Nancy was death by her
parents, and sister, Alberta Clemens.
She is survived by her children,
Colleen McKee of Bellingham, Bob Murphy
of Las Vegas, Guy (Diane) Murphy of
Bellingham, Wes Murphy of Valencia, CA;
daughter-in-law Sue Murphy of
Bellingham; sisters Betty Levy of
Ferndale and Marylou (Ken) Bursic of
Arkansas; brother “Boz” Bartle of
Minnesota; grandchildren Jason, Corrie,
James, Cliff, Tony, and Jamie; great-
grandchildren Star, Delaina, Kyria,
Patrick, Keile; and numerous nieces and
nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be
held at Westford Funeral Home on
Thursday, September 25 at 2 PM followed
by a reception across the street at
Westford’s Broadway Hall.
Dorothea 'Dottie' Stewart
7/15/1921 - 9/19/2008
Dorothea Stewart was died of complications from
pneumonia in Bellingham, WA. She grew
up in Palo Alto and graduated from San
Jose State College and got her teaching
credential from Stanford University.
She passed away,
she died after
only a few years. She thoroughly
enjoyed being a step-mom to his grown
children, and being part of their
lives.
After George married
Robert Stewart. They had twelve years
together before he death, she moved to Bellingham to
be near her daughter Dianne.
Of Dottie’s four children, one
daughter, Karen, died in an
accident 18 years ago. Dottie leaves
behind her daughter Dianne Doan and her
partner Shelia Todd; daughter Marilynn
Smith and husband Rusty; and her son’s
widow Donna Doan. She will be greatly
missed by her special friend Don
Wight. She also leaves five
grandchildren: Karen Johnson, Amy
Edwards, Jessica Weiler, Benjamin Doan,
and Kamela Doan. In addition, she
leaves eight great-grandchildren, and a
number of stepchildren and step-
grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00
p.m. on Thursday, September 25, at St.
John’s Lutheran Church, 2530 Cornwall
Ave.
Porferia 'Pearly' Omania Metz

Pearly Omania Metz born in Santander, Cebu
Province, Philippines on May 1, 1972.
Pearly fought a long battle against
Lupus and Pulmonary Artial
Hypertension. She was held and
cherished by her husband, John Metz,
during her married in and in the same
passed away on
February 14, 2009 in Bellingham. Ernie
was death by his
parents. Ernie is survived numerous
friends in Whatcom and Skagit County.
At Ernie’s request, there will no
services. Donations are suggested to
your local Food Bank.

Elsie Elliott, age 84, born January 14, 1925 in Wolf Lake,
Minnesota to Emil and Elma Arola.
