Shirley Ann Harden
Shirley Ann Harden, 67, of Tieton died Monday at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Harden was born in Shreveport, La. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include three sons, James Harden of Tieton and Ronald Harden and Dennis Harden of Naches; a daughter, Deanna Stewart of North Dakota; a brother, Kevin Stone, and sister, Veronica Lobo, both of Oroville, Calif.; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Tree of Life Christian Center in Naches.
Valley Hills Funeral Home and Crematory, Yakima, is in charge of arrangements.
Judy Anne McEwen
Judy Anne McEwen, age 56, passed away on January 9, 2008 in Granger. She was born on October 4, 1951 to Ted and Lois (Condy) Williamson in Denver, Colorado.
Ms. McEwen attended Western Washington University and the University of Washington. She was a homemaker and she home schooled her children. She lived in Tacoma until 2006 when she moved to Granger.
Survivors include her husband John McEwen of Granger; her parents, Ted and Lois Williamson of Gig Harbor, WA; her sons Nathan McEwen of Missoula, MT, and Evan McEwen, Quinn McEwen, Allen McEwen, Cliffden McEwen and Matthew Lakey, all of Granger; daughters Caroline McEwen, Elena Lois McEwen and Miriam McEwen of Granger; sisters Jeane Williamson of Granger and Ava McNellis of Burley, WA, and one grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at the Calvary Bible Church in Toppenish at a later date.
Sylvia Ruiz
Sylvia Ruiz, 50, of Granger died Monday at Toppenish Community Hospital.
Mrs. Ruiz was born in Toppenish. She worked as a secretary for the Washington State Migrant Council before becoming disabled.
Survivors include two sons, Eric Ruiz of Granger and Joey Ruiz of Selah; a daughter, Doria Ruiz of Granger; a sister, Margaret Aguilar of Grandview; and two grandchildren.
The rosary will be at 6 p.m. Monday, and the memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, all at St. Joseph's Church, Sunnyside.

Lillian Evelyn Ratts
YAKIMA - Lillian Ratts, age 89, died in Yakima, WA on Jan 7, 2008. She was born Mar 10, 1918 in Belfield ND. After her marriage to Herb Ratts, she lived many years at Cataldo, Idaho raising her family, working in the family business, and teaching school. Retirement years were spent in Yakima, Phoenix and Portland, Oregon.
After Herb's death she was married to Gordon Johnson in Portland where they lived for 9 years until his passing.
A date for memorial services at Pinehurst, Idaho is pending a time of improved weather and road conditions. Friends of Lil are invited to the home of her son at 902 N 6th St on Saturday, Jan 12th, from noon to 4 PM for an open house to mingle, hug, pray, and share memories.
Lillian requested that donations be made to a favorite charity or to The Gideons in lieu of flowers.
Darlene Lucille (Cullen) Gottschalk
Darlene Lucille (Cullen) Gottschalk, 55, of Quincy died Saturday.
Mrs. Gottschalk was born in Sunnyside. She served as director of emergency medical services at Quincy Valley Hospital since 1997.
Survivors include two sons, Ed Gottschalk of Moses Lake, and David Gottschalk of Quincy; a sister, Kathy Reed of Quincy; three brothers, Jim Cullen of Sunnyside, Dave Cullen of Yakima and Tom Cullen of Gresham, Ore.; and five grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lower Valley Memorial Gardens in Sunnyside.

Orlea Arlean Anderson
Orlea Arlean Anderson, 80, of Sunnyside died Saturday in Grandview.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Pepin County, Wis., and worked as a seamstress in Sunnyside for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Wallace Anderson Sr. of Sunnyside; a son, Wallace Anderson Jr. of Sunnyside; a daughter, Babe Beam of Kennewick; a brother, Arnold Rageth of Wisconsin; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Isaac (Vekido) Hinojosa
GRANDVIEW - Isaac (Vekido) Hinojosa was born in Sunnyside on June 2, 1991 to Lydia Hinojosa and Desmond Ussery. On January 1, 2008, he was called to rest with the Lord above. He was a young man full of life with lots of love for his family and a beautiful smile. He attended Grandview High School and loved to play basketball.
Isaac is survived by his grandparents, Lala Hinojosa and Rudy Hinojosa; mother and father; a brother, Adam Leyva; two sisters, Amanda Hinojosa and Sabrina Perez; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be missed greatly. Rest in Peace, Isaac.
Viewing will be today from noon until 8 p.m. at the Sunnyside Chapel of Valley Hills Funeral Home. Recitation of the Rosary will be today at 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Grandview, with burial to follow in Lower Valley Memorial Gardens.
