William Brimer
William N. Brimer, 73, of Eau Claire, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2001, at Luther Hospital.
William was born on June 8, 1928, in Menomonie to William and Julia (Lee) Brimer. He attended and graduated from Menomonie schools. When he was sixteen, he joined the United Sates Army. William married Carol M. Bauerkemper in Menomonie on June 23, 1956.
William was a senior accountant for General Motors at A.C. Sparkplugs in Oak Creek, Wisconsin from 1959 to 1972, and Delco Electronics in Kokomo, Indiana from 1972 to 1990. He returned to Oak Creek from 1990 to 1993.
He was a member of the Lutheran Missouri Synod all of his life. He was active in the VFW Post #305 as Quartermaster for the last five years. He was also active in the University of Wisconsin Alumni Chapter.
William is survived by three daughters, Dawn R. (Brian) Brimer Ahearn and Susan D. Brimer, both of Romeoville, Illinois and Karen Brimer of Downers Grove, Illinois; three sons, William N. Brimer II of West Allis, Wisconsin, Brian J. Brimer and John C. Brimer, both of Eau Claire; two brothers, Donovan P. Brimer of Fridley, Minnesota, and Jack O. Brimer of Eau Claire; three sisters-in-law, Mary Alyce Willison of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Janet Diebel of Roseville, Minnesota, and Marlys Boeder of Wilmar, Minnesota; a brother-in-law, Thomas Bauerkemper of River Falls, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Brian Ahearn of Romeoville and Kelsey M. Brimer of Washington State.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Carol; a daughter, Julie; three grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Holten.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at Smith Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and one hour prior to services at Smith Funeral Chapel.

LeRoy Ginder
LeRoy H. Ginder, age 79, formerly of the town of Anson, died Sunday, October 21, 2001, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home, Chippewa Falls.
LeRoy was born December 7, 1921, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to Stella (Nissley) and Benjamin Ginder. He grew up in Oxford, Penn., where his family farmed.
He married Elva Spickler on December 16, 1944, in Lancaster County. They resided there until moving to Chippewa Falls, town of Anson, in 1964, where they continued to farm. They lived in the town of Anson until April 2000, when LeRoy became a resident at the Chippewa Manor.
Survivors include his wife, Elva; six daughters, Miriam (Gary) Sommerfeld of Round Rock, Texas, Phebe (Clyde) Moss of Ellsworth, Mary (Thomas) Sterling of Chippewa Falls, Marty (Greg) Schild of Chippewa Falls, Rachel Ginder of Yorkville, Ill., and Rhoda Ginder of Springfield, Missouri; one son, L. Benjamin (Barbara) Ginder of Cadott; three sisters, Arlene (Martin) Spickler of Mt. Joy, Penn., Rhoda Stauffer of Ephrata, Penn., and Verna (Jay) Faus of Manheim, Penn.; two brothers, Rufus (Anna) Ginder of Manheim, Penn., and Lloyd (Nancy) Ginder of Manheim, Penn.; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and caring and devoted friends, Mike and Rhonda Bichner; and his friends at McDonald's in Chippewa Falls.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter in infancy.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, at the Chippewa Manor Chapel of the Resurrection, with the Rev. Fr. Robert B. Hoekstra officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Chippewa Falls.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel, Chippewa Falls and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the Chippewa Manor Chapel.

James Wright
James A. Wright, 64, of 2925 Orange Street, Eau Claire, died Saturday, October 20, 2001.
He was born October 24, 1936, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of George and Ferris (Cook) Wright. Jim married Sonja Sielaff on October 5, 1957, in Osseo, Wisconsin.
He served in the United States Marine Corp from 1955 to 1959, and was a member of American Legion Post #550. He worked at Automotive Machine Works in Eau Claire for over forty years.
Jim was an avid Packer fan. He enjoyed deer hunting with his family and spending time at their lake property near Bruce, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Sonja; daughter, Joni Wright (partner, Dawn Goossens) of New Richmond; son, Jayme (Gerilyn) Wright of Fall Creek; son, Jon (Jennifer) Wright of Amery; granddaughter, Kaycie; grandsons, Kory, Kolten and Brecken; sisters, Joyce (Ed) Johnston, Ginger (Clem) Bluem and Barbara Lawrence, all of Eau Claire; brothers, Tom (June) Wright of Chippewa Falls, Gerry (Patti) Wright of Eau Claire and George (Brenda) Wright of Eau Claire.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bob; and sister, Idabelle.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Eau Claire.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2001, at Smith Funeral Chapel.
The family requests memorials in lieu of flowers.

