Sylvia Ruth Buckley
Sylvia Ruth Buckley, 74, of Yakima died Tuesday.
Mrs. Buckley was born in France. She was a teacher and had lived in Yakima for 21/2 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Veronica Crockett of Yakima and Vicki Sammons of Pennsylvania; one sister, Mirka Watson of London; and six grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no services.
Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of cremation.

Alberta E. (Hawley) Osbourn
Alberta E. (Hawley) Osbourn, 86, of Sunnyside died Monday.
Mrs. Osbourn was born in Trail City, S.D.
Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Ross of Sunnyside, Joanne Zylstra of Mission, Kan., and Sharon Brzeinski of Fort Collins, Colo.; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Burial will immediately follow at Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.

Judith Ann Quill
Judith Ann Quill, 22, of Tacoma died Friday in an automobile accident outside of Olympia.
She was born in Salem, Ore. She moved from Wapato to Tacoma four years ago.
She was a full-time student.
Survivors include a son, Sylvester Peters of Tacoma; a daughter, Diamond Peters of Tacoma; her parents, Kathleen and Garron Quill of Portland; and four sisters, Sharon Quill of Torrance, Calif., and Karen Talmalwash, Kimberley Quill and June Quill, all of Wapato.
A dressing service will be at 1 p.m. today at Merritt Funeral Home in Wapato. A vigil will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the 1910 Shaker Church in White Swan. Burial will be at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the 1910 Shaker Church Cemetery.
Merritt Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Sharon M. Jaggers
Sharon M. Jaggers, 64, of Centerville, Wash., died Thursday.
Mrs. Jaggers was born in Battleground, Wash. She lived in Centerville for 27 years. She and her husband farmed in the Zillah area.
Survivors include her husband, Arlo Jaggers of Centerville.
Valley Hills Funeral Home is in charge of cremation arrangements.

John L. Winters
John L. Winters, 63, of Wapato died Wednesday in Toppenish.
Mr. Winters was born in Yakima. He was a resident of White Swan, Harrah and Wapato. He farmed most of his life.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Winters of Wapato; four children, Dutch Winters of Wapato, Bryan Copp of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Kimberly Husch of Wapato and Ann Winters of Lansing, Mont.; three sisters, Joyce Day of Yakima, Icyle Isler of Leavenworth, Wash., and Nadine Sayvage of Moses Lake; and three brothers, Willard Winters of the Lower Valley, Tom Winters of Harrah and Ken Winters of Sunnyside.
Tribute service will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. Concluding services will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.

Helen Ard
Helen Ard, 84, of Newport, Ore., a longtime Grandview resident, died Wednesday in Newport.
Mrs. Ard was born in Colby, Kan. She was educated in Oklahoma. In 1952, she moved to Washington, living in the Tri-Cities, Prosser and in the 1960s in Grandview. She moved to Oceanview Retirement Center in Newport in 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald Ard Jr. of Toledo, Ore., and John Ard of Selah; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of the funeral at 1 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, Grandview. Burial will be in the Mabton Cemetery.
