DONALD CARL HEINRICH

Donald Carl Heinrich, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, returned to the Lord on Jan. 22, 1999 at his home in Billings, MT.
He was born
in Leavenworth, on May 11, 1934 to Carl and Verona (Abbott) Heinrich, grew up in Soap Lake and graduated from Ephrata High School. He attended Central Washington College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics. He served two years in the U.S. Army at Fort Lewis. Don worked for the Bureau of Reclamation for 34 years, retiring in 1995.
He enjoyed traveling in his 5th wheeler, golfing and fishing.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lola Jean Heinrich, they were married
April 15, 1961 in Ephrata. Don was the devoted father of four daughters; Jean Marie Lechler and husband, Dave; Julie Threase Heinrich; Wendy Leah Mendenhall and husband, Ken; Katrina Deann Meeks and husband, Blake. Don was tremendously loved by his grandchildren, Anthony Lee Davis, Ronald Francis Davis, Joshua Adam Boyles, Sarah Morgan Haldorson, Thomas Jay Tyler Mendenhall, Katie Threase Mendenhall and Elysia Danielle Meeks. His loving mother, Veronica Heinrich of Moses Lake; four sisters, Betty Johnston of Laurel, MD, Mrs. Carmel O'Byrne of Moses Lake, Mrs. Beverly Barker of Connell and Mrs. Gaybeth Brown of Boise, ID. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl, in 1996.
We will all miss his lighthearted sense of humor and will forever remember his love.
A memorial service for Donald Carl Heinrich was held Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999 in Billings, MT. A service of inurnment will be held in Soap Lake and announced at a later date.
ROSALIA KELLOGG
East Wenatchee
Rosalia Kellogg, 30, of East Wenatchee, died Monday evening, Jan. 25, 1999 in Wenatchee as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born
on March 22, 1968 to Rene and Maruja (Olmos) Balanza in La Paz, Bolivia. She received her education in Bolivia and worked for a casino.
In 1992, while in the Peace Corps, her husband, Keith Kellogg met Rosalia. She arrived with her daughter Inga to the United States on June 18, 1993. On Sept. 17, 1993, she and Keith were married
in Longview. They've made their home in East Wenatchee since that time.
In June, 1994, she began working at Mill Bay Casino where she was currently a supervisor. She had recently become a U.S. Citizen.
Survivors include her husband, Keith; two daughters, Inga, nine years old, and Kirsten, 16 months old, all of East Wenatchee; her parents, Rene and Maruja Balanza, East Wenatchee; five brothers, Jose Luis, Jamil, Rudy, Richard and Jose Martin; four sisters, Babli, Janel, Rossio and Flavia; her grandmother, Emma Balanza Ortuno; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Bolivia.
Funeral services will be held at King's Orchard Church of Christ, 1610 Orchard St., Wenatchee, on Friday, January 29 at 2 p.m. Concluding services and interment
will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home, Thursday 5 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Friday morning from 10 until noon. JOANNE LENNY
Wenatchee
Joanne Lenny, 70, of Wenatchee, passed away peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Monday, Jan. 25, 1999 at Central Washington Hospital.
Joanne was born
Nov. 28, 1928 in Portland, OR to John F. Yacko-Keegan and Hazel (Kappes) Keegan Howard. She grew up in Spokane where she attended schools. She graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1947.
On June 20, 1947, she married
Albert T. Lenny at Spokane. In 1952, the family moved to Southern California where they resided for five years. In 1957, they were transferred to Malad City, ID where Mr. Lenny was employed with the CCA/FAA at the Malad City Airport. After two years the family was transferred to Ellensburg to await transfer with the FFA to Wenatchee.
Over the years, Joanne worked as a homemaker and as a volunteer in the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society Thrift Shop. She was also very active as a doll collector and miniature enthusiast until she suffered a stroke in 1994 and was confined to a wheelchair since then. Joanne touched the lives of those around her with kindness and joy, and she will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Joanne is survived by her husband of 52 years, Albert T., at home; her children, Alan Ross Lenny, NV, Loretta Anne Lenny, of Renton, and Thomas Stephen Lenny of Wenatchee; her mother, Hazel Howard in Spokane and her sister, Mary Jane Block in Spokane. She was preceded in death by her father John Yacko-Keegan, and her stepfather, Stephen Howard.
Funeral services will be held at Telford's Chapel of the Valley, Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Mike Osborn officiating. Concluding services and interment
will follow at Wenatchee Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorials to the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society.

