Wilma Boad
Wilma R. Boad, 64, of Olalla, died Feb 2, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born June 23, 1934, in Lusk, Wyo., to Willis G. and Ruth Gatzemeyer Mansfield. She moved to Port Orchard in January 1951, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1952.
In 1955, she married
Ben E. Boad in Bremerton.
Mrs. Boad retired from the Naval Supply Center, Bremerton, in 1987, after an extensive and varied career in civil service.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gig Harbor, and was active in the Pine Lake Estates Community Club.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert of Port Orchard; two daughters, Bev Milovac of Port Orchard and Nadene Gonzalez of Las Vegas; two brothers, Frank Mansfield of Lynden and Clifford Mansfield of Olympia; four sisters, Grace Horton of Bremerton, Ethel Bethje of Longview, Charlotte Cummings of Port Orchard and Barbara Mansfield of Olalla; and five grandchildren, Kevin Milovac, Hollie Boad, and Melina, Ismael and Maria Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester LeRoy; and a sister, Harriett Bethje.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist of Gig Harbor, 7400 Pioneer Way, with a reception immediately following.
Arrangements are by Haven of Rest, Gig Harbor.
Mildred Milroy
Mildred Agnes Milroy, 90, of Bremerton died Feb. 3, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born May 25, 1908, in Garden City, S.D. She was raised and educated in Quilcene, graduating from Quilcene High School in 1925.
On June 21, 1975, she married
John Milroy in Quilcene.
Mrs. Milroy was a member of the Eastern Star and the Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Peggy Pecetti of Reno, Nev., and Stella Anderson of Quilcene; a brother, Clifford Bailey of Sequim; five grandchildren, Laurie West, Lance Pecetti, Camilla Green, Bill Middleton and Michael Clifton; and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. today and a funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, both at Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home in Bremerton.
Memorials may be made to the Olympic Peninsula Kidney Center in memory of Mildred Milroy, 2740 Clare Ave., Bremerton, WA 98310.
Harold Baker
Former Port Orchard City Councilman and Kitsap County deputy auditor Harold G. Baker, 92, of Port Orchard died Feb. 1, 1999, at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1906, in Spokane to William and Maude (Welch) Baker. He was raised and educated in Port Orchard, graduating from South Kitsap High School in 1925. He later attended Washington State University in Pullman.
On Jan. 27, 1934, he married
Olga Sophia Olson in Tacoma. She preceded him in death in October of last year.
Mr. Baker was in the Merchant Marines and was a sheetmetal worker at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1945. He also served for 20 years as the deputy auditor for Kitsap County, retiring in 1968.
He was a member of the State Board of Education for 20 years, a Port Orchard City Councilman in the 1950s, a former P.U.D. member and a member of the Port Orchard Kiwanis.
Survivors include his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Signe Bates of Port Orchard; and brother-in-law Perry Orseth of Poulsbo.
There will be no services. Inurnment will be at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Edna Carson
Edna Alice Carson, 89, of Bremerton died Feb. 2, 1999, at Bremerton Convalescent Center.
She was born July 17, 1909, in Brigham City, Utah, to Edgar and Jeannette (Nelson) Olson. She graduated from Rock Springs High School in Wyoming in 1929.
On Aug. 11, 1929, she married
Dwight Joseph Carson in Farson, Wyo. They moved to Bremerton in 1940. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Mrs. Carson worked as a secretary and personnel clerk with the supply and comptroller department at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1969.
She was a member of the LDS Church, Bremerton Second Ward, and the Sons of Norway Oslo 35.
Survivors include a son, Robert of Auburn; a daughter, Marva Connelly of Bremerton; a brother, Fred of Bremerton; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Doyle; and a grandchild, Robert Carson Jr.
Arrangements are under the direction of Miller Woodlawn Funeral Home.
Mae Graham
Longtime Bremerton resident Mae A. Graham, 86, died Feb. 3, 1999, at Martha and Mary Nursing Home in Poulsbo.
She was born Dec. 3, 1912, in Alberta, Canada, to Earl and Viola (Reick) Carter. She moved with her family at 6 months of age to Bremerton, where she resided until 1993.
On May 26, 1940, she married
Loren Graham in Bremerton. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Mrs. Graham and her husband owned and operated Graham's Malt Shop on Pacific Avenue in Bremerton from 1940 to 1954. In 1956, they relocated to Kitsap Lake and opened Graham's Drive In. In 1978, they retired from restaurant management, but continued to live in the Kitsap Lake area until a stroke confined her to nursing home care in 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Dianne Mergler of Poulsbo; and two grandchildren, Paul Bruder of Bremerton and David Bruder of Seattle.
At her request, no services will be conducted.

Edward Dano
Edward Charles Dano, 67, of Poulsbo died Jan. 28, 1999, at his home.
He was born March 11, 1931, in Pequat Lakes, Minn., to William and Bertha (Zubrennan) Dano.
Mr. Dano served in the Army. He later worked in torpedo ordnance.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Ann (Enos) Dano; his mother; three sons, Bobby of Denver, and Billy and Chuck, both of Poulsbo; two daughters, Ginger Goit and Diane Griffith, both of Port Orchard; a sister, Irene Rodgers of Poulsbo; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no services.
Interment will be at Mountain View cemetery, Poulsbo.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Lillian Tamura
Lillian D. Tamura, 48, of Port Orchard died Feb. 2, 1999, at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.
She was born May 7, 1950, in San Francisco to Lyman and Hana Dong. She was raised and educated in Sacramento, Calif.
On Sept. 5, 1976, she married
Ernest Tamura in Carson City, Nev.
Mrs. Tamura worked at True Value in Belfair. She was also a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts.
Survivors include her husband; her mother of Sacramento; a daughter, Elizabeth of Port Orchard; two brothers, Peter and John, both of Sacramento; and two sisters, Betty and Anna, both of Sacramento.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at Rill Chapel.

Patrick Murphy
Patrick Haines Murphy, 67, of Port Orchard died Jan. 30, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1932, in Los Angeles.
Mr. Murphy served in the Navy for 22 years. He later worked as a pipefitter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard until his retirement in 1988.
Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Murphy; a son, Jack of Port Orchard; a daughter, Pamela of Port Orchard; and three grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew and Sarah Hike, all of Port Orchard. He was preceded in death by a son, Patrick.
A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Rill Chapel.

Laura King
Longtime Bremerton resident Laura Pauline King, 96, died Feb. 1, 1999.
She was born April 28, 1902, in Reeder's Mill, Iowa. She was raised and educated in Reeder's Mill.
In April of 1922, she married
James E. King in Dennison, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1965.
Mrs. King was a self-taught artist. When she was 88, her work went on display locally.
She was a longtime member of the Unity Church in Bremerton.
Survivors include a son, Ben of Hawaii; a daughter, Virginia Maroney of Seattle; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 4 and 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 5, with a funeral service following at 2 p.m., all at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Interment will follow at Forest Lawn cemetery.
