Minnie Schneider Wolf
Minnie Schneider Wolf was born on August 23, 1934 in Kenel, South Dakota. She was a dear loving wife, sister, aunt, and friend to every one of us. We will miss her smiling face, her great desserts, and quick meals she would make when someone dropped in. Aunt Minnie was greatly loved and admired by her nieces and nephews.
She was an enthusiastic sports fan, playing softball in her teens. At one time she was a member of the Apple Queens softball team. She was a great fan of the Mariners and Seahawks.
The family had many get-togethers as her brother Paul had a German band and later his own dance hall on his property where the band, along with the other brothers, played some instruments. When they sang she was right there with them. Another passion of hers was the family pinochle tournaments throughout the years. She loved fishing and camping with Ken and her brothers.
Minnie worked in the bakeries at Albertson’s, Safeway, Rosauer’s and retired from Top Foods. Her brothers appreciated her skills from her bakery work as she’d give many of the goodies she made to them. Minnie was a member of St. Paul Cathedral in Yakima.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W. Wolf of Yakima; daughter-in-law Diana Schneider of Gig Harbor; five brothers: Frank (Irene) Schneider of Yakima, Tony (Jane) Schneider of Zillah, Adam (Rosalie) Schneider of Wapato, Roy (Cynthia) Schneider of Zillah, and Paul (Marie) Schneider of Goldendale; sister-in-law Francis Gillespie; grandchild Emily Wolf.
