Faye Mulliner
Faye McCarrey Mulliner, 84, of Bremerton died of natural causes April 18, 1999, in Gig Harbor.
She was born Dec. 30, 1914, in Richmond, Utah, to James Lewis and Alice Maiben (Squires) McCarrey. She was raised in Richmond, graduating from Richmond High School in 1932. She later attended the University of Utah.
On Sept. 3, 1941, she married
Donald W. Mulliner at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Mulliner was a volunteer for Harrison Hospital, the Bremerton Symphony, the American Heart Association, the PTA, William Penn Elementary and Holy Cross Hospital.
Survivors include two sons, Scott and Robert, both of Bremerton; two daughters, Mary Ann Bronson of Blanding, Utah, and Jane Mulliner Wiseman of Bremerton; a brother, Rulon of Idaho Falls, Idaho; a sister, Marion Yeomans of North Miami Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Noelle Bronson of Highland, Utah, Jini Robertson of Orem, Utah, Adam Bronson of Highland and Katherine Mulliner Wiseman of Bremerton. She was preceded in death by a son, John Michael.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Richard Feenstra
Richard Allan Feenstra, 57, of Yakima died of heart disease April 16, 1999, at his home.
He was born in Woodinville.
He worked as an electrician with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 46.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Ann Feenstra of Yakima; two daughters, Jennifer Ann of Poulsbo and Robin Eyster of Roy, Utah; and his half-brother, Mike of Everett.
No services will be conducted.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Orthopedic Hospital in Seattle.
MicaelLei Menchaca
Former South Kitsap High student MicaelLei Menchaca, 19, died April 15, 1999, in Moxee.
She was born Jan. 12, 1980, in Bellingham to Miguel and Lynette (DeJong) Menchaca. In 1991, the family moved to the Lakebay area, and she attended South Kitsap High School.
For the past year, she had lived in the Yakima area and worked for Wendy's.
Survivors include her parents of Home; her fiance, Greg Brown of Moxee; a brother, Carlos of Home; two sisters, Nikki of Oakville and LeAnn of Home; and her grandparents, Jose Menchaca and Sam and Ann DeJong, all of Lynden.
A service was conducted at Gillies Funeral Home Chapel.
A wake celebrating MicaelLei's life will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Manchester State Park.
Bernice Middlebrook
Longtime Port Orchard resident Bernice Mary Middlebrook, 80, died April 17, 1999.
She was born Dec. 20, 1918, in Minnesota.
Mrs. Middlebrook was a homemaker.
She also was a member of the Kitsap Senior Quilters.
Survivors include a son, Floyd of Port Orchard; a daughter, Robin Smith of Port Orchard; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd K. Middlebrook Sr., and a daughter, Linda Mary Young.
At her request, no service will be conducted.

Ruth Danskin
Ruth Inez Danskin, 78, of Bremerton died April 7, 1999, at Belmont Terrace Convalescent Center.
She was born Aug. 3, 1920, in Bremerton to Harry and Ruth (Hilstad) Johnson. She was raised in Bremerton, graduating from Silverdale High School in 1938.
Mrs. Danskin worked for Windermere Realty in Silverdale for 10 years.
She was actively involved in church work in Kitsap County, most recently with Hope Lutheran Ministries in Silverdale.
Survivors include a son, Jerry of Bremerton; a daughter, Julie De Lis of Spokane; two stepsons, Tom and Jon; and three stepdaughters, Julia and Debra Danskin and Marilyn Korver; a brother, Harry of Tacoma; a sister, Nancy Burke of Bremerton; six grandchildren, Bob and Brian Danskin, Jodi Harster, Aaron De Lis, and Amy and Ann Marie De Lis; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillcrest Assembly of God in Bremerton.

Beatrice Lockhart
Beatrice Ethel Lockhart, 91, of Bremerton died April 18, 1999, at Crista Shores in Silverdale.
She was born Oct. 22, 1907, in Winthrop, Wash., to Daniel and Lulu (Hawkins) LaRue. She was raised and educated in Winthrop, residing there until age 20.
In 1931, she married
James L. Englar in Winthrop. He preceded her in death in 1952. In 1963, she married
Charles Lockhart. He preceded her in death in 1982.
