William 'Bill' Trautman
William "Bill" Trautman, 91, of Seattle died Jan. 8 at his home.
Mr. Trautman was raised and educated in the Yakima area and worked as an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, of Seattle; four children, Donna Roth of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Bill Trautman of Hesperia, Calif., and Don Trautman and Judy Skoog, both of Seattle; two brothers, Emil Trautman of Naples, Fla., and David Trautman of Yakima; one sister, Freda Gering of Yakima; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral was Thursday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in West Seattle.

Mary Beth Simpson
Mary Beth Simpson, 88, of Mabton died Saturday at Prosser Nursing Home.
Mrs. Simpson was born in La Junta, Colo., and moved to Mabton in 1920. She taught elementary school in Mabton until 1941, when she became a farmer's wife and homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, George Simpson of Mabton; one sister, Alice Blackburn of Kent, Wash.; two sons, Doug Simpson and John Simpson of Mabton; one daughter, Jean Hill of Kent, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no formal services.
Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Sunnyside, is in charge of arrangements.

Reginald D. Dixon
Reginald D. Dixon, 48, of Yakima died Saturday.
Mr. Dixon was born in Las Vegas, Nev., and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include his parents, Charles Dixon of Compton, Calif., and Beatrice Gray of Seattle; four sons, Reginald Dixon Jr., of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Jeremy Dixon of Lincoln, Ark., Chase Dixon and Bryce Dixon of Yakima; five sisters, two brothers and one grandchild.
Memorial services are pending.
Keith and Keith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

John A. McMinimee
John A. McMinimee, 89, of Outlook died Tuesday at home.
Mr. McMinimee was born and raised in Outlook. He was in the cattle feeding business and also grew asparagus, corn, potatoes, and onions.
Survivors include two sons, W.J. (Wally) McMinimee and Jim McMinimee of Outlook; two daughters, Rosalie Stevens of Sunnyside and Mary Jo Hamby of Bend, Ore.; one sister, Esther Folquet of Longview, Wash.; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Friday and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside. Burial will be in the Sunnyside Memorial Park.

Bill Hubbard
Bill Hubbard, 80, of Yakima died Saturday at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center.
Mr. Hubbard was raised in Iowa and served with the Army and Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He lived in Los Angeles before moving to Yakima. He was a barber at the Yakima Firing Center for several years. He was also an accomplished musician and member of the Yakima Community Band for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Elvira Hubbard of Yakima; three daughters, Maria Ellena, Mary Helen and Suzzette, all of California; three sons, James Hubbard of Nevada, Willis Hubbard Jr. of Spokane and Robert Hubbard of Montana; two stepsons, Rogelio Perez and Alfonso Perez of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Claramae Rehfield and Helen Bassell, both of Yakima; one brother, Robert Hubbard of Santa Clarita, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date. Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Helen Adella Dozier Pletsch
Helen Adella Dozier Pletsch, 94, of Yakima died Saturday at Summitview Health Care Center in Yakima.
Ms. Pletsch was born in Kobe, Japan. She attended school in Japan and college at Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C., and Southwestern Seminary in Louisville, Ky. She worked as a missionary in Japan and was the founding principal of Mlfumi Yochien, a private kindergarten from which hundreds of Japanese students graduated. She remained in Japan until June 2004, when she moved to Yakima.
Survivors include one daughter Sally Sue Weinberg of Manassas, Va.; three sons, Kelsey Pletsch of Modesto, Calif., Tim Pletsch of Bellingham, Wash. and David Pletsch of Yakima; 18 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
At her request, no services will be held in the United States. Her remains will be inurned in a cemetery
on Mt. Fuji, Japan. Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory is handling arrangements.
