Christine Wooldridge
Christine (Tena) DeHoet Wooldridge, 51, of Port Orchard died of complications of multiple sclerosis April 25, 1999.
She was born May 25, 1947, in Bremerton to Herbert L. and Alma June (Harris) DeHoet. She was raised in Gorst. She graduated from Ingraham High School in Seattle in 1965.
Mrs. Wooldridge served in the Army from 1967 to 1969, achieving the rank of E-4. She was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. She later worked for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for eight years.
Survivors include three sisters, Nancy Scott of Port Orchard; Sharon Townsend of Nile, Wash.; and Trudy Shelton of Edmonds.
No services are scheduled.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Candice Tausch
Candice Ann Tausch, 46, of Port Orchard died April 14, 1999, at the University of Washington Hospital in Seattle.
She was born Nov. 28, 1952, in Redding, Calif. She spent her early years in Trinity Center, Calif., and graduated from Trinity High School in Weaverville, Calif.
She lived with her husband in Coffee Creek, Calif., until 1987, when they moved to Gig Harbor and then to Port Orchard five years ago. She and her husband own and operate the Alpine Pacific Construction Co.
She is survived by her husband, Michael of Port Orchard; her parents, Fred and Eunice Anderson of Trinity Center; two daughters, Kristi Tausch of Olalla and Kerri Wittman of Gig Harbor; two brothers, Fred Anderson Jr. of Coffee Creek and Jim Johnson of Key West, Fla.; and two sisters, Denise Crotto of Gig Harbor and Sandy Morris of Oakdale, Calif.
A graveside service was Saturday in the Trinity Center-Coffee Creek cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of McDonald-Files Chapel in Weaverville, Calif.
Rose Brose
Rose Brose, 87, of Port Orchard died April 23, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Aug. 15, 1911, in Forman, N.D., to Peter Henry and Catherine (Schmidt) Loch. She was raised and educated in Pinewood, Minn.
On March 16, 1931, she married
Ted Brose Sr. in Bemidji, Minn.
Mrs. Brose was a homemaker. She was a member of Elim Lutheran Church.
Survivors include three sons, Orville of Republic, Ted Jr. of Port Orchard and LeRoy of Merrill, Wis.; two daughters, Randi Barrie of Port Orchard and Beverly Holloway of Witchita Falls, Texas; five brothers, Frank and Isadore Loch, both of Bemidji, and Jim, Al and Andy Loch, all of Port Orchard; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 and by her daughter, Hjordis Ames.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rill Chapel. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Elim Lutheran Church, with interment at Sunset Lane cemetery.

Hazel Love
Hazel Love, 92, of Bremerton died April 22, 1999, in Bremerton.
She was born July 16, 1906, in Liverpool, England, to Henry and Elizabeth (Wilson) Robinson. She was raised and educated in England.
Mrs. Love came to the United States in 1956. She lived in San Jose, Calif., until 1996, when she moved to Washington state.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Myrtle Mathurin of Bremerton and Betty Welch of Kingston; three grandchildren, Barry Page and Sandra Potts, both of San Jose, and Bruce McLaren of Los Gatos, Calif.; and one great-grandchild.
At her request, there will be no services.
Myron Gusa
Longtime Kitsap County resident Myron "Mike" E. Gusa, 88, died April 23, 1999.
He was born Oct. 14, 1910, in Everett.
Mr. Gusa served in the Navy from 1927 to 1930. He later worked as a pipefitter and lead man at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a life member of the Masonic (Charleston) Lodge 269 and a life member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Bremerton.
Survivors include a son, Ronald of Lynnwood; a daughter, Donna (Harvey) Hubert of Kitsap County; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Cremation services are provided by Cremation Society Northwest in Lynnwood.
Charlene Matson
Charlene F. Matson, 72, a resident of Olalla for the past 60 years, died April 26, 1999.
She was born July 8, 1926, in Wilmington, Calif.
