Agnes G. Feuker, 88
ELMWOOD - Agnes G. Feuker, age 88, of Elmwood died Monday, April 19, 1999, at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
She was born April 3, 1911, in Elmwood, the daughter of Edward and Mabel (Denning) Bates. She grew up in the Elmwood community.
She married Wilbur C. Feuker, May 5, 1931, in Elmwood. After marriage, they farmed in the Nippersink area of the Town of Weston, Dunn County, rural Elmwood, for many years. They moved into the Village of Elmwood in 1965. He died in 1989 and she has been a resident of the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home for the last year-and-a-half.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society and taught CCD in the home. Her hobbies included flowers, sending greeting cards and keeping a daily diary.
She is survived by: three daughters, Rosanna Einum of Moore, Okla., Mary Lou (Otto) Kurschinski of Elmwood, Kathleen (Lynn) Erickson of Killeen, Tex.; two sons, John (Kathy) Feuker of Elmwood and Bernard (Gail) of Chippewa Falls; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Angeline Wolf of Elmwood and Marie Styer of Menomonie; two brothers, Charles and James Bates, both of Elmwood.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Wilbur; and three brothers, LaVern, Clarence and Lawrence Bates.
Funeral services were Friday, April 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood with Rev. Varkey Velickakathu officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Glenn L. Benson, 81
PRESCOTT - Glenn Lewis Benson, age 81, of Minneapolis died Monday, April 19, 1999, at the Minnesota Veterans Home in Minneapolis, where he had been a resident for five years.
He was born Jan. 2, 1918, in Red Wing to Oscar and Mary (Bach) Benson. A graduate of Red Wing Central High School, he attended Dunwoody Institute and worked for his brother in the bakery business in Prescott.
He served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 23, 1941, to Oct. 21, 1945, during World War II. He lived in the Twin Cities and the Red Wing area, working at various jobs.
He is survived by: one sister, Gerry (Willie) Luetje of Frederic; nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were three brothers and four sisters.
Funeral was Thursday, April 22, at Mahn Family Funeral Homes, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Walker officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
Bill P. Fox, 60
Bill P. Fox, age 60, of Ellsworth died Thursday, April 22, 1999, in Menomonie.
He was born Sept. 7, 1938, in Durand, the son of William C. and Alice (Gilmore) Fox. He attended two years of high school in Durand and graduated in 1956 from Ellsworth Senior High School. He married Joan Fetzer Feb. 11, 1961, at St. John's Catholic Church in Plum City. He drove truck for Hines Transfer for 22 years and currently for D.E.M. Federated Trucking.
He enjoyed his work and collecting John Deere tractors.
He is survived by: his wife, Joan of Ellsworth; two brothers, Galen (Pat) Fox of Menomonie and Phillip (Jane) Fox of Verona; three sisters, Loretta (Bob) Smith of Federal Way, Wash., Marlys (Halsey) Hall of Minneapolis and Phyllis (Stan) Lehman of Minneapolis; father-in-law, Wallace Fetzer of Elmwood; two nephews, Warren Fox of Ellsworth and Jim (Diane) Fox of Waupaca; niece, Mary Jo (Mike) Coffey of Fall Creek. He is further survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Warren.
Mass of Christian Burial was Monday, April 26, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Ellsworth with Father Thomas Donaldson officiating. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery, Plum City.

HAGER CITY - There will be a committal service for Georgia (Bun) Austin on Saturday, May 1, 1999, at noon at the Trenton Cemetery in Hager City.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Also, a gathering of friends and relatives will be held at the American Legion Club Rooms at 218 W. 4th St., Red Wing, at 1 p.m.
Lila H. Forster, 84
PLUM CITY - Lila H. Forster, age 84, of Durand died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at the Plum City Care Center, Plum City.
She was born Aug. 19, 1914, the daughter of Sever and Enger (Steen) Johnson, in the Lyster community of Buffalo County and raised there. She married Clarence Forster Oct. 13, 1931, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima, rural Durand. After marriage, they lived and farmed in the Bear Creek area of rural Durand. They moved into the City of Durand in 1960. Her husband Clarence died in 1963. After his death, she worked at the Durand Hospital and Care Center for 17 years. She has been a resident of the Plum City Care Center for the past two years.
She is survived by: one son, John (Ethel) of Fremont, Neb.; three daughters, Esther (Dallas) Gilles of Plum City, Cleo (Andrew) Slinkard of Mesa, Wash., Maxine (David) Heitman of Nelson; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and one brother, Sidney Johnson of Beloit.
She was preceded in death by, besides her husband: her parents; and three brothers, James, Melvin and Lloyd Johnson.
Funeral services were to be Tuesday, April 27, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Durand. Rev. Edward Shuttleworth was to officiate. Burial was to be in the Holy Rosary Cemetery-Lima, rural Durand.

