Leslie Bettle
Leslie Read Piercy Bettle went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 10, 2003 after a battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Los Angeles, California on June 8, 1955 to Geneva and Rex Read and raised in the San Gabriel Valley.
She married
Richard Piercy in 1974 who preceded her in death in 1994.
She married
Christie Bettle in 1995.
Leslie was a loving daughter, mother, and wife. She was known for her quick wit and loving heart.
She enjoyed family, friends, training dogs and singing in the Praise Band at Christ the Rock Community Church.
Survivors include her husband, Christie of Port Orchard, Washington, her mother Geneva Read of Rogue River, Oregon, her daughter and son in law Jessica and Mark Melvin of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, son and daughter in law Brian and Elizabeth Piercy, and her only grandchild, Annalee Joy Piercy of Bangor, Washington, son Jeff Piercy of Port Orchard, WA.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rex Beach Read.
A Memorial Service will be held Firday at 1 PM at Christ the Rock Community Church.
In lieu of Flowers the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Music Ministry at Christ the Rock Community Church in Port Orchard, Washington.

Yvonne Mygatt
Yvonne E. Mygatt died November 3, 2003 of Leukemia at her Port Orchard, Washington home. She was 63.
She was born July 27, 1940 in Burkburnet, Texas to Lonnie and Helen (Crocker) Stonecipher.
Yvonne married
Robert A. Mygatt July 7, 1961 in Everett, Washington.
She graduated from Everett High School in Everett, Washington in 1959.
Yvonne was a homemaker.
She helped in the 4-H organization for over 20 years; volunteered extensively with the Extension Club; worked as the Eligibility Chairman for the Pee Wee Sports; was a Master Gardener; was active in The Cancer Survivors Network; enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, talking on the phone for hours, and spending time on her computer.
A ceremony was held Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center.

Michael Carroll, Sr.
Michael A. Carrol, Sr. died at his residence in Bremerton, Washington November 8, 2003. He was 52.
He was born in Seattle, Washington December 27, 1950 to Emil "Bud" and Junelle (Pitkin) Carroll.
Michael graduated from Sealth High School in Seattle, Washington in 1968.
He also graduated from Southern Oregon in Ashland, Oregon in 1989 - attaining a Masters in Business.
He worked in Grocery Management.
Michael enjoyed golf and fishing.
He was a Protestant.
Michael is survived by his parents, Emil "Bud" and Junelle Carroll of Port Orchard, Washington; son - Michael Carroll, Jr. of Auburn, Washington.
A funeral service will be held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.

Delphine Yongue
Delphine M. Yongue died November 14, 2003 at Belmont Terrace in Bremerton, Washington. She was 90.
She was born August 13, 1913 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Anne (Hewitt) Yongue.
She married
Norman G. Yongue October 31, 1941 in San Diego, California.
Delphine worked as a beautician in Vallejo, California for 16 years - retiring in 1968.
Delphine is survived by son - Ralph Rock of Sacramento, California; daughter - Norma Braughton of Belfair, Washington; numerous grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Norman G. Yongue, sons - Donald and Earl Rock, grandson - Randy Rock and by 12 brothers and sisters.
Interment wil be held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
Bertha Kelly
Bertha "Thora" Kelly died of natural causes at Forest Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Bremerton, Washington November 4, 2003. She was 92.
She was born July 26, 1911 in Charleston, Washington to Bert and Sara (Gudmundson) Gall.
She married
K.C. Kelly July 2, 1936 in San Diego, California.
Bertha graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington in 1930.
She wa a homemaker; and, worked for 2 years as a beautician.
Bertha was a member of Pleasant Valley Garden Club, PTA; was a den mother; helped write a portion of Kitsap County Historial Society Book.
She was a Christian.
Bertha is survived by her son - Bert Kelly (& wife, Helen) of Port Orchard, Washington; 2 grandchildren (Greg Kelly & wife, Louise of Silverdale, Washington, Eric Kelly of Port Orchard, Washington); 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brother - George Gall.