Survivors include two sons, Vic Englar of Bremerton and Orville Englar of Cle Elum; a daughter, Betty Bowers of Portland, Ore.; a brother, Jack of Carmichael, Calif.; a sister, Mayme Montgomery of Federal Way; three grandchildren, Douglas and Ron Bowers, and Ray Englar; and one great-grandchild.
At the family's request, there will be no service.
Cremation is by Cherry Grove Crematory, with arrangements by Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Kathleen Sturgeon
Kathleen B. Sturgeon, 65, of Bremerton died April 16, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Jan. 12, 1934, in Astoria, Ore., to Daniel and Kaarina E. (Nayho) Turpeinen. She was raised in Astoria.
On March 20, 1958, she married
William S. Sturgeon in Bellingham. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Mrs. Sturgeon worked as an operator and supervisor at Pacific Northwest Bell until 1975. Most recently, she worked as a medical records clerk for 19 years at Kitsap Physicians Service.
She was a member of Lincoln Avenue Bible Church.
Survivors include a son, Jack Silver of Bremerton; two daughters, Kathi Sturgeon of Elk Grove, Calif., and Theresa Huff of Marysville; five brothers, Robert and John, both of McMinnville, Ore., Rudy of Vancouver, Wash., Ray of Hayward, Calif., and Carlos of Portland, Ore.; a sister, Mary of Salem, Ore.; and one grandchild, Emma Kathleen Huff of Marysville. She was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Jenkins.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Lincoln Avenue Bible Church. Interment
will be at Miller-Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Samantha Burgess
Samantha Kay Burgess, 9, of Port Orchard died April 19, 1999, at her home.
She was born March 6, 1990, in San Antonio to Nile E. Burgess and Billie (Ellis) Stephens. She had lived in Port Orchard for more than a year, attending school at Orchard Heights Elementary in Port Orchard.
Survivors include her father and stepmother, Nile and Gina Burgess of Maryland; her mother and stepfather, Billie and James Stephens of Port Orchard; two brothers, Matthew Burgess of Port Orchard and Kelly Stephens of Anchorage, Alaska; three sisters, Amber of Port Orchard and Gabrielle and Kennedy, both of Maryland; her paternal grandmother, Emily Chipps of Bowie, Md.; her paternal grandfather, Charles Burgess of West Virginia; her paternal stepmother, Gloria Duchouquette of El Paso, Texas; her paternal great-grandmother, Mary Conelly of Ohio; and her maternal great-grandmother, Mabel William of Missouri.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Lenoy Duda
Lenoy Alton Duda, 73, of Bremerton died of respiratory failure April 20, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
He was born Dec. 11, 1925, in Neilsville, Wis., to Joseph and Edith (Timerson) Duda. He was raised and educated in Neilsville.
Mr. Duda served in the Merchant Marine during World War II in the Pacific and Atlantic theaters. He later worked for 29 years as Shop 21 supervisor at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, retiring in 1978.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 1181 and the VFW Post 68.
Survivors include a son, Richard of Bremerton; two daughters, Sandra Bates of Tacoma and Edie Wood of Port Orchard; a sister, Audrey Lenz of Greenwood, Wis.; four grandchildren, Teresa Matson of Roy, and Richelle Faulkner and Jeremy Wood, both of Port Orchard, and Stacey McConnell of Poulsbo; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnifred Ellen (Enhelder) Duda, in 1995 and by a brother, Donald.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday with a funeral service immediately following, both at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. Interment
will be at Forest Lawn cemetery.
A reception will follow a graveside service at Elks Lodge 1181.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Michael Hrynio
Michael Hrynio, 79, of Port Orchard died April 17, 1999, at his home.
He was born on Oct. 27, 1919, in Philadelphia.
He married
Millie Dunauskas in Philadelphia on Nov. 29, 1941.
He was in the Navy from 1940 to 1946, then worked as an electronics technician for 27 years, retiring in the mid-1980s.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Michael, of Sugar Hill, N. H.; a daughter, Christina Hrynio of Port Orchard; and a brother, Peter of Runnemede, N.J.
There will be no service. Arrangements are by Pendleton-Gilchrist at Rill Chapel in Port Orchard.
