Helen English Lawrence
Helen English Lawrence, 82, went peacefully home with the Lord on Tues., Nov. 13th, 2012, with her daughter and family by her side.
Helen was born to Waverly and Helen Hedspeth in Portland, OR on Dec. 20th, 1929. She was the youngest of four children: Philip Peterson, William Hedspeth, and Lorraine Medrano. She loved her brothers and sister. The bond between her and her sister was priceless (they were two peas in a pod). They moved to Washington in 1940 where she attended Wapato High School, then met and fell in love with Joseph Dean Menard from Moxee. The two married April 4th, 1946. She worked as a farm laborer picking fruit, then as a meat wrapper at Jerry’s market. She was a very hard worker. Later on she met and married John Lawrence. They moved to Ilwaco, WA. There she worked at the hospital where she retired. Wanting to be closer to her sister, she moved to Moses Lake, WA. In 2008, when her health took a turn, she then moved to Yakima, WA with her sons, and then on to her final resting place, Spokane, WA, with her daughter.
She enjoyed fishing, gardening, drinking beer with friends at the Sea Hag, one of her favorite spots back in Ilwaco, playing shuffleboard, watching the Seahawks and Mariners play, going to the casino, and playing her lucky numbers (3 & 13) for Keno. Helen loved animals and was always feeding the birds. Last but not least she was the Champion Butt Dart Queen, she even got a trophy. She loved life, her sense of humor was with her to the end, her smile and laughter lit up the room. She loved everyone and made us all feel loved as we all loved her so.
Helen is survived by her children Harley (Steve) and wife Linda Menard of Yakima, Judy Menard of Spokane and Gene Menard of Yakima, 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren, her sister Lorraine Medrano and her husband Art, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Helen is preceded in death by her father, mother, brothers and grandson Dustin.

She was surrounded by her loving family. We celebrate the amazing life of Bea who charmed us with her wit and humor until the very end.
She was an inspiration and a blessing to all her family and friends. She was a strong woman of faith, lived by example, a prayer warrior and she enjoyed reading her Bible daily - we all miss her dearly.
Bea was born to Elsworth Wright and Anna Mae Hallman; she was the youngest of 10 children. Bea attended school in Lake Andes, South Dakota and moved to Washington with her family after graduating from high school.
Bea married Leo James Greger in 1939 and they had three children Anita Golladay, Bonnie Delp, and Don Gregor all of Washington. Bea was a loving wife, mother and homemaker, devoting much of her time to baking apple pies and cinnamon rolls (well known for her amazing cinnamon rolls which we all fought over) and making freezer jam (strawberry was her favorite), gardening, participating in school events and family outings including clam digging at Copalis Beach. When the children were in high school Bea started working as a supervisor at Stokely Van Kamp in Zillah, WA for several years and later Bea and her husband Leo moved to Seattle for their jobs, where Bea accepted a position at JC Penney’s working in Seattle, Yakima and Sunnyside. She retired after 17 years of service. She also belonged to the Rebeccas and Red Hatters. Leo Greger passed away in 1972 and Bea married John Hargrove in 1976. They enjoyed traveling to Texas and Hawaii and visiting family. John passed away in 1999.

She moved to Kalispell, MT after the passing of her husband. She never stopped trying to return there even after moving with her daughter to White Swan, WA.