Mrs. Matson was a member of the Sons of Norway Oslo Lodge 2-35 and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Terry, of Olalla.
At her request, there will be no services.
Inurnment will be at Haven of Rest Memorial Park.
Edward Van Dorin
Edward Junior Van Dorin, 73, of Bremerton died April 24, 1999, of heart failure at his home.
He was born Nov. 14, 1925, in Salem, Iowa, to Edward M. and Delia (Werner) Van Dorin. He was raised and educated in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa.
Mr. Van Dorin served in the Marine Corps from 1944 to 1946 and in the Navy from 1950 to 1954.
As a Marine, he received his rifle marksman status in 1944, and was promoted to the rank of sergeant in 1946.
While in the Navy, he served as a boatswain's mate third class, taking part in the defense of Engebi Island and other Korean War action. He received 13 awards, including the Good Conduct Medal.
After leaving the service, he worked as a truck driver, owned Princess Hair Salon in Bremerton and managed a pharmacy in San Diego. He retired in 1986.
He and his wife, Irma, were married
in 1964 in Sand Point, Idaho.
He was a member of bowling leagues at West Park and Hi-Joy bowling lanes. He also was a member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Charles Norgaard of Auburn and William Norgaard of Port Orchard; two daughters, Jane Coats and Fern Schoneman, both of Bremerton; and 11 grandchildren, Stephanie Heyn, Crystal Kantor, Julie Schoneman, William Norgaard, Debbie Strother, Trenna Ireland, Shelly Herlbert, Ronnie Coats, Charlene, Kimberly and Jeannie; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Rutherford; two brothers, Willard and Newton; and three sisters, Florence Parker and Bessie of Iowa and Mildred Stanley of Colorado.
A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Tahoma National cemetery near Auburn. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. at American Legion Post 68.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kitsap Cremation and Burial Society.
James Moseman
James "Jim" Lee Moseman, 52, of Port Orchard died April 26, 1999, at his home.
He was born Jan. 4, 1947, in Lincoln, Neb., to Verne and Lois (Ehlers) Moseman. He was raised in Grand Island, Neb., graduating from Grand Island High School and later the University of Nebraska in Lincoln.
Mr. Moseman served in the Navy for six years on the aircraft carrier USS Constellation in Vietnam. Most recently, he worked as an artist and an architect.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Verne and Kathryn Moseman; one brother, Gary of Great Falls, Mont.; and one sister, Joanne Voelker of Lincoln, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois, and his sister, Janet Hinman.
Services will be in Grand Island. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel.
Margaret Painter
Former Kitsap County resident Margaret (Von Hoene) (Rose) Painter, 87, died April 26, 1999.
She was born June 18, 1911, in Seattle. She graduated from Central College and taught school, first in Tracyton and later in Pierce County.
She and her husband, Bruce, were married
Aug. 19, 1961, in Tacoma.
Survivors include her husband, of Eatonville; a son, Bob of Graham; a daughter, Joyce Potts of Pennsylvania; a sister, Frances Von Hoene of Bremerton; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bremerton. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Eatonville.
Memorials may be made to United Methodist Church in Eatonville or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Elmine Ricks
Elmine Lydia Ricks, 95, of Bremerton died April 24, 1999, at Belmont Terrace Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 7, 1904, in Maysville, Okla., to Jesse and Emma (Sample) Yount. She was raised in Maysville and in Missouri. She graduated from Maysville High School in 1922. She then attended business college in Oklahoma City.
In 1940, she married
Walter Ricks. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ricks worked at a dry goods store in Maysville following her graduation from business college. She was later employed for a time at the Manette post office.
She was an active member of the Manette Community Church, a member of the Manette Historical Society and the Kitsap Homemakers, and helped to start the Chrysanthemum Society.
She is survived by her niece, Barbara Duryea of Poulsbo. She also was preceded in death by a son, Donald, in February.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Lewis Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, also at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Interment will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