Derrick J. Marson, 19
ELMWOOD - Derrick J. Marson, age 19, of Elmwood died Friday, April 23, 1999, in the Township of Spring Lake, rural Elmwood, as a result of a motorcycle accident.
He was born March 15, 1980, in Menomonie, the son of James and Pamela (Freiberg) Marson. He attended elementary school in Menomonie. At age 14, he moved with his family to Elmwood. He joined the Army National Guard in 1997 and graduated from Elmwood High School in 1998. He was working at various jobs since graduation.
He is survived by: his parents; two brothers, Chad and Dennis, both of Elmwood; paternal grandmother, Arla Marson of Elmwood; maternal grandfather, Dennis Freiberg of Elmwood; maternal grandmother, Shirley Sand of Eau Galle; maternal great-grandmother, Lillian Freiberg of Spring Valley.
He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, John Marson, and a favorite great aunt and uncle, June and Louis Stoeklen.
Funeral services were to be Tuesday, April 27, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Elmwood with Rev. Martin Wagner officiating. Burial was to be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery-Hatchville, rural Spring Valley.

Robert E. Hannack, 75
SPRING VALLEY - Robert Edwin Hannack, age 75, of Spring Valley died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
He was born July 27, 1923, the son of Julius and Bertha (Lehman) Hannack in Weston Township, Dunn County. He was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith, was a long-time member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, Spring Valley, and presently a member of Wilson Lutheran Church, Wilson.
On March 1, 1946, he married Jeanette Johnson at the Wilson Lutheran Church. They lived in Elmwood from 1946 to 1954, when they moved to Spring Valley. They operated Hannack's Store in Spring Valley from 1962 until 1971.
Besides the store, he drove bus for many years. He drove for Halvorson Bus Line of Menomonie and Lee Line of Red Wing. He was a mail carrier in Spring Valley for 27 years, drove bus for Spring Valley Schools and also operated Fun Time Tours for many years.
Survivors include: four sons, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, Jack (Bonnie) Hannack of Spring Valley and their family, Aaron (Becky) and children, Jack Robert and James Aaron, and Travis and Jayden, Jerry (Julie) Hannack of Elmwood and their daughters, Kali and Kelsey, Jody of Spring Valley and his children, Shayna, Ashton and Julian, and Jeff (Jenny) Hannack of Spring Valley and their son, Trenton. He is also survived by: one brother, Don (Christ) Hannack of Menomonie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mabel Hannack of Spring Valley, Amy Johnson of Red Wing, Roy (JoAnn) Johnson of Spring Valley, Don (Doris) Johnson of Oakdale, Minn., and LaVern "Bud" Timm of Wilson; special friend, Carolyn Maves of Menomonie; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were: his parents; his wife, Jeanette, who died Aug. 2, 1997; a son, Jim; two brothers, Elmer and Harold Hannack; and one sister, Agnes Hannack.
Funeral services were Wednesday, April 28, at Wilson Lutheran Church. Rev. Michael Main officiated the service. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Spring Valley. Bearers were his grandchildren.

