Stella Baker
Stella Baker, 60, of Port Orchard died of cancer April 10, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Feb. 23, 1939, in San Gabriel, Calif. She was raised in Rosemead, Calif., graduating from Mark Kepel High School in 1958.
On May 29, 1987, she married
George Baker in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband; her mother; a son, Gilbert Boyle of Biloxi, Miss.; two daughters, Rose and Coleen Boyle, both of Redlands, Calif.; five brothers, Louis, John, Edward, Henry and Alfred Calderon, all of California; two sisters, Mary Ann Calderon and Helen Almanza, both of California; and three grandchildren, Shannon Boyle of Biloxi, and Sean and Krista Boyle, both of Redlands.
A private memorial service will be conducted.
Doreen Camper
Doreen Mae Camper, 90, of Bremerton died April 8, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born Feb. 22, 1909, in Rosland, British Columbia.
Mrs. Camper was a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Marvin of San Mateo, Calif.; a daughter, Laura Vogt of Bainbridge Island; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nat Camper in 1988.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Port Madison Kane cemetery on Bainbridge Island, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. at the Poulsbo Church of the Nazarene.
Arrangements are under the direction of Tuell-McKee Funeral Home.

Jack Enevoldsen
Jack Enevoldsen, 65, of Bremerton died of cancer April 13, 1999, at Naval Hospital Bremerton.
He was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Hastings, Neb. He was raised in Billings, Mont., and graduated from Minatare High School in Minatare, Neb., in 1951.
On Nov. 28, 1954, he married
Janet Hughes in Chehalis.
Mr. Enevoldsen served in the Navy, enlisting in 1953 as an electronics technician. He progressed through the ranks as a chief petty officer, chief warrant officer (CWO-3) and retired as a lieutenant commander in 1987.
While in the Navy, he served with various afloat staffs, ships and shore billets in the Pacific Fleet, including Commander-in-Chief Pacific Fleet, Commander Third Fleet, Commander Amphibious Forces Seventh Fleet, USS Coral Sea and Naval Communications Station Hawaii. He was awarded three Good Conduct Medals, the Navy Achievement Medal with Combat "V", a Navy Unit Commendation, a Meritorious Unit Commendation with star, the National Defense Service Medal with star, the Vietnam Service Medal with seven stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal with star.
He was vice president and plank owner of the first U.S. scuba dive club in Pearl Harbor.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cathy Morton of Fairchild Air Force Base, Spokane; a sister, Sandra Wilkins of Ithaca, N.Y.; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrew Morton, both of Fairchild AFB. He was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky in 1975 and Andy in 1989.
An open house will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the family home. Interment
will be at a later date at the Punchbowl National cemetery in Hawaii.
Memorials may be made to the Bremerton chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Wayne Clarke
Wayne Michael Clarke, 48, of Port Orchard died of liver failure March 24, 1999, in Port Orchard.
He was born Sept. 9, 1950, in Bremerton to Myrtle Murray. He was raised in Port Orchard and Bremerton, graduating from West Bremerton High School in 1970.
Survivors include his mother; a daughter, Erika; a brother, James of Chehalis; and four sisters, Danette Szymkewicz of Poulsbo, Roberta Davis of Seabeck, and Sharon Roark and Delores Magnuson, both of Port Orchard.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Abundant Life Foursquare Church, 5610 Kitsap Way, Bremerton.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kitsap Cremation and Burial Society.

