Donna Lea Wolfe
10/9/1937- 3/6/2004

Donna Lea Wolfe, age 66, of Bothell, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2004 in Seattle, after a short battle with cancer.
She was born October 9, 1937 in Lynden, to Donald and Eunice (Jarvis) Bradley.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan Pritchard.
Donna is survived by her husband, Ronald Wolfe of Bothell; sons, Dennis, John (Sonja), and Brian Aemmer of Bellingham; and daughter, Suzan Aemmer of Bellingham.
Also survived by grandchildren, Carlyn, Derek, Jenny Aemmer, and Tanner Hanson; and 3 sisters, along with a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center ~ at Contributions, J5-200, P.O. Box 19024, Seattle, WA 98109-1024.
Graveside Services will be held at Bayview Cemetery on Monday, March 15 at 10:30 A.M., followed by a Celebration of Donna's Life at Westford's Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.

James Patrick Gerard Zender
11/21/1939-4/2/2004

Jim went home to be with the Lord after a four year battle with cancer on April 2, 2004.
The youngest of eleven children, he was born to Jacob and Catherine Zender on November 21, 1939 in Bellingham, WA.
On September 4, 1965, he married the love of his life and soul mate, Mary Ann Ligocki at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Lynden.
His strong Christian faith came through in all his works and deeds and touched everyone who knew him.
A 34-year member of Assumption Catholic Church, Jim served his parish in many capacities including as Pastoral Council member, Lay Eucharistic Minister at Mass and to the Homebound and Nursing Homes, Assumption School Parents Club and Buildings and Grounds Committee.
He always made an effort to attend daily mass whenever his work and health allowed.
Jim was a stand out athlete at Mount Baker High School.
He was Whatcom County's Basketball scoring champion in 1956 and was named to the All State team in 1957.
In 1994, he was named a member of the Mount Baker High School Basketball "Team for the Ages" by the Bellingham Herald.
He was also a member, with his eight brothers, of the Deming Loggers Semi-Pro Baseball team who, in 1956, placed second in the nation in Wichita, Kansas.
Jim also played several seasons with the Bellingham Bells.
Jim had a lifelong passion for music.
He and his wife, Mary Ann, performed as "The Zenders" at private clubs and lounges throughout Northwest Washington for over 35 years.
In 2002, he accomplished a longtime goal of recording a CD of his own songs.
He was a partner in Zee Brothers Logging and Trucking along with his eight brothers and two brothers-in-law from 1958 until his retirement in 2000.
Affectionately known as "Black Beard", his field service mechanicing skills were respected throughout the Logging community.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bernie, Nick, Jake, and Dan.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Mary Ann; six children, Chet and wife, Lisa, Matt and wife, Dawn, Ann-Marie Wilkerson and husband, Jim, Shari Nieuwendorp and husband Terry, Todd and wife, Miriam and Keith; ten grandchildren, Amy, Katie, Emily, Ty, Austin, Jake, Troy, Anna, Natalie, and Max; brothers, Pete and wife, Ellyn, Dick and wife, Betty, John and wife, Celine, and Lawrence "Red" and wife, Beverly; sisters, Mary Williamson and husband, Lee, Kay Cox and husband, Dennis; sisters-in-law, Lenore, Pearl, Iris Zender; and numerous other relatives.

Jeanne Jacqueline Graham
12/21/1921- 7/22/2004

Jeanne J. Graham, age 82 of Bellingham, passed away peacefully in her home on Thurs., July 22, 2004 after a lengthy, valiant battle with cancer.
She was born on Dec. 21, 1921 in Detroit, MI, to Charles and Norma (Paulsen) Jewell.
Jeanne was an active member of the Rome Grange and of the Bellingham Emblem Club.
Jeanne graduated from Bellingham High in June of 1940, after which she worked at the Pulp Mill for a short time.
She was voted Blossom Time Queen in Spring of 1942.
Later in 1942, she married Orville "Short" Constant, a marriage that ended at his death in July of 1982 of heart trouble.
They raised horses including some thoroughbreds.
Over the years they fished many lakes in B.C., always returning with a good supply of canned or frozen trout.
Jeanne and Bob Graham met in 1983 and began a friendship which grew over the years.
After a 9 year courtship they married in March of 1992.
They loved working on the land but also took time for fishing, bowling, dancing and travel.
She is survived by her husband Robert C. Graham of Bellingham; brother Jack (Ellie) Jewell of Entiat, WA; and brother Charles (Jean) Jewell of East Wenatchee, WA.

Terence Peter Byrne
12/1/1922-7/17/2004

Terence Peter Byrne, age 81 of Bellingham, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2004.
He was born December 1, 1922 to Peter and Hannah Byrne in Seattle, WA.
Upon graduation from Franklin High School in Seattle, he began working for Boeing on the development of the B-29, being the youngest member of the crew.
After his employment with Boeing, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, traveling to many destinations including Japan at the end of WWII.
Peter was then employed by the telephone company as a cable splicer and was relocated to Bellingham.
He married Rose Mary Federico on July 29, 1967, and they shared many wonderful times working and playing at their home on Marine Drive.
Peter was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
He also belonged to the ... Lodge.
During his later years, you could find him almost daily at the Senior Center for lunch and his weekly game of pool.
Peter was a terrific grandfather who loved taking care of his Hannah and Mia.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Mary Byrne, who passed away March 17, 1988; his parents; and sister, Rose Mary Lucchini. Pete is survived by his daughter, Carol Stromberg and her husband, Jon; his two prize granddaughters; brothers, James Byrne and his wife, Bonnie, and Joseph Byrne and his wife, Darlene; sisters, Catherine Kopkas and her husband, Frank; and his special sister, Margaret Byrne and brother-in-law, Jerry Lucchini; along with many nieces and nephews and friend, Joann Jewel.

A Vigil Service will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 21st at 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Assumption Church on Thursday, July 22nd at 10:30 am, followed by a reception at Westford's Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.
A Graveside Service will follow the reception at Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline, WA.