Beverly Anderson
Beverly Ione Anderson, age 75, of Kenosha, died on Saturday, January 26, 2002, at Kenosha Hospital & Medical Center.
She was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, on May 17, 1926, to the late Helmer and Ella Mae (Bell) Peterson. She was educated in Eau Claire, and resided there until moving to Kenosha in 1960.
On August 14, 1950, she married Everett Anderson in Stillwater, Minnesota. He survives her.
She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Kenosha.
Survivors include her husband, Everett, of Kenosha; one daughter, Jaclyn Martin of Eau Claire; one son, Robert Anderson of Kenosha; one brother, Willard Peterson of Eau Claire; one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 31st at 10 a.m., at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Avenue, Kenosha, with interment in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
The Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, Kenosha, is handling arrangements.

Charles Ferry
COLFAX -- Charles V. Ferry, 85, of Colfax, died Saturday, January 26, 2002, at the American Lutheran Home in Menomonie.
Charles was born February 14, 1916, in Colfax to Charles and Minnie (Breezee) Ferry. On July 14, 1939, he married Leona Schwartz in Menomonie and together they spent 20 years in Minneapolis before returning to Colfax in 1980 to retire. Over the years, he was employed as a tool and dye maker for Honeywell, Tran, E.O. Smith, Pressure Cooker and Minnesota Mining. He was a member of the Menomonie Masonic Lodge 164, the Shrine, Zor Temple and the Scottish Rite.
Survivors include his wife, Leona of Colfax; his four children, Beverly Burach of La Crosse, Judy (Larry) Anderson of Apple Valley, Charleen (Bruce) Johnson of Brooklyn Center and Charles Ferry of Colfax; one brother, Robert Ferry of Colfax; one sister, Alma Quarters; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one daughter, Barb Fiers.
Funeral services for Charles Ferry will be Wednesday, January 30, 2002, at 1 p.m. at Sampson Funeral Home in Colfax, with burial in Otter Creek Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
Sampson Funeral Chapel in Colfax is handling arrangements.

Orville Graese
GLENWOOD CITY -- Orville W. Graese, 74, of Glenwood City, Wis., died Thursday, January 24, 2002, at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire, Wis.
Orville was born April 24, 1927, in Glenwood City, Wis., to Albert Emil and Helen Marie (Schneider) Graese. He graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1945. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. from July of 1945 to January of 1947, where he attended the weather school at Chanute Field, Ill., and served as a weather observer in Okinawa during WWII.
Orville married Roberta Fennie on February 19, 1946. Following the military he became partners with his father, operating Glenwood City Machine Shop, Inc., until his sons assumed ownership. Orville had a strong faith in God and a great love for his family. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City and Curry Ainsworth American Legion Post 168. He served as a volunteer on the Glenwood City Fire Department for 22 years. He also served on the Glenwood City Council.
Orville is preceded in death by his parents.
Orville is survived by his wife, Roberta Graese of Glenwood City, Wis.; four children, Marilyn (Richard) Foss of La Crosse, Wis., David (Nancy) Graese of Glenwood City, Wis., Michael (Jody) Graese of Glenwood City, Wis., and Wendy (John) Carlson of Black Duck, Minn.; grandchildren, Jenny (Todd) Myer, Thomas Graese, Laura Graese, Mark Foss, Ann (Kyle) Wonderling, Benjamin Graese, Adrienne Graese, James Graese, Mary Graese, Christina Carlson, Kelly Carlson and Carrie Carlson; great-grandchild, Derek Myer; sister, Phyllis (Aaron) Palewicz of Glenwood City. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2002, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, with Reverend Ralph Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood City Cemetery.
Friends may call at Everts Funeral Home in Glenwood City today, January 28, 2002, from 4 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Hans Hanson
BLOOMER -- Hans Oscar Hanson, 90, of Bloomer, formerly of Nelson, died January 27, 2002, at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Bloomer.
Hans was the son of Paul and Hannah (Nystuen) Hanson. He was born April 28, 1911, and raised in the town of Modena, Buffalo County, rural Mondovi. He was commonly known as "Oskie" as he grew up. He married Wilma Inez Caturia in 1932. They lived in Arkansaw until 1961. They bought and opened the Hanson Nursing Home in Pepin and ran it until 1969. His wife passed away in 1966. He then lived in Arkansaw, Pepin, and Nelson. He has been a resident of the Maplewood Nursing Home since April 1999.
Hans Oscar Hanson is survived by two daughters, Myrna L. (Jack) Sosnosskie of Bellview, Nebraska, and Marjorie L. (Jerome) Bien of Boyceville; one son, Richard P. (Lillian) Hanson of Bloomer; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ann Baier of Osceola.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma; three sisters; and four brothers.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2002, at Lyster Lutheran Church, Nelson. Rev. Michael Vetsch will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, January 28, 2002, at Rhiel Funeral Home, Durand, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
