Jake Steiner, of Glacier, WA, logger,
was passed away March 23, 2007. He was death by his wife Trenna Erickson
and son Dallas Shirra. He is survived
by his son David Shirra (wife Joanne)
of Blaine, granddaughters Laurie Walker
(husband Terry) of Sumner, WA, Shannon
Breivik (husband Brad) of Blaine and
Crystal Waisanen of Mt. Vernon, great-
grandchildren Miranda, Michael,
Breanne, Lonnie, Rachel, Jessica,
Jenniffer, Christopher, cousins Jamie
and Kurt Gilday of Blaine and Julie
Collier of Seattle. The family wishes
to thank the staff at Bellingham
Healthcare for their excellent care of
Russell.
Memorials may be made to the Bellingham
Healthcare Activity Fund, 1200
Birchwood Ave, Bellingham, 98225.
Graveside Services will be held at
Blaine passed away February 3, 2002 at his
residence. He was married
Louise M. Holbrook September 6, 1947 in
Bellingham, WA. He served in the U.S.
Navy during WW II. He worked 40 years
at Westford Funeral Home where he was
funeral director and manager. Jack was
a member of Our Saviour's Lutheran
Church, past president of Bellingham
Central Lions Club, past master Pierre
B. Cornwall Lodge #289 F and AM, past
president of NW Shrine Club, and a
member of Scottish Rite and the BPOE.
He served many years as secretary of WA
State Seniors Golf Assoc., was a member
of Bellingham Golf and Country Club and
a long time member of WA State
Officials Assoc.
Preceded in Cemetery followed by a 2:00
p.m. memorial service at Our Saviour's
Lutheran Church. Memorials may be made
to Our Saviour's Lutheran Church or
Whatcom Hospice.
