PHOENIX, AZ -- Gertrude Isabelle Rohrbeck, age 95, of Phoenix, AZ, died May 31, 2002. She was born in Janesville to Charles and Marie Boehm and has lived in Phoenix since 1965. Gertrude is survived and lovingly missed by her daughter, Nancy Conrady (Robert); 3 grandchildren: Steven Conrady, Deborah Block (Robert), and Craig Rudolph (Sandy); and 3 great-grandchildren: Leslie and Candace Block and Renee Rudolph. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Marie (Kohlow) Boehm; her husband, Julius; a daughter, Dorothy Rudolph; a grandson, Scott Conrady; and a granddaughter, Sandra Conrady.

MILTON -- Gloria May Hendrickson, age 65, of Milton, passed away on May 30, 2002, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 13, 1937, in Dayton, OH, the 5th child of Marvin and Cathryn (Smith) Tucker. Gloria grew up in Cataract, WI. She moved to Milton in 1956, where she spent the rest of her life. She retired from Jones Dairy Farm in Fort Atkinson in 1999, after many years of service. Gloria was an avid Bingo Player and loved the one armed bandit.
She is survived by her 3 children: a son, Anthony Hendrickson of Milton, 2 daughters, Denise Wendt of Rhinelander, WI, and Rhonda (Fiancee Tom Johnson) Hendrickson of Milton; 8 Grandchildren: Christopher (Treasa) Hendrickson, Joshua (Beth) Wendt, Ben Hendrickson, Debra (Jason) Wiley, Jacquelyn Benson, Nicole Benson, Jacob Hendrickson and Ariel Hendrickson; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Allyssa, Schyler, Brody, Brandon and Jessica; 3 brothers: Tad (Ruth) Tucker of Kendall, WI, Ronald (Zella) Tucker of Fullerton, CA, and Douglas (Pat) Tucker of Sparta, WI; 3 sisters: Doreen (John) Bergman of Milton, Jean (Norm) Winchell of Janesville, and June (Francis) Brown of Sparta, WI; many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Susan Bergman, of Milton. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Amelia Foster and Nancy Kobernick; and a brother, Bruce Tucker.
Services will be held at 12 noon on Mon., June 3, 2002, at ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME, Milton. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of the memorial service with Rev. Ronald Webber officiating. ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME assisted the family with arrangements.
She was loved by many, and will be deeply missed by all.

Ellsworth F. Buskirk on Oct. 18, 1947 in Rockford. Helen was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, the church Naomi Circle, and a past member of Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed reading, cooking and knitting. She was a loving grandma and great-grandma.
Survivors include 2 sons, Charles (Barbara) Buskirk of Ft. Atkinson, WI, and Ellsworth R. (Mabel) Buskirk of State College, PA; a daughter, Vergean (Bill) Knapp-Jurs of Janesville; 5 grandchildren: Emily Buskirk, Jean (Steve) Behl, John (Pam) Knapp, Laurel (Dave) Wiestard and Christine (Glenn) Hallet; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Gentner of Rockford, IL; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Ellsworth on Aug. 4, 1978; her parents; daughter, Bonnie Buskirk; a grandson, Andrew Buskirk; one granddaughter, Joan Knapp; 2 sisters, Anna Hubler and Marcia Mandeville; a son-in-law, William Knapp.