Margaret A. Blank, 57
Margaret Ann Blank, age 57, Red Wing, died Friday, April 23, 1999, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn.
She was born March 7, 1942, in Pine River, Minn., the daughter of Donald and Signe (Ness) Young. A 1959 graduate of Pequot Lakes (Minn.) High School, she attended Bemidji (Minn.) State University.
She married Joe Blank Feb. 6, 1961, in Bemidji, and they moved to Red Wing in 1962. She was a member of United Lutheran Church, Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post Auxiliary and the Pocahontas group with the Red Men Club. She was known as "Granny B" for sewing quilts, toys and clothes for Toys for Tots, church, benefits and other people. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and karaoke.
She is survived by: her husband; four children, Joseph (Deborah) of Red Wing, Leonard of Ellsworth, Jane (Lance) Morkwed of Lake City, Minn., and Kenneth (Leslie) of Sumerduck, Va.; nine grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy (Dale) Brown of Jenkins, Minn.
Preceding her in death were two brothers, Donald and John Young.
Funeral was to be Tuesday, April 27, at United Lutheran Church with the Rev. Andrew Smith officiating. Burial was to be in Oakwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were to be: Joseph, Kenneth and Leonard Blank, Gary Brown, Dawn Haase and Lance Morkwed. Honorary pallbearers were to be: Robert Blank, Dale Brown, Wilfred Christofferson, Beverly Ecklund, James Irvin Jr., LeRoy Steffenhagen, Harlen Stille, Bart Winkelar and Donald Young. Donald G. Boudreau, 73
HAGER CITY - Donald G. Boudreau, age 73, of Hager City died Saturday, April 24, 1999, at his home.
He was born June 21, 1925, in Aurora, Ill. He attended schools in Aurora. He entered the U.S. Navy at age 17 and served during the Korean Conflict.
He married Louise Freuh in 1953 and they lived in Aurora. They later divorced.
He moved to Mondovi in 1968, then to Hager City in 1977 and worked in maintenance at Interstate Medical Center for a number of years. He was a Past Commander of Burnson-Lillyblad VFW Post 1218, a member of the Leo C. Peterson American Legion Post 54, the DAV and Redmen's Club. He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by: one daughter, Linda (Roger) Bursaw of Independence; one granddaughter, Debbie (Jerry) Pientok of Eau Claire; one grandson, David Bursaw of Eau Claire; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Matthew Pientok of Eau Claire; and close friends, Linda Brandenburg and Charlie Chandler of Hager City.
His parents, one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 1, 1999, at 10 a.m. at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel, with Rev. Robert Lockert officiating. Burial will be in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Herbert J. Husby, 72
ELMWOOD - Herbert J. Husby, age 72, of Elmwood died Tuesday, April 27, 1999, at the Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
He was born June 9, 1926, in rural Menomonie, the son of Benjamin and Kathrine (Wolbert) Husby. He grew up in the Menomonie area, attended country school and St. Joseph's Catholic Elementary School. He graduated from Menomonie High School in 1944. He worked at various jobs in his early years. He decided he needed to learn a trade, so he attended Lee's School of Barbering in St. Paul.
He married Mary Welch Dec. 27, 1949, in Menomonie. They lived in Menomonie until 1954, when they moved to Elmwood, where he opened his own barber shop and barbered for 41 years. In 1969, they moved just east of Elmwood, where they also farmed. He has been a resident of Heritage of Elmwood since June of 1998, after suffering a stroke.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elmwood Rod and Gun Club, and Volunteer Fire Department. He served on the Elmwood Village Board and was a member of the Menomonie Moose Lodge.
He is survived by: his wife, Mary; two sons, Philip (Kris) of Hudson and Keith (Sue) of Plymouth, Minn.; a daughter, Sheila (Roger) Pelzel of Hudson; seven grandchildren; one sister, Helen Gallman of Menomonie; two brothers, Richard Husby of Menomonie and Eugene Husby of Eau Claire.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; two children, Kathryn and Dean Husby; two brothers, Lawrence and Francis Husby; and a sister, Margaret, in infancy.
Funeral services were Monday, May 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Elmwood with Rev. Varkey Velickakathu officiating. Burial was in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Town of Rock Elm, rural Elmwood.

Haven W. Miller, 65
HAGER CITY - Haven W. Miller, age 65, Lake City, Minn., died Wednesday, April 28, 1999, at Lake City Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1933, in Mazeppa, Minn., to Reinhart and Helen (Betcher) Miller, he lived on the family farm in Florence Township (Minn.) and attended rural school there. He also attended St. John's Lutheran School in Lake City. He joined the U.S. Army in February 1954 and was honorably discharged in February 1956.
He married Mary Ellen Sandborn May 12, 1956, in Lake City. They lived in the Lake City area and he worked at the Gould Foundry from 1956-68. In 1965, they moved to Mount Pleasant Township (Minn.), where he farmed until retiring in 1993. A member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lake City, he enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by: his wife; two sons, Charles (Verna) of Anchorage, Alaska, and Todd (Manon) of Hayfield, Minn.; one daughter, Vonnie (Ted) Johnson of Williamsburg, Va.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Arvid (Betty) Miller of Red Wing and Leland (Margie) Miller of Hager City; and six sisters, Mary Ann (Alfred) Hinck, Winifred Yorde, Melva (Fritz) Wiebusch and Delaine (Don) Klein, all of Lake City, Diane (Richard) Costello of Cannon Falls, Minn., and Nancy Johnson of Prior Lake, Minn.
Preceding him in death were one granddaughter, one sister and two brothers.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 1, at Calvary Baptist Church, Lake City, with the Rev. Lynn Holm officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Lake City. Memorials are preferred to the church.