WINONA R. RIECHE
Leavenworth
Winona R. Rieche, 79, a resident of Leavenworth for the past 20 years, died Wednesday, Jan. 27 1999 in the Cashmere Convalescent Center.
She was born
Winona R. Hall on Sept. 14, 1919 in Seattle, where she grew up and received her early education, in the Squamish and Seattle area. Graduating from Ballard High School in 1938, she then attended business college.
In 1941 she married
Robert Matheson in Seattle, with whom she had two children.
On Feb. 22, 1963 she married
Karl Rieche at North Bend and they made their home in the Seattle area. She worked as a secretary for Firemans Fund and later Marine Construction Design. In 1978 they moved to Leavenworth, where she worked for Don Pepin, Optical until her retirement in 1984.
She was a member of the Magnolia Lutheran Church and the Jackson Golf Club both in Seattle, and she was the organizer of the Jackson Jills golf group and won the first club championship in 1972. Winona was also a member of the Leavenworth Golf Club and won several titles around the state including nine Ladies Division titles between 1978 and 1990.
Winona is survived by a daughter Marilyn Daniel and husband, John of Elmira, OR and son Robert Matheson, Jr. of Orcas Island; stepdaughter, Karen Cool of Ocean Shores; two grandchildren, Christopher and Jonathon Spindor; step-grandchildren, Denise Bresee, Richard Cool, Jr. and Kari Cool; step-great-grandchildren, Michael Edmison and Tayler Cool. She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl on Jan. 10, 1999.
A memorial service of commemoration to celebrate the lives of Winona and Karl G. Rieche, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Jan. 30, 1999, in the Ward's Funeral Chapel. Those who wish may make a memorial in her name to the Cancer Society.

GERALD "JERRY" SHARP THOMSON
Omak
Gerald S. Thomson, 73, of Omak, died Jan. 24, 1999 at his home.
He was born
April 20, 1925 in Windsor, Ontario to Albert and Lillian (Sharp) Thomson. At the age of two Gerald and his mother immigrated to the Cashmere Valley.
He attended school there and worked in the apple industry in the summer. He graduated from Wenatchee High School in 1944. Gerald served in the U.S. Army during W.W. II. At the age of 19 he led troops as a Sergeant in France, England and Germany. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star and the French Combat Medal. He was wounded twice in combat. After which he still served his country by riding the Red Ball Express which hauled ammunition and supplies to his comrades.
Gerald married
Betty J. Tedford at Wenatchee Sept. 4, 1948.
He attended the University of Washington under the GI bill, graduating in June of 1950 with a degree in Pharmacy. Gerald and Betty moved to Omak about 50 years ago. He worked at Ulrich Drug Store for about 40 years; and was co-owner later in his career.
Gerald was very active in the community; Past Master of Palestine Lodge #214; Past President of the Omak Rotary Club; Active in Omak Chamber of Commerce; and America Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Omak, who is recovering from a temporary illness in Wenatchee; daughter, Pam Thomson of Seattle; son, Stephen Gerald Thomson of Seattle; son, Bruce Albert Thomson of Mt. Hood, OR; beloved granddaughter, Olivia Thomson, age three, of Seattle.
Memorials will be gathered at the chapel to be delivered to the University of Washington School of Pharmacy for development in Pharmacy services within rural communities.
Precht-Harrison Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Gerald Sharp "Jerry" Thomson
Gerald Sharp "Jerry" Thomson, 73, of Omak, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 1999, at his home.
He was born
in Ontario and moved to the Cashmere Valley when he was 2. He moved to Omak about 50 years ago and worked at Ulrich Drug Store for about 40 years and was a co-owner later in his career.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of Omak; a daughter, Pam Thomson of Seattle; and two sons, Stephen Gerald Thomson of Seattle, and Bruce Albert Thomson of Mount Hood, Ore.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Precht-Harrison Chapel in Omak, Pastor Jim Fiedler officiating. The Masonic Lodge No. 214 will provide a honor service.

