Willie Hapworth
William Russell "Willie" Hapworth, 63, of Poulsbo died Sept. 28, 2002, of leukemia at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Aug. 24, 1939, in Winslow, Maine, to William M. and Madeline M. (Bolduc) Hapworth. He graduated from Waterville High School in Waterville, Maine, in 1958.
He married
Sarah Louise Stanley on Jan. 14, 1967, in Bremerton.
Mr. Hapworth served in the Navy from 1962 to 1966, achieving the rank of engineman second class. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
He went on to complete 32 years of government service as a marine machinist at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and at the Naval Submarine Base at Bangor. He retired in 1995.
Mr. Hapworth was a member of the North Kitsap Eagles and a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Gary Crawford; three sisters, Shirley Veneziano of Skowhegan, Maine, and Marilyn Carnegie and Connie Wood, both of Vassalboro, Maine; three grandchildren, Joe, Yolonda and George; and a great-grandson, Kyle.
No services will be held. Memorial donations may be made to cancer research of the donor's choice.
Rene Brinkerhoff
Norine "Rene" Brinkerhoff, 80, of Port Orchard died Oct. 1, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born March 11, 1922, in El Paso, Texas, to George and Sarah Wilhelm. She graduated from Austin High School in El Paso in 1940.
She married
James R. "Dick" Brinkerhoff on Feb. 14, 1942, in Port Orchard.
Mrs. Brinkerhoff was a co-owner, along with her husband, of Brinkerhoff's Appliance for 50 years. She retired in 1998.
She was a member of Pythian Sisters.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard Brinkerhoff of Port Orchard; two daughters, Debra Chamberlain and Nancy Pribbenow, both of Port Orchard; three brothers, John and Gerrold Wilhelm, both of El Paso, and David Wilhelm of Seattle; a sister, Suzanne Snedden of San Leandro, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Cash, and two brothers, Joseph and George Wilhelm.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery in Port Orchard.

Anne Henry
M. Anne Henry, 69, of Bremerton died Sept. 30, 2002, at her home of natural causes.
She was born June 2, 1933, in Denver to Warren and Elsie (Johnson) Proctor. She graduated from high school in Denver and attended college in Wheat Ridge, Colo., for two years.
She married
R. Wes Henry on March 14, 1979, in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Henry served as a police officer in Bremerton from 1965 until her retirement in 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Micheal Delong of Edmonton, Canada, and Peter Delong; two daughters, Dana McCarty of Whitefish, Mont., and Karen Douty of Seabeck; a sister, Sue Walgren of Bremerton; and four grandchildren.
No services will be held.
Pauline Daluria
Pauline M. Daluria, 80, of Bremerton died Sept. 23, 2002, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Frank and Lillian Bertha (Humphrey) Dietz. She graduated from Lee High School in Grand Rapids in 1937.
She married
Gilbert Daluria Sr. on March 28, 1939, in Grand Rapids. He died in 1994.
Mrs. Daluria was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening and visiting close family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Gilbert Daluria Jr. and his wife, Lupe, and David Daluria and his wife, Frances, all of Bremerton; a brother, John B. Dietz of Clarksville, Tenn.; a sister, Leona Hamilton of Grandville, Mich.; four grandchildren, Christina, Diane, David, and Theresa; and two great-grandchildren, Aurora and Anthony.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Michael Spencer
Michael J. Spencer, 39, of Bremerton died Sept. 3, 2002, in Bremerton.
He was born Dec. 16, 1962, in San Diego to Robert R. and Mary Ann (Gaasch) Spencer. He graduated from Valley High School in Escondido, Calif., in 1981 and attended Palomar Community College in Vista, Calif.
Mr. Spencer was an accomplished guitar player. He also enjoyed racing cars, motorcycles and fishing.
Survivors include three brothers, Bob Spencer and his wife, Wendy, of Yakima, Dave Spencer and his wife, Jen, of San Diego, and Paul Spencer and his wife, Nina, of Kalamazoo, Mich.; three sisters, Peggy Spencer and Cindy Keen and her husband, Michael, both of Silverdale, and Mary Beth Spencer of Oakland, Calif.; three nieces, Tanya (Keen) Stewart and her husband, Jake, and Maraena and Kyndra; and two nephews, Jordan and Mark Keen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandparents, William L. and Melba Spencer and Frank and Margaret Gaasch.
