Daniel Rivera
Daniel Rivera, 18, of Yakima died Sunday, May 30, 2010. Mr. Rivera was a student at Stanton Academy in Union Gap.
Survivors include his mother, Petra Rivera of Yakima; two stepbrothers, Adam Mendez of Yakima and Joshua Rivera of Toppenish; three sisters, Melinda Rivera, Jessica Rivera and Yulissa Rivera; and a stepsister, Edie Mendez, all of Yakima.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 7 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Toppenish.
Christopher Phillip Harto III
Christopher Phillip Harto III, 23 of Union Gap, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010.
Chris was born Dec. 13, 1986 in Renton, WA. As a child, he moved with his family to Union Gap. He attended Union Gap schools and Eisenhower High School.
Chris was a good-hearted man who attracted many friends. He loved spending time with his family and many friends and was good to everyone he met. He enjoyed sports cars, tattooing and contemporary music.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Lisa and Ronald Bryant of Union Gap; his father and step-mother, Christopher Harto II and Brenda, of West Valley; three brothers Joshua Harto of Union Gap, Kyle Bryant of Yakima and Cody Harto of Yakima; five sisters, Melissa Pease of Union Gap, Jessica Bryant of Wisconsin, Chianne Kanzler of Oakland, CA, Destinie Kanzler of Yakima and Marena Kanzler of Pipersville, PA; and grandparents, Christopher & Linda Harto of Eugene, OR, Keith & Jan Pease of Yakima, Norman Jean McKie of Moxee, Sharon Richards of Yakima and Betty Hodge of Yakima. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles: Kristy, Barb, Joann, Jenny, Robert, Rodger, Scott, Jimmy and Billy.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Valley Hills Funeral Home, Yakima. A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, June 5th at 12:00 noon at 2205 Willow, Yakima. The family wishes to thank Chris’s friends for all the love and support they’ve provided.
Virginia Grace Clark
Virginia Grace Clark, 86 of Yakima, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Landmark Care Center.
Virginia was born March 30, 1924 in Portland, OR to Virgil and Mildred White. In 1929, she moved with her family to Granger, WA where she was raised and educated. Virginia married Del Clark and they made their home in Yakima.
Virginia worked at the Bank of Yakima, People's Bank and retired from U.S. Bank in 1979. After Del passed away, she volunteered for eight years at the OIC Food Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Virginia loved animals, especially horses and dogs. She enjoyed gardening, with roses being her favorite flower.
She is survived by a son, Virgil and wife Linda Clark of Yakima; a son-in-law, Steve Silvestri of Naches; three grandchildren, Pete Silvestri, Courtney Clark and Carly Clark, all of Yakima; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 5 at 10 a.m. at the Zillah City Cemetery. The family wishes to send heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staffs of Northstar Lodge and Landmark Care Center for the excellent care and assistance given to them.
Leo Laverne Bullock
Leo Laverne Bullock, 94, of Yakima died Wednesday, July 21, 2010. Mr. Bullock was born in Spokane. He worked in the brewery industry.
Survivors include a son, Lee Bullock; and two daughters, Lanna Lee Webb and Wendy Perelli.
At his request, there will be no service. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
Marian Marjory Stilwell
Marian Marjory Stilwell of age 99 passed away on July 20th, 2010 in Beaverton, Oregon. Marian was born May 5th, 1911 to her parents Myrtle and Guy Robison in Valley City, North Dakota. She was the youngest of five girls; Iva, Laura, Gladys, Myrtle and Marian. From one year of age, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Rebecca and Charlton Barton and their children; Winifred, Hazel, Ella and John. They moved to Outlook Washington from Montana in 1932.
On April 19, 1934 she married Albert J. Stilwell. They lived on the family hop farm on Liberty Road in Granger, Washington. They had two children, Jerome A. Stilwell, and Sharon L. Coan. She and Albert retired and moved to Zillah, Washington in January 1974.
They both enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping and playing cards with friends. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1993, her parents, and sisters.
She is survived by her son Jerome Stilwell (Charlene), her daughter Sharon Coan (Steve), 6 grandchildren; Ed Stilwell (Kami), William Stilwell (Shawna), Christal Magnuson (Kevin), Jennifer Kennedy (Bryce), Michelle Noel (Tommy) and Michael Coan. There are 9 great grandchildren and sister-in-law Louise Stilwell Peterson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be offered 1PM – 5PM Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah. The funeral service will be held at 1PM Monday July 26, 2010, also at the funeral home. Graveside services will follow at Zillah Cemetery.
David Baldonado
David Baldonado, 15, of Sunnyside died Saturday, July 17, 2010.
David was born in Albuquerque, N.M.
Survivors include his mother, Kelly Romero; two brothers, Steven Baldonado and Jacob Baldonado; and two sisters, Angel Baldonado and Emily Baldonado, all of Sunnyside.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22 at Valley Hills Funeral Home in Sunnyside. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, July 23, also at the funeral home.
Suzanne Garnier
Suzanne Garnier, 49, of Yakima died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Garnier was born in Seattle. She was a paraprofessional for the Yakima School District.
Survivors include her father and mother, Frank and Julie Paparazzo of Yakima; a daughter, Korrina Garnier of California; and two sisters, Janice Garnier of Tieton and Deanne Evans of Cowiche.
A celebration of life will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
Elsie Vallejo-Mejia
Elsie Vallejo-Mejia, 98, of Yakima died Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Vallejo-Mejia was born in Jalisco, Mexico. She worked in housekeeping for the Union Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include three sons, Raymond Vallejo-Mejia of San Fernando, Calif., David Vallejo-Mejia of Los Angeles and Alexander Vallejo-Mejia of Yakima; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
At her request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima.
