Peggy Sue Siekawitch (Fox)
Peggy Sue Siekawitch (Fox), 75, of Yakima, WA passed away November 1, 2012 peacefully surrounded by her family.
Peggy was born on May 8, 1937 in Wagoner, OK to Ira and Anna Roberts. She moved to Yakima with her family in the 1940’s. Peggy married Clarence P. Siekawitch on May 21st, 1960. The couple raised their family in the Yakima Valley.
Peggy started her career at Don’s Drive Inn as a Car Hop; she then landed a job at the Garden Villa where she worked for many years as a Sous Chef. She accepted an Executive Chef/Kitchen Manager position in Ashland, OR when she opened Ashland Hills Inn. After a few years she began to miss her family and decided to accept an Executive Chef position in the Yakima Valley. Peggy ran a pretty strict kitchen; everything had to be perfect for her customers. She worked very hard for over 18 years for the Holiday Inn until she had to retire due to illness.
Above all, Peggy loved her family and we admired and adored her loving, nurturing and humorous personality. She was an amazing woman and no words can describe how much she will be missed.
Peggy is survived by her two daughters, Valerie Thomas and Dawn Siekawitch; a son, Dana (Candy) Siekawitch; nine grandchildren; Tawnya, Brandon, and Kamryn Gee, Amber Conery, Colton Thomas, Lynda Ralston, Brandy, Cheanna and Natasha Siekawitch and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Wanda Argetsinger and Betty Perkin; brothers, Bill (Lisa) Roberts, Ron (Gennie) Roberts and Jim (Teresa) Roberts.
Peggy is joining her parents, Ira and Anna Roberts, her husband, Clarence Siekawitch, and brother, Don Roberts.
Services will be Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel followed by graveside services in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10th, 2012 at the Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel.

Olive Pastrana
Olive Pastrana of Harrah, Washington, 86, passed away suddenly on November 2nd, 2012 due to a car accident. Olive was born on July 9th, 1926 in Toltec, Colorado to Toribio and Maclovia Lucero and she graduated from Crowley High School. She worked as the bookkeeper for Harrah Hardware until her retirement. Olive loved to garden, visit with friends, and exercised regularly.
She is survived by her only son, Jose M. Pastrana of Fall City, WA, his wife Nancy Pastrana, and her granddaughters Salina Pastrana of Issaquah, WA and Landa Pastrana of Monroe, WA.
Per Olive’s request, no services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Disabled American Veterans Association.
Merritt Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
Edwin Noel (Nolan) Fields
GRANGER - Edwin Noel (Nolan) Fields, 75, went to be with his wife Glee, whom he missed dearly, on Oct. 26, 2012 at home in Granger, WA.
Nolan was born Feb. 28, 1937 to Herbert & Neva Fields in Weiser, Idaho.
The family moved to Kooskia, Idaho where Nolan met the love of his life Glee Monroe in 1949.
Nolan started dating Glee in 1953 and they were married on Oct. 1, 1956 in Kooskia, Idaho. They were married for 53 years before Glee passed away in 2010.
Nolan started working for Burlington Northern Railroad as a telegraph operator in 1956. He worked for them for twenty years. He had the experience to work the Union Gap, Prosser, Toppenish, Waitsburg and other train depots throughout the lower valley. He knew his Morse code.
Their first child, a daughter, was born in 1959, and then they moved to Grandview, WA in 1960, where their second daughter was born in 1962. They lived in Harrah, WA from 1963 to 1967, then they bought their forever home in Granger, WA to raise cattle.
Nolan enjoyed hunting with his best friends and fishing with the family. He never missed a Mariners game or a Seahawks game on TV.
Nolan was preceded in death by his parents Herbert & Neva Fields, his wife Glee and two brothers, Hilton & Richard Fields.
He is survived by one brother, Rusty (Donna) Fields of Lewiston, Idaho, his daughters Tammie (Randall) Williams of Grandview, WA, and Lisa (Gary) Dunn) of Yakima, WA, two grandsons, Eric (Jen) Livingston of McCleary, WA, and Ryan Livingston of Yakima, WA, five great grandchildren, Hailee, Blake, Kortny, Zachery and Lillian Livingston, six nieces, one nephew and two aunts.
Special thanks to the Lower Valley Hospice; they were there when we needed them the most.
Those who wish to honor Nolan’s memory may contribute to the Lower Valley Hospice.
A memorial will be at a later date.
Helen E. Yelechchin
YAKIMA - Helen E. Yelechchin, 52, of Yakima passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at home. Helen was born June 19, 1960 in Toppenish to Amos Queahpama and Virginia Henry Yelechchin.
Helen was a lifelong resident of the Yakima Valley and worked as a caregiver.
Survivors include three sons, Elias Queahpama of Yakima, Joseph Queahpama of Wapato and Christopher Witt of Sunnyside; three daughters, Amanda Yelechchin of White Swan, Katherine Yelechchin of Toppenish and Ivana Witt of Bellingham; three brothers, Carl Peter of Fort Hall, Idaho, Abe Hudson of White Swan and Leroy Hudson of White Swan; two sisters, Mary Nelson of Wapato and Matilda Smiskin of Toppenish; and six grandchildren, Jesse, Yuliana, Virginia and Jessica Yelechchin and Jenesis and Bethany Queahpama.
Dressing services were at 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5 at the Toppenish Long House, followed by overnight services. Sunrise burial will be Tuesday, Nov. 6 at Pete Cemetery in Mabton.
Annabell Iris Munson Froemke
TOPPENISH - Annabell Iris Munson Froemke died on November 7th, 2012 at Toppenish Regional Hospital.
Ann was born to Claude and Clara Shea on September 3rd, 1929 in Yakima, WA. She lived in Outlook, Ahtanum and Buena and graduated from Toppenish High School.
She married Howard Munson on July 15th, 1949 and moved to Wapato. She had 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. After Howard died, she married Robert Froemke and moved to Zillah.
Throughout her life, her most important accomplishment was her family.
Annabell was a member of the Parker Heights Presbyterian Church. She was active in the Ashue and Buena Granges. She was also involved with various Granges throughout the upper Valley. She was an accomplished seamstress, and she enjoyed knitting. She was a 4-H Leader for 25 years. Over the years, she taught numerous children how to cook and sew. She volunteered as a reading coach. She packed fruit at various warehouses in the Valley and worked the graveyard shift at the Del Monte cannery in Toppenish.
Annabell was preceded in death by her first husband, Howard Munson, and her daughter, Janet Nachtmann.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Froemke, and her children: Richard and Nancy Munson, Bonni LaBombard and Nancy Jones, Dave and Sheila Munson, Lynn and Mark Clayton; her grandchildren: Daniel Munson, Patrick & Solveig Munson, Christopher Munson, Stacy and David Huddle, Kevin and Jeanne LaBombard, Elise and Zack York, Carinne Munson, Chase Nachtmann, Melanie Nachtmann, Kimberly and Adam Williams, Tyler Clayton, Kristin Clayton; her great grandchildren: Graham Munson, Julia Munson, Melissa Bland, Dylan Bland, Meagan Huddle, Kendra LaBombard, Aaron LaBombard, Austin LaBombard; and a brother: Jim Shea, plus numerous nieces, nephews and other in-laws.
Viewing will be from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, November 13th at Valley Hills Funeral Home, 607 2nd Ave. in Zillah. Services will be held at the Wapato Presbyterian Church, 502 S. Satus Ave., at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14th. Followed by graveside services at the Zillah Cemetery and lunch at the Buena Grange, 156 Highland Drive. Valley Hills Funeral Home in Zillah is in care of the arrangements.