Services are private.
Joseph Rosenberg
Joseph Rosenberg, 84, of Poulsbo died Oct. 1, 2002, in Bremerton.
He was born May 24, 1918, in Boston to Samuel and Ethel (Greenberg) Rosenberg. He attended Biddeford High School in Biddeford, Maine, and received his GED in 1957.
He married
Alpha N. Norwood on Feb. 14, 1959. She died in 1984.
Mr. Rosenberg served in the Army from 1942 until his retirement in 1973, achieving the rank of sergeant first class. He was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and a Bronze Star.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason and a member of the AM Phoenix Lodge in Fayetteville, N.C.
Survivors include a son, Ernest T. Rosenberg of Portland, Maine; two daughters, Dianna M. Capps of Melbourne, Fla., and B.R. Wheeler of Poulsbo; four grandchildren, Nicole, Melissa, Shawn and Aaron; and two great-grandchildren, Corinna and Kiet. A sister, Libby Smith of Bangor, Maine, also preceded him in death.
A memorial service with full military honors will be held at a later date.
Thomas Holmgren
Thomas C. Holmgren, 36, of Snohomish, formerly of Hansville, died Sept. 29, 2002, in Hansville.
He was born Aug. 5, 1966, in Inglewood, Calif., to Kenneth and Marilyn (Tjepkema) Holmgren. He graduated from Snohomish High School in 1984.
Mr. Holmgren served in the Navy as an operations specialist aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Fox.
He enjoyed writing music and playing various instruments.
Survivors include his parents, now of Hansville; a brother, Scott Holmgren and his wife, Cindy, of Everett; and his grandmothers, Evalyn Geary and Anna Vandenbosch, both of Everett; and his former wife and best friend, Patricia O'Neal of Marysville.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 12 at View Ridge Community Church, 4800 Dogwood Ave. in Everett. Inurnment will be at the Hansville cemetery.
Kathleen Buss
Kathleen Sue Buss, 86, of Port Orchard died Oct. 2, 2002, in Bremerton.
She was born Dec. 31, 1915, in Bloomington, Ind., to William A. and Ethyl (Trimble) Turner.
She worked as an office manager at an insurance company. She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Winter Park, Fla.
Survivors include a son, Bill Fuller of Port Ludlow; a brother, William Turner of Galesburg, Ill.; a sister, Betty Lou Walsman of Indianapolis; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at Woodlawn cemetery in Gotha, Fla. Local arrangements are under direction of Haven of Rest Funeral Home in Gig Harbor.
Earleen Daul
Earleen (Carpintor) Daul, 47, of Seabeck died Sept. 22, 2002, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
She was born Jan. 25, 1955, in Toledo, Ore., to Earl and Mary Carpintor.
She graduated from Aloha High School in Beaverton, Ore., in 1973.
She loved animals and the outdoors.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Eller of Idaho; a son, Christopher Van Arnam of Michigan; a daughter, Stephanie Evaristo of Oregon; and a sister, Vonnie Avila.
A private memorial service has been held.
Edgar Wolfe
Edgar L. Wolfe, 71, of Hansville died Sept. 29, 2002, in Bremerton.
He was born Oct. 16, 1930, in Woodinville to the Rev. Welty Wolfe and Jessie (Pence) Wolfe.
Mr. Wolfe worked for Sullivan Heating and Cooling of Bremerton.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening and spending time with his dogs, Lacey and Cole. He was a member of the Port Townsend Elks and the Poulsbo Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Roberta (Delby) Wolfe; his mother-in-law, Blanche Delby of Hansville; three sons, Daniel Wolfe of Seattle, Edward Wolfe and his wife, Diana, of Suquamish and David Rasmussen of Edmonds; three daughters, Deborah Huxford and her husband, Chuck, of Wenatchee, Christine Todd and her husband, Gary, of Suquamish and Janet Malone of Hansville; a brother, Welty Wolfe and his wife, Marlene, of Yuma, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at noon Oct. 12 at the Eagles Lodge, 4230 NE Lincoln Road in Poulsbo. Arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo.
