attack.
She was born April 26, 1946, in Bremerton to Lyle and Joy (Eyler) Gauthier. She was raised in Bremerton, attending West Bremerton High School.
On Dec. 31, 1983, she married
Herbert Loop in Port Orchard.
Mrs. Loop worked in her earlier years as a waitress, bartender and restaurant manager. Most recently, she worked as a secretary, receptionist and office manager for real-estate and engineering companies. The past five years she was office manager at Herb Loop and Associates Commercial Real Estate.
She was a member of The Volunteer Search Network and the Birth Mother's Support Group.
Survivors include a son, Joseph McGill of California; a daughter, Jeramee of Port Orchard; a stepson, Kevin of Port Orchard; two stepdaughters, Samantha Wooff and Robin Scott, both of Port Orchard; two brothers, Jim Gauthier of Montana, and Ben Gauthier of Bremerton; and three grandchildren, Daniel, Claire and Matthew McGill, all of California.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Dec. 4, with Memorial services immediately following, both at Rill Chapel.
