Lily Bergh
Lily Johanna Bergh, 91, of Bremerton died Jan. 2, 1999, at Belmont Terrace.
She was born Dec. 5, 1907, in Sweden, to Otto and Frieda (Cornstrum) Naslund. She was raised in Lewiston, Idaho.
Mrs. Bergh was a member of the United Methodist Church of Tracyton, the Elks Club and the SOS Seniors Club.
Survivors include a son, Duane of Silverdale; a daughter, Joann Silva of Bremerton; two sisters, Mary Hedberg and Gladys Mason, both of Idaho; four grandchildren, Darcy Phelps of Silverdale, Julie Cooper of Seabeck, Carrie BeCraft of Redmond and Carrin Bergh of Kirkland; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben G. Bergh; and her sister, Elsa Hanson.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Willows Retirement Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.

Patricia Hamilton
Longtime Bremerton resident, Patricia Elaine (Opsata) Hamilton, 58, died Dec. 12, 1998, at her home in North Bend.
She was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Bellingham to Al and Margret (Hemsley) Opsata. She was raised in Washington, graduating from Bremerton High School.
In 1959, she married Jack Hamilton.
Mrs. Hamilton worked for Tanner Electric for 23 years.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; two daughters, Tami Morgan and Toni Hamilton, both of North Bend; two sisters, Bonnie Johnson of Des Moines and Tere Noll of Silverdale; and two grandchildren, Zachary Vaughn and Makayla Everson, both of North Bend.
A memorial service for Mrs. Hamilton was conducted Dec. 19, 1998, in North Bend.

John Weatherill
John "Jack" W. Weatherill, 60, of Washougal died Dec. 25, 1998, while vacationing in Sierra Vista, Ariz.
He was born on Aug. 17, 1938, in Shelton to John and Hazel (Barrick) Weatherill. He moved to Poulsbo in 1940, and graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1956.
In November 1956, he enlisted in the Air Force and was stationed at Campian Air Station in Alaska and later in Blaine, Wash., receiving an honorable discharge on Dec. 7, 1958. Mr. Weatherill worked for many years as an interstate truck driver and worked for Market Transport in Portland, Ore., at the time of his death.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Washougal; two sons, Kenneth of Kent and Kevin of Ferndale; two daughters, Kari Lee VanBeek of Custer and Lisa Teela of Bellingham; three stepsons, Charles and Richard, both of Vancouver, and Donald of Texas; one sister, Williene Harris of Bremerton; one brother, Rick Weatherill of Poulsbo; nine grandchildren, Scott and Angela, both of Kent, Hillary, Mitch and Hanna, all of Ferndale, Dwayne, Matt and Jessica, all of Custer, and Elizabeth of Bellingham; and six stepgr and children.
Cremation was conducted in Sierra Vista, Ariz. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Jan. 16 at the First Church of God, 3300 NE 78th Street, Vancouver, Wash.
Memorials may be made to Harrison Hospital Foundation, Diabetes Health Care, 2520 Cherry Avenue, Bremerton, WA 98310 or to Hospice of Kitsap County, P. O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383 or to a charity of the donor's choice.

Lyal Paul
Lyal Davy Paul, 79, of Addy, Wash., died Dec. 30, 1998, of a heart attack.
He was born June 27, 1919, in Nampa, Idaho, to Otto and Martha Paul. He was raised in Montour, Idaho, graduating from Garden Valley High School.
On Aug. 10, 1968, he married Vi Graebener in Bremerton.
Mr. Paul served in the Army during World War II, receiving an honorable discharge. He worked as a portable welder for several businesses in Kitsap County. He worked a total of 50 years as a welder, more than 30 of them with Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Lockheed. Most recently, he worked for Paul's Welding, retiring in 1979.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Chewelah, Wash.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Lloyd and Dennis, both of Emmett, Idaho, and Dave of Garden Valley, Idaho; two stepsons, Ron Chinn of Seattle and Al Chinn of Kent; three stepdaughters, Sheri Mendy of Kellogg, Idaho, Mona Foley of Seabeck and Norie Ahlf of Baltimore, Md.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, David Santos.
A service has been conducted.
Memorials may be made to Vi Paul, P.O. Box 3, Addy, Wash. 99101.