VIROQUA -- Burlie Campbell, age 71, formerly of Soldier's Grove, passed away on Sun., Oct. 28, 2001, at his home. He was born on July 11, 1930 in Soldier's Grove. He graduated from Soldiers Grove High School. On June 16, 1950, he married
Florence Koch. He owned a grocery store and a restaurant, both in Soldiers Grove. Later he sold insurance and was a real estate broker. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Burlie enjoyed many activities with family and friends, including golf, card games and cussing and pacing the living room when his beloved Packers were playing. He loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. His calls to ask about how the basketball and football games came out will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Florence of Viroqua, 3 children: Steve (Barbara) Campbell of Hurley, WI, Randy (Carol) Campbell of Janesville, Laura (Richard) Christenson of Mt. JANESVILLE --- Vernon Franklin Ramsdell, age 96, of Cedar Crest died June 16, 2003, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Menominee, MI on Oct. 7, 1906, the son of Bentley and Rosa (Durrenberger) Ramsdell. He moved to Janesville in 1945 and bought Allen Cleaners, changing the name to Dells Fine Cleaning, and in 1962 opened 3 coin operated Washeterias in Janesville and 1 in Racine. Vernon married
Cora Janet Hicks on Apr. 9, 1928 in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death in 1983. He married
Runa Herrald in 1984. She preceded him in death on May 13, 2000. He was a former City Councilman serving as President numerous times, Past President of the Salvation Army, Past President of the Lions Club, and he sang in the Barbershop Quartet called the Rusty Hinges.

Harold Johnson on Dec. 24, 1941, in Laona, WI. He preceded her in death on Aug. 27, 1976. They had been residents of Lake Mills for many years where she was retired from Hamlin Inc. Harold was a former Police Chief of Lake Mills. Jean was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Janesville, the Janesville Senior Center, and Kayra.
She is survived by her 4 children: Ron (Mary) Johnson of Janesville, Harold (Mary Sue) Johnson of Madison, Phyllis (Bob) Freeman of Janesville, and Patricia (Jeff) Kiel of Mt. Juliet, TN; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; a sister, Grace Schewe of Wausau; and son-in-law, Leroy Hoekman of Sun Prairie, WI. Elizabeth A. Olsen on June 3, 1994, in Beloit. He was employed by Sonoco Products in Rockton, IL and formerly McGilvra Electric in Beloit. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Al was a coach for the Giants, Cardinals, and Afton Allstars, with the Rock summer baseball program.
Survivors include his 2 sons and their mother, Aaron Michael, Bryan Anthony, and Elizabeth Ann of Janesville; a daughter and her mother, Vanessa Michelle and Amy Denise Harris of Washington, NC; his father, Hugo Rondon of Maracay, Venezuela; a brother, Alexander Sanchez of Maracay, Venezuela; cousins, Alba, Matt, and Carlos Rauschenbach, Maggie, Monte, and Justin Willis; and numerous other relatives and friends. JANESVILLE --- Gene "Geno" D. Boyd, age 73, of 3022 Bond Pl., died Fri., Dec. 19, 2003, at Mercy Hospital. He was born in West Allis on May 19, 1930, the son of Willard and Sadie (Nolan) Boyd, and was a 1950 graduate of Janesville High School. Gene served in the US Navy from 1950-1953 during the Korean Conflict. He was a sonar operator aboard the USS Witek and USS Caperton. During his youth and years in the Navy, Gene enjoyed boxing. He married
Delores V. Hastreiter on Oct. 4, 1952, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Janesville. Gene initially worked in the Computer Dept. at Parker Pen LTD. He later became co-owner and general manager of Pizza Hut in Janesville and was instrumental in the building of the west-side restaurant. He retired in 1988 after 25 years. Gene was extremely active in his community. He was a member of St. William Catholic Church where he served as Head Usher, was a scout leader and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Gene founded and coached both the CYO Boxing Club at St. William’s and the Janesville YMCA Boxing Club and was very active with the Parker High School Booster Club. His family was the focal point in his life and vacations were spent throughout the country with Sanibel Island, FL, and Door County, WI, holding special meaning.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; mother, Sadie Boyd of Janesville; 4 children: Michael (Victoria) Boyd, Daniel (Mary Jo) Boyd, Chuck (Linda) Boyd all of Janesville, Sandra (Bob) Blersch of Oconomowoc; 11 grandchildren: Matthew, Brittney, Mitchell, Bradley, Steven, Nicole, Danielle, Benjamin, Jacob, Ross, and Jared; brother, Bill (Barb) Boyd of Milton; sister, Joan (Dave) Algrem of Oshkosh; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
