Mary Kline
Mary Lou Kline, 58, of Poulsbo died Feb. 27, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Oct. 7, 1940, in Port Gamble to Leonard and Marjorie Kallio.
She was raised in North Kitsap, graduating from Central Kitsap High School.
Mrs. Kline was a homemaker. She also worked at the Poulsbo Mortuary for a short time. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo.
Survivors include her mother, Marjorie Norton of Benton City; three sons, Todd of Roseville, Calif., Mark of Arizona City, Ariz., and Paul of Broomfield, Colo.; and two granddaughters. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Maureen Kline, in 1993.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church in Poulsbo. Inurnment will be at 2:30 p.m. at the church cemetery. Arrangements are by Poulsbo Mortuary, "The Stone Chapel."
William Entrekin
William "Bill" Entrekin, 80, of Port Orchard died after a lengthy illness March 1, 1999, at Cottesmore of Life Care in Gig Harbor.
He was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Easley, S.D., to Thompson and Amanda (Thompson) Entrekin. He was raised in Easley, graduating from Easley High School in 1937.
On May 22, 1945, he married
Betty Young in Dodge City, Kan.
Mr. Entrekin served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was discharged in 1945. He managed Cassel's Variety Store in Easley for two years before making shirts and managing the shipping and receiving department for the next 19 years at Lanier Manufacturing.
He then managed LaQuinta Inns, working together with his wife. He retired in 1988, after more than 16 years with the company. He was a member of the Lions Club in Easley.
Survivors include his wife; and a daughter, Caroline Cordrey of Port Orchard. He was preceded in death by a son, Phil, in 1988.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at South Kitsap Presbyterian Church. Inurnment will be at Maplewood cemetery in Harrison, Ark. Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.

Charles Sturge
Charles Ransom Sturge, 77, died Dec. 29, 1998, at Puget Sound Health Care Center in Olympia.
He was born Feb. 4, 1921, in Syracuse, N.Y., to Ward and Beatrice (Josleyn) Sturge.
He attended school in New York, and received his Ph.D. in Olympia in 1985.
Mr. Sturge served in the Army during World War II. He was discharged in 1946.
He worked at Naval Torpedo Station Keyport and the Naval Submarine Base Bangor as a civil service employee for 20 years, retiring in 1981.
Mr. Sturge was a member of Boy Scouts, Parents without Partners and various senior citizen groups.
He pioneered the use of peer counseling for youth in Washington state. He was the author of "Counseling Principles, " "Emotional First Aid" and "How to Create Wealth And Beauty."
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer J. Weber of Green Bay, Wis., Sally B. Murphy of Bemiji, Minn., and Cynthia Walrath Alexander Salayda of Fayetteville, N.Y.; a sister, Norma Beatrice Sturge Zachary of Vernon, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
No service will be conducted.

Elza Bryant
Elza Bryant, 75, of Olalla died Feb. 27, 1999, in Gig Harbor.
Mr. Bryant was a veteran of World War II. He later worked as a dairy farmer and at Boise Cascade in Steilacoom.
He was a member of Olalla Bible Church; a 50-year member of the Washington State Grange, serving as deputy state master from 1971 to 1983, and special deputy from 1983 to 1990, and as the past master of the Gig Harbor Grange and the Peninsula Pomona. He also was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Dorothy; four sons, Thomas of Tacoma, James of Olalla, David of Spanaway and William of Gig Harbor; a daughter, Elizabeth Richmond of Olalla; two sisters, Esther Miller of Ukiah, Calif., and Nelda Gardner of Porterville, Calif.; a brother, Earle Collins of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Olalla Bible Church, 13053 Olalla Valley Road. Interment
will be at Haven of Rest cemetery in Gig Harbor.
Nellie Harrington
Nellie A. (Roadruck) Harrington, 81, of Bremerton died Feb. 26, 1999, in Bremerton.
She was born June 21, 1917, to Claude and Rosetta (George) Taylor in Hutchinson, Kan.
On Aug. 19, 1944, she married
George S. Harrington.
During World War II, she worked for Cessna Aircraft and the Naval Ammunition Depot in Bremerton. She then worked for 42 years as a self-employed cosmetologist, retiring in 1993.
Mrs. Harrington was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Aurilla Rebekah Lodge 133.
Survivors include two sons, Lonnie of Federal Way and M. Harrington of Bremerton; a daughter, Mary Meigs of Burley; nine grandchildren, Nellianna Meigs of Bremerton; Sara, Gavin, and Alyssa Meigs of Burley, David Harrington of Sumner, Danny Harrington of Mount Vernon, Debbie Carlstrom of Tacoma, Dennis Harrington of Gresham, Ore., and Diana Saunders of Federal Way; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a son, Charles Fredrick Hester.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Westpark Christian Church. Interment
will be at West Hills Memorial Park in Yakima.

