M. Laveral Corbin
YAKIMA – Our beloved mother, Laveral Corbin, went to sleep in Jesus on Good Friday, April 14, 2006.
She was born Mildred Laveral Lockard in Wadena, Iowa on November 13, 1909 to Henry (Hank) & Lillian Lockard. The family moved to the Sterling, Colorado area when she was two, where she graduated from the 8th grade with honors. Laveral married Cecil J. Corbin, February 13, 1926 in Kelly, Colorado.
Laveral lived in the Sterling, CO area and she and Cecil moved with their children to Washington State in 1944. They purchased the family farm near Harrah and raised beef and milk cows, corn, vegetables, chickens and children. She would plant 2 ½ acres in vegetables for her family but her pride and joy were her flowers.
An avid listener, she was always interested in what was going on with her family.
She passed on her love for the Lord to her children. She loved to sign and one favorite song was “The Old Rugged Cross”. We will miss her, but we know we will see her in the resurrection.
Our family wishes to extend our gratitude to the staff and friends of Willow Springs for the wonderful care given to our mother.

(Darrell) Hathaway, Bonnie (Jim) Goerz, Twila J. (Mike) Hammond, Carol Kay (Jeff) LaBrant, and Judy L. (Chuck) Summers. Laveral is also survived by 54 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