Frances Burley
Frances Camille Burley, 82, of Bremerton died April 11, 1999, at Harrison Hospital.
She was born March 4, 1917, in Shreveport, La. She was raised in Waynesboro, Miss.
In 1945, she moved to Bremerton and went to work at the Naval Ammunition Depot.
In 1952, she married
Evan Burley in Bremerton.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Ron of Port Orchard; five grandchildren, Ron Burley Jr., Darin Burley, Angela Landram and Jonathan and Erica Ecklund; and two great-grandchildren.
At the family's request, there will be no services. Cremation will be under the direction of Cherry Grove Crematory.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel.
Dorothy Buck
Dorothy Mauer Buck, 80, of Port Orchard died April 10, 1999, at Harbor House Care Center in Poulsbo.
She was born Aug. 13, 1918, in Gunnison, Colo., to W. Verne and Lucy (Newman) Mauer. She graduated in 1940 from Missouri University in Columbia, Mo.
Mrs. Buck worked as a model for Mademoiselle magazine from 1940 to 1942. She later worked as a master teacher for the Los Angeles school system for 23 years, retiring in 1964.
Survivors include a son, Gary of Cave Junction, Ore.; a brother, William Mauer of Port Orchard; a sister, Mary Jane Mauer Maloney of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and three grandchildren, Jim and Tahisah Buck, both of Oregon, and Patrick Buck of Montana. She was preceded in death by a son, James Norman Buck.
A private service will be conducted at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of Pendleton-Gilchrist Funeral Home at Rill Chapel.
Alfred Greenlaw
Kitsap County resident Alfred L. Greenlaw, 86, died April 10, 1999.
He was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Tacoma. He resided most of his life in Spanaway, and recently moved to the Bremerton area.
He was a retired millwright and a member of the Millmans Union.
Survivors include a son, Don of Silverdale; a daughter, Leah Smith of Port Ludlow; three sisters, Lorraine Caulfield of Chewelah, Wash., Lucille Nilson of Port Ludlow and Evelyn Hanson of Olympia; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Averill.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Dryer Mortuary. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, also at the mortuary. Interment
will be at Sumner cemetery.
Mary Norwood
Mary Boroughf Norwood, 86, of Bremerton died April 11, 1999, at her home.
She was born Jan. 29, 1913, in Sultan, Wash., to Wade and Meta (Alt) Boroughf. She was raised and educated in St. Louis, graduating from Soldan High School.
On Nov. 27, 1938, she married
Luther B. Norwood. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Norwood was a homemaker.
She was an avid volunteer and community worker. She served on the YMCA board of directors, was past president of the Bremerton Republican Women and was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary's Unit 68, where she served as Girls State chairman for many years.
She was the head usher for the Bremerton Symphony and a member of the Bremerton Symphony League. She also was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, of Bremerton.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Erickson of Bremerton, and a stepgrandchild, Christy Erickson of Bellevue.
At Mrs. Norwood's request, no services will be conducted. Friends may attend an open house in her memory from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at her daughter's home.

Erma Dill
Longtime Kitsap County resident Erma B. Dill, 81, died of a heart attack April 13, 1999, at her son's home.
She was born Feb. 2, 1918, in Albany, Ore., to Leon and Nettie (Williams) Rennels.
She was a member of the Kitsap Lake Extension Homemakers and was a 45-year member and past noble grand of Mystic Rebekah 168, International Order of Odd Fellows.
Survivors include three sons, Richard of Toledo, Wash., Thomas of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and Jerry Paulsen of Tacoma; a daughter, Carol Anderson of Lincoln, Neb.; a brother, Joel Rennels of Seattle; and a sister, Clara Fletcher of Lake Oswego, Ore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Dill, and a son, Robert Young.
Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Miller-Woodlawn Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be conducted.

Thelma Mahan
Thelma Lee Mahan, 67, of Bremerton died April 11, 1999, at her daughter's home in Fort Campbell, Ky.
She was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Stillwater, Okla., to Jesse O. Petty and Emma Lou Lakey. She was educated in Yakima.
On April 30, 1960, she married
Walter L. Mahan in Silverdale. He preceded her in death in 1979.
Survivors include a son, David of Fort Campbell; a daughter, Nancy Crumbliss of Fort Campbell; a brother, Kenneth Petty of Moxee, Wash.; four sisters, Ocela White, Genevieve Livengood, Anna Marts and Sherry Loll, all of Bremerton; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted in Fort Campbell.
