Margaret B. Keagle
7/24/1911 - 11/13/2003

Margaret B. Keagle, age 92 of
Bellingham, born in Sacred
Heart, Minnesota, the third of five
children of Tennes and Elizabeth
Aase. The family moved to the Bow-
Edison area of Skagit County in 1942.
After working for a time at the Whidbey
Island Naval Air Station, Evelyn
married Walter Deming
and joined him at his home just north
of Bellingham. They enjoyed
traveling, hunting and fishing with
friends and family, gardening, events
at the Grange and the Cattleman’s
Association.
Their time together was changed by the
onset of Evelyn’s progressive
dementia. Walter supported her with
tender patience and cared for her in
their home until August of this year.
As various parts of her memory and
personality were lost, one aspect was
unchanging: she was always glad for
time with her family and friends.
Evelyn is survived by Walter, her
children, Peter (Linda) Arnold, Trudy
(Bob Lee) Arnold, and Perry (Jennifer)
Arnold, beloved grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, her sisters Julia
(Art) Johnson, Bernice (Lawrence)
Hansen, Ruth (Bruce) Sexton, all of
Bow, and her brother Burton Aase of
Winthrop, and a host of nephews and
nieces.
Visitation will be held at Westford
Funeral Home Tuesday from 12-5 PM.
Burial at Bow passed away November 12,
2003 at St. Joseph Hospital surrounded
by his family. He was married Elsie Bjarnason on August
24, 1938 and had one son, Gerald.
Hugh loved to golf and garden and in
his younger days he was an avid
hunter. He was a boilermaker for most
of his life and belonged to the Int’l
Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local
#709. Hugh also loved to travel.
He was preceded in born in China on March 16, 1920. Chan
passed away
October 6, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital
after a short illness. Mac was death by his first
wife, Dorothy (Glover) McIntyre.
Mac will be sadly missed by his son,
Dean McIntyre; daughter-in-law,
Philomena; grandchildren and great-
grandchildren in BC, Canada; Mac’s 2nd
wife, Marjorie (Bischoff) McIntyre of
Illinois; his two sisters, Mina and
Helen; brother-in-law, Howard; nieces,
nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-
nephews, and many, many friends.
