Christine Hauk, age 92, of Bellingham, passed away in Bellingham, on August 25, 2003.
She was born on June 14, 1911 in B'ra D'or, Nova Scotia, Canada, to Joseph and Mary (O'Neill) McIntyre.
She has lived in Bellingham, for 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garnet Hauk.
Christine is survived by daughters, Pamela Hauk of Bellingham, and Cheryl (William) Burklow of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Christina Cole of Oak Harbor, and William Burklow, III of Edmonds; great-grandchildren, Samantha Jo Burklow and Alexander Cole; and her sister, Tilly Ross of Ontario, Canada.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Assumption Church.
Graveside services will be held at Ten Mile Cemetery on Friday, August 29, 2003 at 1:30 PM, followed by a Memorial Reception at the Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.
Olga Marie Webstad

Olga Marie Webstad, age 94, of Bellingham, passed away August 31, 2003.
She was born on March 11, 1909 in Bellingham, to Emil and Emma (Pederson) Larson.
She attended Whatcom High School and spent her entire life here in Whatcom County.
Olga married Reidar Webstad in 1936.
She worked for 30 years at Kelstrup Realtors and also worked some time at Kress Dime Store.
She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Reidar, in 1991.
Olga is survived by her sons, Howard and Norm Webstad of Bellingham; her sister, Margaret Haugen of Bellingham; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 3 from 12-4:00 p.m. at Westford Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside Services will be held at Bayview Cemetery on Thursday, September 4 at 11:00 a.m.
Steven E. Aeschliman
2/19/1953 - 9/15/2003
Steven Aeschliman, age 50, of Bellingham, passed away September 15, 2003.
He was born February 19, 1953 in San Diego, CA, to Foster and Doris (Miller) Aeschliman.
He moved to the Bellingham area in his youth, graduated from high school in Bellingham, and then served in the United States Navy from 1970–1976.
Steven worked at WWU for six years as a floor layer.
He is survived by his daughters, Tara Tromblee of Nevada, and Erica MacNamura of Seattle, one granddaughter, Aaliyah, as well as many other relatives.
Mildred Hartelroad

Mildred Hartelroad, age 93, of Bellingham, passed away September 11, 2003.
She was born December 7, 1909 in Moscow, Idaho, to Harry and Nellie (Washburn) Sheerer.
She moved to the Bellingham area in 1922, where she met and married William Hartelroad in Mt. Vernon, in 1929.
She was a member of First Christian Church and also a past member of Rome Grange and North Bellingham Grange.
Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, William Hartelroad, in 1997.
She is survived by two sisters, Hazel Bussanich of Bellingham, and Mary Johnson of Blaine; two nephews, Harry Bussanich of Bellingham, and Larry Ploghoft of Blaine; and one niece, Karen Levin of Everett.
Katherine Olson Day
12/15/1970 - 9/1/2003
Katie passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2003, following more than two and a half years of battling a rare form of cancer.
She was born December 15, 1970 to Don and Karen Olson and had lived in Whatcom County, for 32 years.
She is survived by her parents; husband, Shawn and daughter, Brittni Day of Bellingham; brother, Charlie Olson and wife, Kim and their children, Andy and Kailey of Lynden; and brother, Chris Olson of Bellingham.
Katie will be remembered for her caring personality and her always-present sense of humor.
Before her illness, she worked for the Mt. Baker School District as an instructional aid at Mt. Baker Junior High for 7 years.
Katie liked to vacation in warm, sunny places and she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
She liked to paint and write poetry.
During her illness, she volunteered her time as a counselor with the Whatcom County Pregnancy Center.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Mt. Baker Junior High, Hospice staff, Dr. Binder's staff and the staff of Country Clinic for their support and care during Katie's illness.
Memorials may be made to the Whatcom County Pregnancy Center.
Visitation will be at Westford Funeral Home Thursday, September 4th from 5 – 7 PM.
Funeral Services will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Friday, September 5th at 1:30 PM followed by Graveside Services at Bayview Cemetery.
A Memorial Reception will follow at Westford's Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway.
Michael Kack, Sr.
6/29/1925 - 9/15/2003
Michael Kack, Sr. passed away September 15, 2003 in Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
He was born June 29, 1925 in Chisolm, Minnesota, to Michael and Helen Kack.
Michael married Marilyn (Knox) August 30, 1947 in San Francisco, where Michael was in the Navy.
They enjoyed 56 years together.
Michael worked for Transamerica/Occidental Life Insurance Company as a very successful salesman and received many achievement awards.
Michael was an active citizen of each community he lived in.
Many unselfish volunteer hours were spent helping others through various service clubs and organizations.
These include his beloved Catholic Church as a 4th degree Knights of Columbus.
He was a member of Rotary International, Jr. Chamber of Commerce, Young Men's Institute and Sierra Club of El Camino Real.
He became involved passionately with the Lions Club, holding many positions including Zone Chairman.
He served as white cane/sight conservation chairman, and was chosen Lion of the Year 1993-94.
Michael received 3 certificates of appreciation awards, one each from: the Newark Lions, the Oakland Blind Center, and the Mt. Diablo Blind Center.
Michael received 3 District Governor Awards, the International President's award and was a Melvin Jones Fellow.
During summers in Idaho, he played with a country western group and entertained at Veteran's Hospital in Spokane, and at various Senior Citizen gatherings.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing each summer in Idaho, where he and Marilyn entertained family and friends.
Michael is survived by: son, Michael Kack, Jr. of Hayden Lake, Idaho; daughter, Maureen DeRoos of Nanaimo, B.C., and grandchildren, Jocelyn and Alex.
A family service will be held 11 A.M., Monday, September 22, at St. Pious Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
