- Yvonne C. Coushman, 64, Wausau, was a school teacher; a son lives in Tomahawk (1/17/03; memorial fund being established).

Obituaries appearing in the Feb. 18, 2003, issue of the Tomahawk Leader include:
- Richard "Rick" Pietschmann, 47, apparent heart attack, 1973 graduate of Tomahawk High School, owned The Carpet Store for seven years, installer in telecommunications field (2/10/03).
- William (Tim) Worley Gillett Jr., 70, Liberty, Mo., moved to Tomahawk in 1970, owned Silver Birch Resort and Tomahawk Motor Hotel, executive producer of three movies with two filmed in area (2/3/03).

- Albert Dirkx, 79, Harrison, had been employed by Milwaukee Transit Service and Milwaukee County Parks Division, moved to Harrison in 1961, farmed and employed by Sacred Heart Hospital in maintenance, retiring 1986 (4/11/03).
