Ethel Margaret "Snooky" Plummer
4/6/1934 - 5/29/2004
Ethel Margaret Plummer, age 70 of
Bellingham born April 6,
1934 in Everson to Charles (Chas) and
Ella Miller. Ethel attended Harmony
Elementary, Assumption Catholic, and
Bellingham High schools. A long time
Whatcom County resident, Ethel briefly
resided in North Carolina, Montana, and
Seattle.
Following high school Ethel death by her
husband Jake Plummer, three brothers
and three sisters.
She is survived by brother Ray “Tuffy”
Miller of Bellingham, children Fred
(Deborah) Price of Ferndale, Mike Price
of Bellingham, Ron Price of Seattle,
John (Donna) Plummer of Woodinville,
Tom (Lori) Plummer of Lynnwood, seven
granddaughters, one grandson, one great
grandson, and numerous nieces and
nephews.
Memorials may be made to Whatcom County
Hospice. Visitations will be held at
Westford Funeral Home on Thursday, June
3rd from 1-7 pm and Friday, June 4th
from 9am-1pm. Funeral Services will be
at Westford Funeral Home on Friday,
June 4th at 1:00 pm, followed by a
Graveside Service at Ten Mile born to Ellis and
Sarah Johnson in Point Roberts, WA on
May 22, 1921. He was 83 when he passed
away on May 28, 2004, surrounded by his
daughter and 2 granddaughters. Melvin
worked on numerous Alaska fishing boats
in his youth and then went to work at
the Port of Bellingham as a pile butt
until his retirement in 1974. He then
filled his time by working at Joe’s
Gardens until the last few months of
his life. He truly loved working with
the ground and making things grow. He
was a WWII veteran with the 736th
Medium Tank Battalion-Special Unit-A
Company. He especially enjoyed
attending the Battalion reunions and
seeing the men he served with. For
many years of his life, he was an
expert wild bird hunter and river
fisherman.
He was preceded, last year, in born February 3, 1910 in a
sod house in Sioux County, Nebraska.
She was the youngest death.
Mom was passed away in 1999 at which time
Rosetta moved to Bellingham,
Washington to live with her son Lonnie
(Larry) Brotzler and his wife Janet.
During her life she enjoyed sewing,
many different crafts, gardening, and
she was very active in her church.
Rosetta was given great comfort by
reading her Bible on a daily basis.
She is survived by her son Lonnie
(Larry) Brotzler and his wife Janet of
Bellingham, WA; a granddaughter and
her husband, Tiffany and Ben Morton of
Bellingham, WA; and a grandson and his
wife, Chris and Franki Brotzler
residing in Crestline, CA.
She will be buried
next to her beloved
husband at Forest Lawn passed away
peacefully on June 2, 2004 at the age
of 99. A loving daughter, wife,
mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
sister, aunt and friend to many during
her long and loving life. Vera was
death. She is survived
by her daughter and son-in-law Carlye
and Paul Teel, grandchildren Paul
(Skip) Teel, his wife Christine,
Jennifer Teel, great grandchildren
Henry and Spencer Teel, brother John R.
Kienast, nieces Pat Woodburn, Joanne
Rinehart and nephews Jack Kienast, Gary
Kienast, and George Sharninghouse, many
grandnephews, family and close friends.