Connie Stoner
Connie A. Stoner, 73, of Port Orchard died Feb. 28, 1999, at her home.
She was born Feb. 26, 1926, in the Philippines, where she was raised.
In 1948, she married
Bill Stoner. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1977.
Survivors include two sons, Richard of Gig Harbor and Bill of Port Orchard; three daughters, Jane Mailloux of Bristol, Conn., Kay Stoner of Port Orchard, and Linda Cantus of Gig Harbor; two brothers and two sisters, all of the Philippines; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Lewis Funeral Chapel. Interment
will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.

Elwood Fryer
Former Poulsbo resident Elwood Fryer, 84, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died Feb. 20, 1999, at IHS At Parkmoor, in Colorado Springs.
He was born Nov. 25, 1914, in Seattle. He lived in Poulsbo from 1970 to 1998.
On Sept. 14, 1938, he married
Eunice R. Klatt.
Mr. Fryer had worked for the Department of Agriculture as a specialist.
He became a master Mason on June 29, 1954. He was a member of the Warren G. Harding Lodge 280 in Poulsbo, and served as master of the lodge in 1986. He was a 32nd-degree Mason, and served in many Masonic organizations including Order of the Eastern Star; The Royal Order of Scotland; Order of the Amaranth; and The York Rite (Knights Templar). He also served as a grandfather to Job's Daughters (Bethel 20).
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Shirley Parr and Bonnie E. Nietz; a brother, Douglass; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was Feb. 24 at the Manitou Lodge in Manitou, Colo.
Arrangements were under the direction of Mountain View Mortuary in Colorado Springs.
Leonard White
Leonard O. White, 92, of Bremerton died March 1, 1999, in Bremerton.
He was born July 31, 1906, in Clark County, Ala., to William W. and Nanny (Morris) White. He was raised in Walker Springs, Ala.
He served in the Army from 1942 to 1944 as a medic.
Mr. White was a self-employed farmer, retiring in 1996.
Survivors include a son, Leonard O. White Jr. of Crosby, Texas; a daughter, Mary Lou Moyer of Belfair; two sisters, Marie Hopkins of Spanish Fort, Ala., and Margaret Langdon of Metaririe, La.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service and interment will be at Perrish Chapel cemetery in Alma, Ala.
Flora Kirwan
Flora Elma (Biatella) Westrum Kirwan, 84, of Gig Harbor died Feb. 16, 1999, in Port Orchard.
She was born Oct. 19, 1914, in Telluride, Colo. She moved to Burley when she was 12 and graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1933.
She owned and operated Flora's Tavern in Purdy from the early 1940s until her retirement in 1975.
Mrs. Kirwan was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary in Port Orchard; a longtime member of both the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Penn Ants Cootiettes; and a charter member of Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig Harbor.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Hadfield of Port Orchard; a son, Frank Westrum of Olympia; and two grandchildren, Kristen Hadfield and Benjamin Westrum.
A memorial service honoring Flora's life will be at noon Saturday at Chapel Hill Presbyterian Church in Gig Harbor.
