DELAVAN - Sarah M. Hollinger, age 19, of N5740 Delaney Rd., died Sat., Nov. 3, 2001 at Meriter Hospital in Madison with her family by her side, after a courageous battle with lupus. She was born on Oct. 10, 1982 in Janesville, the daughter of Dean C. and Nancy (Niquet) Hollinger. She graduated from Whitewater High School in 2001, and was attending the University of WI - Whitewater majoring in psychology. She was an active member of FBLA during high school and was an honor student. Her friends and family were most important to her.
Sarah is survived by her parents, Dean and Nancy of Delavan; grandparents, Dean and Harriet Hollinger of Whitewater and Art and Leah Niquet of Delavan; an aunt, Kathy (Dr. Syd) Foster of Woodruff, WI; 2 uncles, Larry (Kaye) Niquet of Clinton, Jim (Noelle) Niquet of Delafield. Also surviving are Sarah's cousins: Sara, Jeff, Mark Foster, Kim and Ross Niquet, Ethan and Damon Niquet; and also many special friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tues., Nov. 6, 2001 at MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan, with Rev. Bob Groth officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Whitewater.
Jansen, Charles A.

JANESVILLE - Charles A. Jansen, age 79, died at his home on Sun. night, Oct. 21, 2001. Charles was born in Chicago, IL on Sept. 29, 1922, the son of Charles and Bertha (Zeirk) Jansen. He graduated from Kelvyn Park High School, Chicago. Charles served in the U.S. Army Battery C 497th AAA Battalion from Jan. 1943 until Jan. 1946 and was stationed in the Pacific Theater. He married
Marion Wardahl on June 8, 1951 in Chicago. Charles was employed by Active Electric Supply for many years. A Janesville resident since 1990, he was a member of Moose Lodge #197.
Survivors include his wife, Marion; 2 daughters, Sandra (Edward) Binkley of Harwood Heights, IL and Karen Kennah of Janesville; 2 grandchildren, Heather (Terry) Short and Christopher (Tina) Binkley. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, William.
Visitation will be held on Sat., Oct. 27, 2001, from 3 until 6 p.m. at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville. A service will be conducted by Rev. Michelle Timm of First Lutheran Church, Janesville at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

DARIEN - Rose B. Van Horn, age 92, of W7703 S&D Town Line Road, Darien, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002, at Shirley's Down Home Care, where she was a resident. She was born Nov. 9, 1909, in Hermansville, MI, the daughter of Louis and Anna (Hysen) Minerick. She married
Frank Van Horn on July 5, 1941, in Kenosha; he preceded her in death Dec. 15, 1969.
She is survived by her daughter, Marge Welch of Walworth; a son, Frank (Pamela) of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 3 grandchildren: Daniel Welch, Kelly Rinehart, and Kevin Welch; 7 great-grandchildren: Bethany, Amanda, Caitlin, Zachary, Ryan, Taiylor, and Brody; nieces and nephews; and also Shirley Keller, for all her special love and care. She was preceded in death by her husband; 5 sisters; 3 brothers; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002, at MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan, with Fr. Scott Leannah officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Philip cemetery, Allens Grove, WI.

JANESVILLE - Alisa J. Jeske, age 45, of 546 S. Franklin St., died Fri., Nov 2, 2001 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born on Nov. 27, 1955 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of John and Patricia (Roethler) Gillen. Alisa lived most of her life in Janesville. She married
Bill Jeske on March 14, 1998 in Janesville. She was a member of Janesville Bowmen, and a membr of the AA community. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, animals and the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Bill of Janesville; 2 daughters, Angelique and Christina; 2 step-children, Dewaine and James Jeske; her mother, Patricia Gillen of Florida, and her father, John Gillen of Janesville; 2 brothers, David and Robert Waterman; 5 sisters: Mildred, Sara, Kathleen, Pamela, and Judith. She was preceded in death by a step-son, Albert Jeske.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 7, 2001 at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME. Memorials are preferred to the family.

JANESVILLE - Anne B. Mitchell, age 87, of 2909 Woodlane Dr. died Thurs., Feb 12, 2004, at home. She was born on June 9, 1916, in Dearborn, MI, the daughter of Stanley and Barbara (Adams) Stonis. Anne was employed as a a Teletype Operator at Chrysler Corp. in Detroit, MI for over 20 years, retiring in 1979, when she moved to Janesville. Anne was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and an active member of the Janesville Senior Center. She enjoyed going to the theater for musicals and traveling.
Anne is survived by her son, William (Linda) Mitchell of Janesville; 3 grandchildren: Michael Mitchell of Janesville, David Mitchell of Orlando, FL and Audrey (Jerry) Smith of Janesville; and 4 great grandchildren: Jack, William, Matthew and Shane. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leo Stonis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Mon., Feb. 16, 2004

JANESVILLE - Mary Osmond, age 57, of 506 Exeter Dr., died on Sat., Nov. 29. 2003 at Mercy Hospital. She was born in Janesville on Nov. 7, 1946, the daughter of Eugene and Agnes (Shea) Osmond. She graduated from Craig High School and UW Whitewater. She had been a teacher for the Milwaukee School system and she moved back to Janesville in 1992. Mary was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
She is survived by her 5 brothers: Joseph (Brenda) Osmond of Janesville, Eugene (Connie) Osmond of Champaign, IL, John (Rita) Osmond of Hot Springs Village, AR, Thomas (Phyllis) Osmond and Robert Osmond both of Janesville; long time friend, Ann Mulvaney; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.

