DONALD M. HARRIS
Donald M. Harris, of Camano Island, born in Nebraska Nov. 26, 1923, and moved to Fort Laramie, Wyoming as a child. The family moved to Shelby, Montana, where he graduated from high school. Don was a WWII veteran, serving in the XIX Corp, under General Bradley, in France, Belgium and Holland. After the war, he held several jobs and retired from the Milwaukie Railroad. Don made friends with everyone he met and touched the lives of many.
He is survived by his wife, Fran; four stepchildren, Dale, Gale, Debbie and Bob; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen and Maxine; brother Robert and their families. Internment was held at Tahoma National died Sat., June 7, 2003. She was death.
She was preceded in interment will be in the Silvana Valley View born Feb. 20, 1913, in Portland, OR. She completed her schooling through high school in that city. Then in 1931, she traveled north to Seattle where she enrolled at Seattle Pacific College.
Soon after her arrival in Seattle, she met a man who was to be the love and the unquenchable light of her life, Maurice Miller. They were born in Stanwood to pioneer parents Ole E. and Kirsti Wold Eide Feb. 1, 1911. He married Meredith Mitchell Dec. 30, 1939. They had three children: John, Richard and Kirsti. When the children were young, they moved to Petersburg. Lars became a successful businessman, owning and operating a lumber mill and a large freight dock in Petersburg. He is survived by one sibling, Ole Eide of Camano Island.
HENRY TORKELSON
Henry "Hank" W. Torkelson, of Stanwood, passed today from this life into the arms of the Savior He Loved. Henry was 86 years old. Henry is survived by his wife, Leah; his daughter, Ann Wilbur; his two sons, Bill and Peter Torkel-son; and four step-children, Don, Linda, Janice and Randy; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Henry served in the Seabee's and was stationed at Attui Island, AK, during W.W.II, from 1941 to 1943. He was later employed for 37 years by Richfield Oil, which became Arco Oil Company. He moved with his wife Alma to Stanwood in 1975. Alma preceded him in married in 1982. Henry was a member of Camano Chapel, Stanwood-Camano Beekeepers’ Association and enjoyed this hobby with many friends. Henry loved to give honey to his friends, and this brought him great joy. Gardening was a big part of Henry's life, and he was also a member of Skagit Valley Garden Club.
His real commitment was to his Christian faith and mission efforts in this country and overseas. Henry's passion was the spreading of Christ's message to distance lands.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Mercy Medical Mission, 8330 - 276th NE #8, Stanwood, WA 98292, for the mission of Jerry and Fe Sala in Mindanao, Philippines, or to Camano Chapel, 867 S. West Camano Dr., Camano Island, for the work of Jim Crouch and his mission in Nigeria. Henry has faithfully supported both of these mission efforts. died at age 93 on May 20, 2003 in a Snohomish nursing home. He is survived by his wife, Elaine of Camano Island; five children, Bryce (Shirley) Siegel of Snohomish, Penny Siegel of Stanwood, Joyce Fritts of Everett, Janice Weimer of Granite Falls, and JoAnn Matthewson of Bellevue; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was born in Mukilteo May 16, 1929, to Moses and Ula Dujardin. She graduated from Marysville High School and attended Northwest Bible College in Kirkland and Everett Community College. In 1953, she was introduced to Tillmon Osborne by mutual friends. They fell in love and were Cemetery, Stanwood. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
PRISCILLA M. MACDONALD

After a long and vibrant life, Priscilla "Pat" M. MacDonald succumbed to pneumonia just short of her 95th birthday.
She had resided in the Josephine Sunset Home, just a month, and was previously in the Mira Vista Care Center in Mt. Vernon as a result of a broken leg in August and again in December.
Pat lived in West Seattle for many years, where she enjoyed golf, bridge, bowling, knitting, crocheting and playing the organ. She was a medical records secretary for 26 years at the Veterans Hospital on Beacon Hill. After retirement, Pat moved to Camano Island in May, 1990, and joined the senior center, where she spent many Monday afternoons playing bridge and making friendships.
It was in 1990 that she adopted "Kitty" from the former NOAH animal shelter, and he was her faithful companion for over 12 years. He is now at home with Ed and Jean. Pat's early years were spent in Quincy, WA, where her father managed an apple orchard. In 1927, she passed away May 16, 2003. She was a former resident of Camano Island.
She was married Edward W. Gustafson Oct. 30, 1933, in Arlington. The couple lived in Springfield, OR, until Edward retired from Weyerhaeuser, when they moved to Camano Island. After his death by her brothers, Harold and Carl, and a sister, Ann. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews. There will be no services.
SHARON SCHWEIGERT
Sharon Schweigert, age 54, of Everson, born in Bellingham June 5, 1948, and graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1966. Following high school, she graduated from Bellingham Vo-Tech's LPN training program and was employed as an LPN at St. Luke’s Hospital, Everett General Hospital, where she was recognized as Nurse of the Year, and then at Josephine Sunset Home in Stanwood.
Sharon loved spending time with her family, all types of music and had sung many duets with her sister Karen. She also participated in and excelled in sports, both in high school and afterwards. She was preceded by her parents and brother, Richard Schweigert. She is survived by her twin sister, Karen and husband Henry Willemsen of Everson; brothers, Dave and wife Lena Schweigert of Ferndale, Ronald "Billy" and wife Valerie and Jerry Schweigert, all of Sumas; sister-in-law, Betty Schweigert of Lynden; partner, Dannielle Danforth of Sonoma, CA; dear nieces, Leia Sytsma and Michelle VanDalen; numerous other relatives, and special friends, Lori Roach, Dale Jenkins, Renee Talmadge, Karen Ollom and Louie and Kathy Tetreault. Memorials may be made to the organization of your choice.
ROBERT CLEMANS
On May 17, 2003, Robert (Bob) Clemans born Jan. 7, 1934 in Seattle.
On June 5, 1965, Bob and Anna (Klein) Clemans were death by his father and mother; one sister, Lois Mae; and one brother, Gilbert.
A memorial service will be held Sat., May 31, 1 p.m., at Camano Chapel, 867 S. West Camano Dr., Camano Island. Born May 10, 1949, and who left us for a better place May 25, 1995. Our hearts continue to remember you. We were so blessed to have you for as long as we did. Eight years have gone by, and you now have a new son-in-law, Joe, and a future son-in-law, Jesse, and two little darling grandsons, Lonnie Lee and Hunter Raymond. You would be proud! A day will come, and we will all be back together. Until then, we love you and we miss you.
