Beatrice Marshall
Beatrice Lucille Marshall, 92, of Bremerton died Feb. 18, 1999, at Later Years Adult Family Home.
She was born Nov. 21, 1906, in Tacoma to Arthur and Etta (Nash) Pryor. She was raised and educated in Tacoma, graduating from Lincoln High School in 1924.
On Aug. 13, 1925, she married
Robert C. Marshall. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Mrs. Marshall was a homemaker. She was a member of McKinley Park Christian Church and the White Clover Chapter 31 Order of Eastern Star, in Tacoma.
Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Copenhaver of Leavenworth and Patricia Turner of Bremerton; a son, Charles of Beaverton, Ore.; a brother, Kenneth Pryor of Huntington Harbor, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at McKinley Park Christian Church, 860 E 38th St., Tacoma.

Raymond Foster
Former 30-year Port Orchard resident Raymond "Scott" Foster, 80, of Bellingham died Feb. 18, 1999, at his home.
He was born April 7, 1918, in Sumner to John and Ivy (Bock) Foster. He was raised in Sumner, and graduated from Sumner High School in 1935. He attended Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.
Mr. Foster served in the Navy from 1936 to 1966, attaining the rank of chief warrant officer 4. He served aboard various ships in communications and electronics.
He was awarded the Navy Unit Commendation, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Area Service Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Service Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Navy Occupation Service Medal, China Service Medal and the Philippine Liberation medal.
Following retirement from the Navy, he worked at Tacoma Boat, retiring after 10 years of service.
On April 24, 1943, he married
Jerry Marie Cassedy in Monterey, Calif. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Myea Davis of Bellingham and JoAnne Foster; two grandchildren, Wayne Davis of Rumford, Maine, and Connie Raezer of Lacey; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2669, Port Orchard Eagles, Yorktown CV-5 Club, Bellingham Senior Activities Center, Premier Club at Nooksack River Casino and the American Battleship Association. He also was a bingo member at Big Brothers and Big Sisters Club in Bellingham and at the Ferndale Band Boosters Club.
There will be no service. Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.

Wayne Koehler
Wayne Eldon Koehler, 72, of Bremerton died Feb. 19, 1999, in Tacoma.
He was born Feb. 23, 1926, in Topeka, Kan., to Russel J. and Elizabeth M. (Foley) Koehler. When he was in the 11th grade he moved to Camas, where he graduated from high school.
On June 18, 1955, he married
Shirley E. Smith.
Mr. Koehler served in the Navy and worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for more than 30 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Debbie Glenn of Bremerton; a sister, Carolyn Scholl of Bakersfield, Calif., a brother, Wilton of Topeka; and two grandchildren.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Forest Lawn cemetery. A reception will follow at Manette Community Church.

Gordon Anderson
Gordon Robert Anderson, 77, of Bremerton died Feb. 20, 1999, at Forest Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born Nov. 9, 1921, in East Stanwood to Johannes G. and Ellen A. (Ostrom) Anderson.
He was raised in Stanwood, graduating from Mount Vernon High School in 1940.
Mr. Anderson served in the Army from 1944 to 1946, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater of Operations with the 375th Transportation Corps, Harbor Craft Company. He was a crew member of a floating crane, stationed in Manila Harbor, Philippine Islands.
He received the Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal with one bronze star.
Mr. Anderson later worked as a pipefitter and design engineer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of the American Legion.
On Sept. 12, 1952, he married
Lorraine M. Goldsworthy at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Michael of Bainbridge Island and Stephen of Belfair; a daughter, Kathleen M. Anderson of Bremerton; a brother, Roy of Mount Vernon; three sisters, Nina Chandler of Mount Vernon, Jean Strong of Bremerton, and Doris Twelt of Bellingham; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Kendra and Hanna.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Private interment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.

Jessie Kippo
Jessie Myrtle Kippo, 89, of Tacoma died Feb. 19, 1999, at Regency in Tacoma.
She was born Dec. 31, 1909, in Silverton, Ore.
She attended Bremerton schools, graduating from high school there.
Mrs. Kippo was a homemaker.
Her husband, John F. Kippo, died in 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Dunbar of Auburn and Karen Breed of Mossy Rock; a sister, Bessie Kippo of Bremerton; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Charles Bush
Charles Edward Bush, 57, of Port Orchard died Feb. 18, 1999, of a heart attack.
He was born Jan. 13, 1942, in Oviedo, Fla., to Evelyn and Benjamine Bush.
He served in the Navy from 1960 to 1962 and retired after 27 years as a self-employed long-haul truck driver.
On Nov. 6, 1997, he married
Sandra Van Buskirk in Reno, Nev.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, George of Robinsville, N.C., and Charles Edward; three stepsons, Anthony Van Buskirk of Port Orchard, James Kilby of Oregon and Edwin Morrow of Bremerton; two daughters, Mary Hollaway of North Carolina and Sheila Skeens of Port Orchard; two brothers, Cecil of Fresno, Calif., and Jessie Bush of Doris, Calif.; three sisters, Mary Huffman of Doris, Calif., Patsy Bender of Port Orchard, and Shirley of Kennewick; and 19 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, John Bush.

Waldemar Henning
Waldemar "Wally" Henning, 82, of Bremerton died Feb. 19, 1999, in Bremerton.
He was born May 19, 1916, to Paul Bertha (Fiedler) Henning. He was raised in Kimball, Wis.
On Sept. 27, 1944, he married
Teresa Conterio.
Mr. Henning served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 during the Italian Campaign in the Anzio Fifth Army. He received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Ribbon. He later worked at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for 25 years, retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, third and fourth degree; the Veterasn of Foreign Wars; the Eagles; the Disabled American Veterans; the Sons of Italy; and was a eucharistic minister at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn Ries of Bremerton, Roberta Walkenhorst of Hazelwood, Mo., and Louise Caristi of Norfolk, Va.; a brother, Paul Henning of Burley, Wis.; six grandchildren, Teresa, Lisa, Dawn, Michael, Alycia and Anthony; and three great-grandchildren.
Rosary recitation and visitation will start at 11 a.m. Thursday, with a funeral service at noon, both at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Entombment will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Miller Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knights of Columbus charities or to Saint Vincent de Paul.
Ray Moreau
Ray Edward Moreau, 71, of Port Orchard died of cancer Feb. 9, 1999, at his home.
He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Ladysmith, Wis., to Elmer and Alice (Pokel) Moreau. He was raised and educated in Port Orchard, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1946.
On March 1, 1952, he married
Joyce Norman in Port Orchard.
Mr. Moreau served in the Army in Korea during World War II. He was a technician fifth grade, regular Army. He later worked in the sheet metal shop at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1983 with 35 years in civil service.
He was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Beverly Pickard and Marilyn Buckner; three sisters, Shirley Ambrose and Janet Elledge, both of Issaquah and Carol Tiedemann of Brier; and two grandchildren, Ryan Pickard of Bremerton and Jesse Buckner of Port Orchard.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rill Chapel.
