THOR A. EMRICH
Thor Aland Emrich, of Camano Island, formerly of Issaquah, born March 22, 1963 in Seattle, the son of Linn and Marian Emrich. When he was a young child, the family moved to Issaquah from Mercer Island.
Thor graduated from Bellevue Christian High School in 1981, where he was a member of the golf club. He attended Seattle Pacific University and Bellevue Community College. For several years he was employed by the Boeing Company at the Everett plant. He owned and operated ThunderFab, a woodworking company on Camano Island.
At the time of his death by his father, Linn, Oct. 1, 2002.
A time of visitation for family and friends was held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., Oct. 4, at Flintoft’s Issaquah Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Sat., Oct. 11, at Camano Chapel, 867 S. West Camano Dr., Camano Island, WA, 98282; phone (360) 387-7202.

REV. MAURICE C. MILLER
died Sept. 28, 2003 at age 96, while in the loving care of the staff of Welcome Home, Inc. His wife Margaret pre-deceased him by four months.
Maurice’s incredibly warm smile and the twinkle in his blue eyes will long be remembered by his three daughters: Maurine Johnson (Ernie) of Seattle; Miriam Godding (Fran) of Everett; and Marilyn O’Neel (Ron) of Snoqualmie; and by his six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial gifts may be directed to the Free Methodist Foundation, PO Box 580, Spring Arbor, MI 49283, designated for the Maurice and Margaret Miller Trust for Free Methodist Missions. A memorial service was held at Warm Beach Free Methodist Church, 2 p.m. on Oct. 4. A private internment service for family members took place prior to the memorial service. GORDON STEPHENSON
Gordon D. Stephenson born in Albion, NB, on June 30, 1923. Gordon and his wife Kathleen moved from Seattle to the Warm Beach area, where they lived for the last 26 years. He served in the Army during WWII in the Engineer Battalion. Gordon worked in business administration for years and later worked for Kent-Halvarson Construction. Gordon and Kathleen were Funeral service was at Peace Lutheran Church in Silvana, Fri., Oct. 3, at 2 p.m.; a family graveside service preceded at 1 p.m. at Zion Lutheran born Dec. 23, 1917, in Boise, Idaho, passed away Sept. 27, 2003. "Granmarie" was born April 18, 1905 in Arlington, WA to Nels and Jessie Peterson.
She graduated from Arlington High School and attended Peterson Business School in Seattle. On April 18, 1928 she death by her husband and her brother Jack C. Peterson. She is survived by her son, Nelvin and his wife, Jeanne; daughter Joyce Strand and her husband Robert; grandchildren Jeff Botten (Toni), Tamara Botten Riggs (Craig), Eric Strand, Stephen Strand (Jeanette), Robin Strand Heilbrunn. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Her memorial service will be held at Warm Beach Senior Community Chapel Tues., Sept. 30, 2003 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Atonement Lutheran Church, Warm Beach Senior Community or an organization of donor's choice. Arrangements under the direction of Gilbertson Funeral Home, Stanwood.
CHARLES T. COLE
Charles T. Cole, 76, of Camano Island went to join his beloved Donna in Heaven on Monday, Sept. 22, 2003, surrounded by his family. Chuck was married Donna Jeanne Laker on May 26, 1950. Together they had five children. His marriage and family were the most important things in his life. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to develop their strengths and interests. His love extended outside his family, and he was never happier than when he could help others. Chuck worked for 10 years at Washington Mutual Savings Bank, and graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School. It was a property line dispute that sparked his interest in law. With the support of his wife and growing family, he entered the University of Washington Law School and graduated with his Juris Doctorate in 1961. After death by his beloved wife, Donna, and granddaughter, Bonnie Susan Cole. He will be greatly missed by his brother, Robert (Mildred) Cole, of Olympia, WA and sister Ruth Matthews of Marquette MI; his five children Charlet (Dan) Lindley of Corpus Christi, TX; Robert (Susan) Cole of Stanwood, WA; Sharon (Patrick) Gilday of Juneau, AK; Shirley (John) Swanson of Poulsbo, WA; and Janet Cole of Marysville, WA; and 12 grandchildren, Sean Lindley, Douglas, Lynette, and Scott Cole; David, Gregory (Megan), Kevin, and Katherine Gilday; and John, Erik, Kristin, and Maren Swanson, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves a brother-in-law, Robert Laker of Centerpoint, IA, and a very special friend, Mary Lu Conley.
A memorial service in celebration of Chuck's life was held at Stanwood United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Sat., Sept. 27, 2003. This would have been his 77th birthday. ESTHER WAGNER DOLTON
Esther Wagner Dolton, 93 of Mira Visa Care Center of Mount Vernon, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Wed., Sept. 24, 2003. Esther was married her life partner Victor L. Dolton on May 9, 1932.
Vic and Esther lived in Bellingham, Acme, Seattle, Marysville and Stanwood throughout their death by her husband Vic and daughter Marian. Esther loved her Lord and is now with Vic and Marian in paradise.
She is survived by her son John, his wife Kathie of Mount Vernon; grandchildren Laurie (Wes) Price of Bow, Dyana Mitchell of Aberdeen, Tami Snyder of Aberdeen, Kevin (Tina) Galloway of Hawaii, Jessika (Ryan) West of Bellevue, Mike (Teresa) Dolton of Port Hadlock, Polleen (Matt) Delaney of Redmond, Vicki (Ron) Abrahamson of Silverdale, Dan (Lisa) Dolton of Wisconsin and Todd Poor of Marysville. Also 20 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at Gilbertson Funeral Home in Stanwood Sept. 29, with internment at Green Acres passed away Thurs., Sept. 25, 2003 at Skagit Valley Hospital while in the loving care of her immediate family, after many years with diabetes and all of its complications. Jean was passed away in Lynden, WA on Sept. 26, 2003. She was 93, death by her son Myron Pedersen and husband Lars Pedersen.
Margaret is survived by daughters Lee Ellen Christofferson, Linda Stenvers; grandchildren James Christofferson, Karen Lewis, Kathy Salisbury, Susan Bass, Kimberly Weatherill, John Stenvers, Carrie Caldwell, Lars Pedersen, Chardon Dankers; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and brother, Rasmus Larsen.