Viola Wallach
Viola N. Wallach, 93, of Bremerton died Jan. 5, 1999, at the Bremerton Convalescent Center.
She was born Oct. 19, 1905, in Seattle. She was raised and educated in Seattle.
In 1927, she married Albert Wallach in Seattle. He preceded her in death in 1997.
Mrs. Wallach, along with her husband, owned and operated Wallach Drug Store in Bremerton from the early 1940s until 1977.
She was past president and a life member of the Bremerton Soroptomists Club, served on the board of directors of the Bremerton Salvation Army for many years, was a long-time member of the Children's Orthopedic Guild and had a Guild chapter named after her.
Survivors include a son, George of Bremerton; a daughter, Shirley Gosselin of Bremerton; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Inurnment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery, under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
A reception celebrating her life will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 16 at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Children's Hospital, 4800 Sand Point Way, Seattle, WA 98105.

Wesley Cox
Wesley N. Cox, 29, of Silverthorn, Colo., died Dec. 29, 1998, in Ocean Shores.
He was born Sept. 18, 1969, in Bremerton to Nolen and Ruby (Thomas) Cox. He was raised in Belfair, attending North Mason High School.
Mr. Cox worked in automotive maintenance and repair.
Survivors include his wife, LaLena (Ludwig) Cox of Colorado; his parents; two daughters, Melissa and Brittany, both of Silverthorn, Colo.; and three sisters, Marilyn Harmon of Fort Worth, Texas, Brenda Ryon of Reisville, Ga., and Gladys Flournoy of Austin, Texas.
No services have been scheduled at this time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Donald Sullivan Sr.
Donald Earl Sullivan Sr., 67, of Bremerton died Jan. 4, 1999, at his home.
He was born Oct. 2, 1931, in Port Townsend. He received an associate degree from Olympic College in 1957.
Mr. Sullivan served in the Air Force. He later worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Jr. of Auburn and John of Bremerton; a daughter, Sally Laurie of Poulsbo; two brothers, Dick of Lake Havasu City, Ariz., and Skip Clemens of John Day, Ore.; two sisters, Susie of Spokane and Gloria Ward of Portland, Ore.; and two grandchildren, Cameron Laurie and Lauren Sullivan.
Cremation and inurnment at Tahoma National cemetery in Kent.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.

Elenor Hanlon-Erro
Elenor "Jean" Hanlon-Erro, 70, of Bremerton died Dec. 26, 1998, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Coffeeville, Kan., to Ray and Leona (Farage) Orand. She was raised in Kansas and Oregon.
She retired from a career in the Social Security Administration, and served as president of the Portland chapter of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Survivors include her son, James Bingham of Vancouver, British Columbia; two daughters, Diana Mattson of Trinidad, Calif., and Marcia Morris of Seabeck; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A private family service was conducted.

Chesley Proffitt
Chesley "Chris" Hoge Proffitt, 68, of Port Orchard died Jan. 6, 1999, at his home.
He was born Jan. 5, 1931, in White Hall, Va., to Thomas and Stella (Wray) Proffitt. He was raised and educated in White Hall, Va.
On June 27, 1975, he married Edna Bartch.
Mr. Proffitt served in the Navy from 1951 to 1975.
He later worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 17 years, retiring in 1993.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Ron Coleman Jr. of Port Orchard; three daughters, Cindy Coleman of Graham, Tammy Brittain of Port Orchard and Barbara Henderson of North Dakota; two brothers, Glenn and Renick, both of Virginia; a sister, June Bessell of Virginia; seven grandchildren, Brittney and Tony Maloney, both of Graham, Ronny Coleman III of Port Orchard, and Billy, Tony, Jeromy and Dawn Henderson, all of North Dakota; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Jan. 9 at Miller Woodlawn Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, P.O. Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383.

Mary Reitler
Longtime Kitsap County resident Mary I. Reitler, 78, died Jan. 4, 1999, in Orlando, Fla.
She was born June 28, 1920, to Edward and Ida (Blatt) Vensel. She was raised in Pennsylvania.
On Sept. 13, 1962, she married Elan L. Reitler in New Castle, Penn. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Reitler was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, John Fox of Orlando, James Fox of Portland, Ore., and Ronald Reitler of Billings, Mont.; a daughter, Toni McNeal of Bothel; two sisters, Margaret Mealey of Butler, Penn., and Louise Bensel of Shicora, Penn.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Jan. 8 at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home, with a graveside service immediately following at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park.