RAYMOND V. MATHEWS
Wenatchee
Raymond V. Mathews, 87, of Wenatchee and a former longtime resident of East Wenatchee, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 1999 in Highline Convalescent Center, following a two-week illness.
He was born
May 3, 1911 to Herbert and Ethel (Zinn) Mathews at Lawrence County, Missouri.
Mr. Mathews served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He spent time in California and Utah. Following his honorable discharge, he moved back to Utah, where he lived until moving to East Wenatchee.
Raymond worked for Wells and Wade Hardware as a purchasing agent until his retirement in 1981.
In 1989, he moved to Wenatchee, where he has since lived.
Mr. Mathews was a longtime member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and a member of White Shrine. He was a 32nd degree mason of the Scottish Rite in the Jett Lodge. He was also a member of the Wenatchee Valley Senior Center and a volunteer for Respite Care.
Ray was a great friend to everyone he met.
Survivors include two brothers, Rezin of Springfield, MO and Valgene of Carthage, MO; one sister, Ramona Schlichting of Springfield, MO; a special friend, Gladys Adkins of East Wenatchee; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret "Peggy" Mathews in 1983 and his wife Thelma Davis Mathews in 1991.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Fri., Apr. 16, 1999 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church with Fr. Larry Spannagel officiating.
Services will conclude in the church. Mr. Mathews will be buried
in Beck Cemetery, Stotts City, MO.
Viewing will be held today until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

R. M. "MAX" RAYMOND
Wenatchee
R. M. "Max" Raymond, 88, a longtime Wenatchee resident, died Tuesday evening, April 14, 1999 at the Central Washington Hospital of Wenatchee.
He was born
on September 27, 1910 at Wilson, Michigan to Frederick A. and Catherine B. (Page) Raymond. As a young man, Max moved to Seattle, to Yakima and then in the early 1930s, to the Okanogan Valley.
On May 7, 1937, he married
Luella Jane Threewitz (of Omak) in Okanogan. Max then entered the United States Navy and served his country during World War II.
In 1956, Max began work with the Washington State Highway Department as the Superintendent of Appraisers. He worked out of the Wenatchee office and retired in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Luella J. Raymond of Wenatchee; his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Page Reed and Luke Reed of Wenatchee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and by his brother (1995).
At Mr. Raymond's request, no services will be held. However, if desired, memorials may be made in his name to the Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children and/or to the Alzheimer's Research Program, both in care of Jones & Jones Funeral Directors.

LOLA C. TIDWELL
Phoenix, Arizona
Lola C. Tidwell, 92, of Phoenix, Arizona and a former longtime Wenatchee area resident, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 1999 in Phoenix.
She was born
February 3, 1907, in Arkansas.
Lola married
Tommy Dee Tidwell on May 1, 1927 at Newberg, AR. They moved to Washington in 1949, where Mr. Tidwell was involved in construction.
Mrs. Tidwell lived in East Wenatchee until she moved to Arizona around 1979, where she had presently lived.
Lola had been active in the Southern Baptist Church. While living in the Wenatchee area, she was a member of the Wenatchee Valley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Lou Hardy of Phoenix; one son, Kenneth W. Tidwell of Seattle; one sister, Pearl Rush and her brother, Charles Cheatum, both of Melbourne, AR; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy, on February 6, 1965.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 1999 at Telford's Chapel of the Valley with Pastor Bob Bauer officiating. Interment
will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.

R. M. "Max" Raymond
R. M. "Max" Raymond, 88, of Wenatchee, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, at Central Washington Hospital.
He lived in Seattle and Yakima before moving to the Okanogan Valley in the early 1930s. He lived in Wenatchee for 41 years. He was superintendent of appraisers with the Washington State Highway Department. He retired in 1972.
Survivors include his wife, Luella of Wenatchee; and a daughter, Mary Page Reed of Wenatchee.
At his request, no services will be held.

Norman Dee Redthunder
Norman Dee Redthunder, 50, of Nespelem, died Sunday, April 11, 1999, at his home.
Survivors include a son, Robert of Auburn; three sisters, Jeannie Moon, Dorothey Camarena and Joanne Redthunder, all of Nespelem; and four brothers, Kenneth Redthunder of Wapato, Willford Redthunder and Jackson Redthunder, both of Nespelem, and Keith Redthunder of Elmer City.
Evening services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Nez Perce Longhouse in Nespelem. Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at the Nez Perce Longhouse. Burial will follow at the Chief Joseph Cemetery.

Lola C. Tidwell, 92, of Phoenix, Ariz., and a former longtime resident of the Wenatchee area, died Tuesday, April 13, 1999, in Phoenix.
She moved to Washington state in 1949. She lived in East Wenatchee until moving to Arizona around 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Lou Hardy of Phoenix, Ariz.; a son, Kenneth W. Tidwell of Seattle; a sister, Pearl Rush of Melbourne, Ark.; and a brother, Charles Cheatum of Melbourne, Ark.