Cora Johnson
Cora Loren Johnson died October 26, 2003 at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. She was 87.
She was born July 1, 1916 in Port Orchard, Washington to William and Louise (Crouch) McPherson.
She married
Emerald Johnson March of 1936 in Shelton, Washington.
Cora graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington.
She worked at the Washington Veterans Home at Retsil as a food service worker.
Cora enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening.
Cora is survived by her son - Gordon Johnson (& wife, Patricia) of Port Orchard, Washington; daughter - Lorna Jacobsen (& husband, Bill) of Bremerton, Washington; sister - Louise Pedersen of Bremerton, Washington; 10 grandchildren (Brenda Sullivan, Billy Jacobsen, Erick Jacobsen, Gordon W. Johnson, Lori Bowe, Susan Marrett, April McCade, Alex Johnson, David Johnson, and Tammy Gelineau); 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son - Alex Johnson.

John Carlson, Sr.
John Wallace Carlson, Sr. died at his Manchester, Washington residence. He was 73.
He was born in Dale, Minnesota on February 10, 1930 to Carl and Clara (Wahlstrom) Carlson.
John married
Retha (Robison) Carlson June 16, 1950 in Port Orchard, Washington.
He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1948; and attained a BA in 1956 and MA in 1962 at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington. He earned a Doctorate from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona in 1969.
John served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954 - attaining rank of Corporeal - Telegraph and Radio Operator in Korea..
He worked as a Professor in Graduate Studies at Cal State University at North Ridge for 23 years. He retired in 1992.
He also worked as a professor at Azusa Pacific University in California.
John loved to read and travel; and, enjoyed his family.
He was a member of Manchester Community Church in Manchester, Washington.
John is survived by his wife, Retha (Robison) Carlson, of the Manchester, Washington family home; son - John Carlson, Jr. (& wife, Suzanne) of Manchester, WA.; daughters - Janice Carlson of Port Orchard, Washington, Beverly Wilder (& husband, Mark) of Moscow, Idaho; brother - William M. Carlson of Shoreline, Washington; sisters - Kathereen Trafton of Payson, Arizona and Marcella Clark of Payson, Arizona; 16 grandchildren (Mark Wilder, Jr., Krista Tenney, Luke Wilder, Kyle Wilder, Melissa Wilder, Levi Wilder, Breanna Wilder, Brittney Wilder, Cherise Workman, Elizabeth Grubb, Kati Carlson, Jennifer Carlson, Amanda Carlson, John Robert Carlson, Annika Carlson, Sonnett Carlson); 5 great-grandchildren (Connor Tenney, Hailey Tenney, Bailey Workman, Spencer Grubb, Logan Grubb).

Rosemarie Pastore
Rosemarie Pastore died of cancer October 29, 2003 at her Port Orchard, Washington home. She was 67.
She was born June 22, 1936 in Camden, New Jersey to Michael and Mary (Murgida) Pastore.
She attended English High School in Lynn Massachusetts and Lynn Hospital School of Nursing - also of Lynn Massachusetts.
Rosemarie worked 22 years as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, California - retiring in 1984.
She then moved to Port Orchard, Washington in 1992.
She loved cooking - especially Italian cooking, fishing and playing bridge; was an Eucharistic Minister for homebound parishioners of St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church.
She was a member of St. Gabriel' parish.
Rosemarie is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Massachusetts and California.
A funeral mass was held at noon on Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at St. Gabriel Roman Catholic Church.
A graveside service will be held in Lynn, Massachusetts in the spring.
Doris Roach
Doris D. Roach died October 28, 2003 at Ridgemont Terrace in Port Orchard, Washington. She was 98.
She was born July 19, 1905 in Blue Ridge, Missouri to John and Rosa (Kinkade) King.
Doris married
Oscar P. Roach September 12, 1933 in Port Orchard, Washington.
She graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington.
She worked at Washington Veterans Home - retiring October 1, 1971.
Doris was a member of Eastern Star, of South Colby Grange, and was a charter member of South Colby Methodist Church; she enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, and being with children and grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters - Marilyn Collins of Liberty Lake, Washington, Joan Boehme of Port Orchard, Washington; 5 grandchildren (Shauna Eggen, Mark Collins, Shannon Roselli, J.D. Boehme, Janell Boehme-Kalamar); 8 great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
A funeral service was held at Rill Chapel's Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard, Washington on Monday, November 3, 2003 at 10:30 a.m.
Interment was held at Sunset Lane Memorial Park.
