Lawrence 'Swede' M. Faxe
Lawrence "Swede" M. Faxe, 85, of Sunnyside died Thursday.
Mr. Faxe was born in Seattle. He was an orchardist for a number of years in the Grandview area.
Survivors include four daughters, Lori Dorsey of West Richland, Chris Bergstrom of Puyallup, Wash., Judy Essary of Sunnyside and Jean Purchase of Grandview; and five grandchildren.
Private family graveside service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Grandview Cemetery.

Claudean Hamm
Claudean Hamm, 76, of Union Gap died Wednesday.
Mrs. Hamm was born in Coffeyville, Kan. She was a greeter at Wal-Mart.
Survivors include four brothers, Joe Hughes of Prosser, James Hughes of Hollywood, Fla., William Hughes of Napavine, Wash., and Wesley Hughes of Coconut Grove, Fla.
Burial will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens. Memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home, Sunnyside.

Joseph 'Ted' Theodore Myers
Joseph "Ted" Theodore Myers, 71, of Wapato died Thursday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Myers was born in Tacoma. He was raised and educated in Wapato. He worked for Cumming's Electric for 30 years and then owned and operated his own business, Ted's Appliance and TV Service, until retiring.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Myers of Wapato; his children, Daniel Myers of Yelm, Randy Brown of Selah, Troy Brown and Eric Brown, both of Selah, and Rebecca Weisberg of Olympia; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
There will be an open house Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the family home.

Margaret M. Dressel
Margaret M. Dressel, 83, of Yakima died Friday.
Mrs. Dressel was born in Eau Claire, Wis. She was a longtime resident of Yakima.
Survivors include her husband, Paul George Dressel, a daughter, Linda Mollett, and a son, Paul Dressel, all of Yakima; two brothers, La Verne Dodge of Eua Claire and Bill Dodge of South Dakota; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Yakima Seventh-day Adventist Church. Burial will follow at West Hills Memorial Park.

Robert Paul Schiewe
Robert Paul Schiewe, 78, of Yakima died Friday.
Mr. Schiewe was born in Portland. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II. He was a brick mason and a chef in the restaurant business.
Survivors include his wife, Dolores; four children, Steven Schiewe of Yakima, Eric Schiewe of West Linn, Ore., Victoria Pruitt of Portland and Tim Schiewe of Boulder, Colo.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Yakima.

Pablo Abundiz
Pablo Abundiz, 70, of Yakima, died Wednesday at his home.
Mr. Abundiz was born in Michoacan, Mexico, and worked as a farm laborer.
Survivors include eight children, Maria Abundiz, Manuel Abundiz, Mireya Viveros, Carmen Abundiz and Mariano Abundiz, all of Yakima, Glenda Barrera of Auburn, Wash., Guadalupe Arriaga of Paterson and Sonia Abundiz of Hermiston, Ore.; 43 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.
A vigil service will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Keith and Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Cathedral. Concluding services and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