LAND O'LAKES, WI - Beverly Lorraine Johnson, age 74, died peacefully at home with her family on Oct. 23, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Oct. 1, 1927 in Lone Rock, WI, the daughter of Pearl and Martha Preston. She married
Gerald Johnson on June 29, 1946 in Stoughton. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Beverly retired from General Motors in 1987. She loved to do crossword puzzles, play bingo and knit.
She is survived by her 3 children: Sue (Jack) Barnes of Fort Atkinson, Jon (Linda) Johnson of Land O'Lakes and Mary Jo (Mark) Sievert of Janesville; 7 grandchildren: Christopher Olsen, Sarah Olsen, Jenny Mades, Chad Johnson, Brett Johnson, Kari Jo Sievert and Kirby Sievert. She also included Heather Metoyer, Andy Barnes, Mary Beth Olsen and Laura Olsen as part of her extended family of grandchildren. She is also survived by her very special friend and companion, Robert Vingers.
Visitation will be from 3 until 4:30 on Sunday, October 28, 2001, at MT. CALVARY LUTHERAN CHURCH, with a memorial service immediately following. A private burial will take place at Oak Hill cemetery at 9 a.m. on Mon., Oct. 29, 2001. Memorials may be sent to Dr. Kate Lakeland Hospice c/o Howard Young Health Center in Woodruff, WI.

JANESVILLE - Dorothy S. Johnson, age 68, a Janesville resident for many years, died on Fri., Nov. 2, 2001 at Meadow Park Health Care Center. She was born in Dover, NH on May 11, 1933. She married
Herman W. Johnson on May 16, 1952 in Dover, NH. He preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1905. Dorothy worked for many years at Motel 6 in the housekeeping department.
She is survived by 6 children: Earl (Barb Lair) of Danville, IN, Cindy Salano of Beloit, Mike (Cathy) Johnson, Tracy (Jerry) Streuly, Margaret (Duane) Church and Toni (Scot Asbaugh) Mathews, all of Janesville; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters. She is further survived by her husband and parents. She was predeceased by 3 sons: Myron, Pee Wee and Clifford; and a sister.

Robert W. Jones on April 14, 1956, in St. Mary Catholic Church, Janesville. She retired in 1995 from SSI Technologies. She was a member of St. William Catholic Church, and was an avid bowler. Donna was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; 6 children: Rick (Linda) Jones of Janesville, Gary (Julie) Jones of Albany, Jeff (Phyllis) Jones of Footville, Matt Jones, Bobbi Jo (Tim) O'Leary and Pam (Jeff) Shoemaker all of Janesville; 10 grandchildren: Melissa, Felicia, Amanda, Joseph, Crystal, Brianne, Angel, Erin, Stacy and Alex; a great grandson, Michael David; a brother, Fran Stearns of Pardeeville; 5 sisters: Mary Wolters of Brodhead, Margaret Chamberlain, Betty Clark and Pat Brodie all of Janesville, Kathleen Parks of Milwaukee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Bob, Tom and Joe Stearns; and 2 sisters, Jean Briggs and JoAnn Terry.

MILTON - Murphy, Richard M. 'Dick', age 21, of 10200 N. Clear Lake Rd., died at St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford, IL, on Sat., May 25, 2002. He was born Jan. 21, 1981, in Janesville, the son of Michael and Lucille (Wellnitz) Murphy. He graduated from Milton High School in 1999 and completed 2 years at Blackhawk Tech's apprentice program. He was a member of F.F.A. for 4 years and Milton 4-H for 12 years. He loved golfing, hunting, and spending time with his friends and family. Dick was an electrical apprentice at McGrath Electric.
He is survived by his parents, Michael J. and Lucille D. Murphy; his brothers: Phillip, Stephen, and Michael; the love of his life, Jessica Carwardine; his grandparents, Joe and Bea Wellnitz; aunts and uncles: Herman (Jeanne), Joe (Patti) Philip (Patty), Greg (Shelley), Mark (Tina), Tom (Danielle), Francis Wellnitz, Colleen (Doug) Hansen, Cindy (Seth) Johnson, Bernita (Tom) Roth, Rick (Sandy), Tim (Diane), Ed (Patty), Carol and Margaret Murphy, and Pat (Herb) Kunkel; 49 cousins; and numerous friends.
