Helen G. Turner, age 87, born May 11, 1919 to Henry and Alice
(Harrison) Miller. Helen was the
granddaughter of the William Harrison
family, a pioneer Skagit County family.
Helen death by her
husband Lewis H. Turner, Jr. in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter Janice
and husband Carl Roehl, Jr. of
Bellingham, grandson Carl F. Roehl III,
great-granddaughter Mary Helen Roehl
and several cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at
Westford Funeral Home on Tues. June 13
at 11 AM followed by Cemetery. A lunch
reception will follow at Westford’s

Jane Clark, age 88 born February 23, 1918 in Bellingham to
Dwight and Edith (Pike) Mabbott. Jane
graduated from Whatcom High and later
earned her degree at WWU. She death by her
husband, Richard, in 1998. Jane is
survived by daughter Sandra (Tony)
Abrams of Olympia; son Richard (Karen)
Clark of Bellingham; daughters Judy
(Larry) Thaut of Bellingham and
Caroline (Brian) Baldie of Samish
Island, WA; sons Tom (Janet) Clark and
John (Nancy) Clark, both of Bellingham;
16 grandchildren and 19 great-
grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild
and sister Mary Hopley of Samish
Island, WA.
A family service will be held at
Westford Funeral Home. A public
reception will be held Thursday,
October 26th from 1-3 PM at the home of
John and Nancy Clark, 2133 Walnut St.,
Bellingham.

Charles and Finer Byrd. Bessie death by husband
Paul in 1994, sister Mae and brothers
Howard, Floyd and Bud. Bessie is
survived by daughter Norma (Clarence)
Morgenthaler, grandsons Paul (Yvonne),
Mark (Karen), David (Debbie), great-
granddaughter Emma, step-great-
grandchildren Shawn and Elizabeth, all
of Whatcom County and sister Eva (John)
Sparks of Omak.
Visitation will be held at Westford
uneral Home on Thursday, November 2
from 3-5 PM. Graveside Services will be
held at Greenacres passed away
October 17, 2006 in Bellingham. He was
married his childhood
sweetheart Elois Bown in Bellingham.
He has worked as a mechanic all of his
life here in Whatcom County. When car
parts got to heavy, he went to
lawnmowers.
Archie was preceded in Cemetery on Monday, Oct 23 at
2 pm.
Terry Robert Mitchell
3/13/1941 - 10/18/2006
Terry Mitchell, age 65 of Bellingham
born Mar. 13, 1941 in Chicago, IL to
Robert and Ellen Mitchell. In his
early years he enjoyed sports cars,
boating and playing golf. Terry’s
interest in Spanish Exploration and
legends such as the Sasquatch brought
him to the Pacific Northwest. Terry
was a historian, toy inventor, property
manager, artist and entrepreneur.
Some of his notable inventions include
the “Slurp”- rated Toy of the Year in
1966 and the Rocketbal/Go-Frrr Ball.
The family wishes to thank the Whatcom
Hospice staff and his close friends
for their loving care and support
during the last few months.
Terry was preceded in death by his
parents and his brother Bob. He is
survived by his brother Dennis (wife
Bonnie) Mitchell of New Brighton, MN,
brother Jim (wife Marsha) Mitchell of
Vadnais Heights, MN, sister in law
Grace Mitchell of Shoreview, MN, aunt
Eleanor Boyle of Lansing, IL and nieces
Kristin, Michelle, Christine and
Kelly.
