Francis P. “Fran” Dimmig, 93, of Milton, WI, died unexpectedly on Monday, April 28, 2008, at Beloit Memorial Hospital shortly after he was admitted. He was born on Oct. 16, 1914, in Tremont, IL, son of the late Christopher and Emma (Suchart) Dimmig. Fran married Liberty Bauman in Bloomington, IL, and they had one son, William. Liberty died from pneumonia in 1939. He later married Betty M. Gandy on Aug. 14, 1944, in Burbank, CA, and together they had three children. Betty predeceased him on March 14, 1988. He also was an avid sports fan, following all of the Milton teams, Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers, and the Milwaukee Bucks, to mention a few.
