Agnes Duncan
Agnes Duncan, 89, of Sunnyside died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Yakima Regional Medical and Cardiac Center. She was born in Chadwick, Mo., and worked various jobs and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Jack Duncan of Sunnyside; son, Walt Goebel of Waitsburg, Wash.; daughters, Pat Goebel of Ft. Worth, Texas, Marty Johnson of Palm Springs, Calif.; sisters, Freda Moreford of Yakima, Ruth Kelso of Midland, Texas and Lucy Cooper of Vancouver, Wash.; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 27 at Sunnyside Chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home.
Jesus G. Villarreal
Jesus G. Villarreal, 93, of Prosser died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at his home.
Mr. Villarreal was born in Cienega de Flores, Nuevo León, Mexico. He was a farm laborer.
Survivors include four sons, Raul Villarreal and Jesus Villarreal Jr., both of Prosser, Pablo Villarreal of Grandview and Israel Villarreal of Richland; four daughters, Rosalva Lemmon of Prosser, Emira Quinonez of Yuma, Ariz., and Lia Rodriguez and Herminia Rodriguez, both of Grandview; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Viewing is from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24 at the Sunnyside Chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Prosser Cemetery at noon. A memorial service will follow at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Nunn Road in Prosser.
Maria Guadalupe DeLeon
Maria Guadalupe DeLeon, 63, of Mabton died Thursday, March 19, 2009.
Mrs. DeLeon was born in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Francisco DeLeon of Mabton; two sons, Juan G. DeLeon of Mabton and Francisco DeLeon Jr. of Pasco; a daughter, Maria A. DeLeon of Sunnyside; a brother, Miguel Juarez of Mabton; four sisters, Teresa Mendoza and Hermilinda Juarez, both of Mabton, Luisa Rodriguez of Portland and Gracie Guichard of Seattle; one grandson.
No funeral is scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Zillah.
Michael R. Hammack, Sr.
Michael R. Hammack, Sr., 61, of Yakima passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at Yakima Regional Medical Center.
Michael served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
He is survived by three sons, Michael R. Hammack, Jr. of Idaho, Christopher Hammack of Idaho and Benjamin Hammack of Yakima; two daughters, Michelle and Stephanie Hammack, both of Yakima; a brother, Stephen Hammack of San Diego, CA and seven grandchildren.
Graveside Services are pending.
Phyllis Rae Jones
Phyllis Rae Jones, 82, of Yakima died Saturday, March 21, 2009.
Mrs. Jones was born in Lenora, Kan., and lived in Tacoma and Yakima. She was a bookkeeper.
Survivors include her husband, Felix Blubaugh of Yakima; a son, Jeffrey James Carey of University Place, Wash.; a daughter, Cheryl Jones of Lynnwood, Wash.; two brothers, Robert Poppert of North Platt, Neb., and Leonard Poppert of Blair, Neb.; and three sisters, Linda Everhard of Blair, Evie Donnelly of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Claire Poppert of Omaha, Neb.
At her request, there will be no services. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory.
Kimberlee Notley
YAKIMA - Kimberlee E. (Crowe) Notley, passed away peacefully in Yakima, Washington on March 18, 2009.
She was born In Bishop, California, August 17, 1950. Kimberlee was a graduate of Sparks High School class of 1968.
She is survived by her best friend and husband, since October 22, 1988, Bill Notley; two children, Sky Thompson and his wife Tara; Tyler Mathers and his wife Nicoll; three step children, Kyle Notley and his wife Tersea; Ryan Notley and his wife Kristina and Matt Notley; two brothers, Leonard Crowe Jr. and Patrick Crowe; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents DeeDee and Leonard Crowe Sr. and her brother Mel Crowe.
Kim was a very accomplished self taught chef who used her skills in the kitchen to create terrific food for her annual Super Bowl parties. She was a master gardener and confidant to many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kimberlee's name to a favorite charity of your choice. Interment will be at the Sierra Mountains Cemetery, Truckee, CA.
Wayne M. Fox
Wayne M. Fox, 91, of Toppenish died Wednesday, March 18, 2009.
Mr. Fox was born in Flaxville, Mont. He worked as an accountant for the Internal Revenue Service.
Survivors include two sisters, Eunice Gunvaldson and Joyce Gunvaldson, both of Canby, Ore.
No service is scheduled at this time. Arrangements are by Valley Hills Funeral Home of Zillah.
Henry Kienbaum
YAKIMA - Henry Kienbaum, 74, of Wapato passed away March 14, 2009 in Yakima.
Henry was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on November 15, 1934. He served in the Marines in Korea. Later he worked as a Radio Electronics Engineer and was a missionary in Brazil for several years. He has lived in Wapato for the past 10 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elvera Kienbaum of Wapato; sons, Henry Kienbaum Jr. of Upsala, MN and Paul Kienbaum of Upsala, MN; daughters, Ruby Kienbaum of Minneapolis-St-Paul, MN and Becky Lopez of Upsala, MN; and six grandchildren, Brittany, Bella, Severo, Angela, Zaphod and David.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dorothy Kienbaum; brothers, Louis Kienbaum and Daniel Kienbaum; and sister, Myrtle.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at 3:00pm at the Wapato Nazarene Church. Interment will follow next week at the North Elmdale Cemetery in Minnesota.
