Caroline M. 'Bobbie' Morgan
9/13/1926 - 2/24/2009
Caroline was nicknamed Bobbie by her
brothers and sisters even before she
was passed away suddenly but peacefully on
February 24th and will be greatly
missed by Bob and all of her family and
friends.
A Celebration of Bobbie’s Life will be
held at Westford Funeral Home on
Saturday, March 14 at 1 PM followed by
a reception across the street at
Westford’s Broadway Hall.
Beverly M. Petersen
11/7/1924 - 3/3/2009
Beverly Peterson, 84, was married on July 25, 1947 to the
late Albert A. Petersen of Nebraska.
She is survived by her four daughters,
Irene Petersen of Bellingham; Kathy
Wheeler of Bellingham; Diane Cook of
Eugene, OR and Jayne Witman of Lynden;
seven grandchildren; eight great-
grandchildren.
Beverly was a very active member of the
First Christian Church. She was also a
strong advocate and volunteer for
disabled people in Whatcom Co. She
enjoyed crocheting and baking. Her
children, grandchildren and great-
grandchildren were the light of her
life.
Visitation will be offered from noon to
2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2009 at
Westford Funeral Home, 1301 Broadway
with a Memorial Service following at
4:00 p.m. at First Christian Church,
495 E Bakerview Road with a reception
to follow. Memorials are suggested to
the First Christian Church.
Richard Alan Estes
5/15/1955 - 2/11/2009
Richard Alan Estes passed away
February 14, 2009. She was married Robert Clemenson, Jr. on April
12, 1947. She retired from Bellingham
Senior Center as the head cook in
1994.
Gladys is survived by her children
Randy (Melva) Clemenson of Bellingham,
Dean Clemenson of Granite Falls, and
Terri (Hank) Maleng of Acme; 12
grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;
sister Bertha Shafer of Stanwood; and
brother Gib West of Portland. She was
preceded in Cemetery in Snohomish on
Tuesday, February 17 at 2 PM, with a
memorial to follow March 28 at 1 PM at
the home of Randy Clemenson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to the American Lung Association
of Washington, 2625 Third Ave.,
Seattle, WA 98121.
Mary McGlinn Schacht
7/25/1909 - 3/2/2009
Mary McGlinn Schacht, age 99 of
Bellingham, born July 25, 1909 in
Bellingham to Mr. and Mrs. Thad
McGlinn, a pioneer family of Northwest
Washington. She attended grade and
high schools in Bellingham, graduating
from the then Fairhaven High School in
1927. Mary attended Forrest Ridge
Convent in Seattle for two years and
spent her remaining two years at the
University of Washington where she was
an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta
Sorority.
In 1933, she and Richard F. Schacht, a
Skagit County Attorney, were death by her
husband, and daughters Gretchen
Bendtsen and Paula Kovatovich. Mary is
survived by children, R. Fred Schacht,
Jr. (Margy), Kenneth G. Schacht
(Maggie), Julie Moody (Dennis), and
Kristin Manley (Scott); son-in-law Tom
Kovatovich; 18 grandchildren and 26
great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to thank Highland
Care Center and Hospice for their
excellent care of their mother.
Donations are suggested to Hospice.
There will be a private family service
at a later date.
